After the first Screening, the list was gone all over again for people who missed it the first time. But of a truth, I don't knw abt People who missed it yesterday. But NAF in PH was very linient. NA won't go over the list for the second time. I think you still have a chance. My advice is. Come by everyday till the last day. And ask questions at the base
Firstlieutenant:
Bro do u have any info for those who missed their scheduled screening date today, in PH. Whatever u can share would be appreciated thanks.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Airforce DSSC 2016 Recruitment Out! by Davexx(m): 7:12am On May 02, 2016
Those (guys) that selected less than 1.68m, less than 24 or more than 35 years by december, and third class degree won't find their names. NOTE: those that gave wrong info, or incomplete credentials were disqualified
Journi2America:

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Airforce DSSC 2016 Recruitment Out! by Davexx(m): 7:15pm On May 01, 2016
I'm reporting live from 97 special operations NAF porthacourt, its been a long day, I was screened and here is the breakdown.

Not all applicants will be screened as the ones automatically screened out from the database due to maybe wrong age, height or quallification didn't find their names.

We sat on bare ground for many hours under the sun through out the process, at a time it rained on us, we got soaked and dried again

We (guys) were stripped of shirts for checkups, (chest, back, foot, scars, tatoos, marks, height and weight)

There was no exam, just. Screening of documents, originals of ALL, I repeat ALL! And if they are correct and upto date, then you have passed screening

Some applicants were screened out

They said and I qoute "sucessfull candidates names will be published, those who will proceed to kaduna.

The screening continues...

That's all for now, Dave out!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by Davexx(op): 5:36pm On Apr 30, 2016
In addition, DSSC promotion is automatic and smoother than the SSC, DSSC if am correct gets promoted as their years in service increases wereas, SSC fights for promotion attending courses and and writing exams to get promoted, competting with regulars (NDA graduates)

SSC are trained for pure combat (combatants) as such they work at fore front of combat zones at war times, any other time they are to manage barracks, platoons, commands etc.

SSC officers commands troops while DSSC do not

NOTE: if you are shortlisted for SSC, you become 2nd leutenant but your actual mates are those In thermal 1 in NDA because you are promoted to captain together, but DSSC don't wait to get captain. This means at a point SSC will salute his DSSC mate

Thanks
collins777:
The advantages of DSSC over SSC are as follows:
1. DSSC is exclusively for professionals, hence DSSC applicants have higher chances of being enlisted more than SSC applicants. This is the case because the graduates from NDA are not usually professionals (lawyers, medical doctors, Nurses etc) so they are just ordinary graduates with BSC and just like the ordinary graduates applying for SSC so while they can compete for available space with ordinary graduates applying for SSC, they can not compete with the DSSC applicants who are professionals. Remember also the NDA graduates are given priority over SSC applicants in the recruitment process because of the military training of the former.

2. The DSSC applicants are often given higher rank and salary benefits including allowances upon enlistment than the SSC applicants since the DSSC applicants are seen as professionals.

A question was once asked, why are people so obsessed with past questions whenever they are faced with examshuh I tell you, some people spend more time looking for past questions than actually studying. 60% of posts here is about past questions. For Christ's sake we ain't undergraduates anymore. We know for sure its gonna be GMAT.... Use of english, some maths, and current affairs. Study about the histoy of nigeria, about NAF and probably other military arms. Then you are ! So guys pls just study!!

Congrats to those who sucessfully applied, if you are done, you will notice that unlike the navy and airforce application where we selected our prefered test centers and where one can choose a center close to his/her residence, NA didn't have that option now the big question is, how them wan take do am? Cuz e no go funny oo

I take exception to your sentiment. Although only photocopy of international passport or driver's license is mentioned, it is not forbidden if your signee can provide a photocopy of any other generally acceptable card like National ID card. National ID card has the same recognition with driver's license or international passport since they are all issued by the same authority (Federal Government of Nigeria). That National ID card is not included does not mean they don't accept it, its omission was a mere oversight because there is no rationale for accepting driver's license while National ID card is rejected. Thanks.
you have no idea how these people are eager to throw people out based on protocol. In the force intruction is intruction, get a pasport or drivers licence, period!

Hello guys, I use glasses, but I wanna serve and protect the honor of my father's land and it's people. Do you think I would be screened out because of my glasses
Cc mimzy007
it depends on what you applied for, for example if its was army short service, u would hav missed it cuz of ur aiming its pure combat course, but NAF is mainly non combat so u are in place. Cuz I see teachers and office people with glasses, thanks
