The actress said, when Siminalayi Fubara became Governor, lots of her colleagues in the movie industry congratulated her thinking the Governor is her brother

Speaking to publicist, Dave Tuetara fondly called, Dave of Africa, The actress said she and Governor Fubara are not related and not even from same Local Government area in Rivers State, that she is from Asari Toru LGA while the Governor is from Opobo/Nkoro LGA.

"Lots of people think I and Governor Fubara are related, but the truth is we are not even from the same Local Government,

"We just bear same surname because we are both from Ijaw ethnic group, it's common for ijaw people that are not related or even from same state to have same surname"

She said anyone that wants to call her "Governor's sister" is free to do so, because the Governor is her Ijaw brother.

She also advised the Governor to look into the entertainment and tourism sector in Rivers State, that it can generate more revenue for the state.

Prominent societal leader and Nigerian civil war veteran, Elder Eugene Omubo Peters was buried at his hometown, Abonemma, Rivers State on Saturday 23rd September, 2023 at a ceremony attended by family members and associates

He was honoured with a lying in state and gun salute by the Nigerian army.

Late Elder Eugene Omubo passed away on June 18th 2023 at bridge hospital in Port Harcourt at the age of 79.

Until he death, he was a loving father and grandfather who cared for his family and the society at large

Elder Eugene Omubo was born on September 23rd 1943.

He joined the Nigerian Army in 1969 and fought in the civil war. He also worked in Aba for his rehabilitation where he met his lovely wife, Anthonia, a native of Umuozi in Ngwangele Local Government area of Imo State

While in the Army, he worked at Calabar, Zaria, he even went to Liberia and finally in Port Harcourt at 34 Battalion Bori camp where he served and retired in 1999

He married his wife on 24th December 1971 and was blessed with five girls and two boys, though he lost his oldest son in 2015.

Elder Eugene traveled widely and did visit the United States of America with his wife from time to time

Few days ago, there was news trending all over Nigeria about Entertainment Entrepreneur, Mr Eazi earning big after a company called Gamma bought one of his company called, Vydia for $1 billion

Bayelsa Industrialist, Dr. Eruani Azibapu pays Condolence visit to Bayelsa Governor, Douye Diri over the Demise of his Father.

Industrialist and President of Azikel Group, Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR, on Wednesday 14th February, paid a condolence visit to Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri at his country home in Sampou, over the death of his father, Late Pa Abraham Diri.

Late Pa Abraham Diri who is a retired Headmaster and the patriarch of the Diri family died on Sunday at the age of 88.

While speaking, Dr Eruani said that though it’s a sad moment, but Pa. Abraham Diri would be celebrated for producing the Governor, in whom he also inculcated good morals and values, evident in his leadership style in the state.

Said he “We are with you in this low moment, we are going to be with you till you lay Papa to rest."
