I am a lady and I don't have any good reason to go to the bank tongue by the way, the one across my street is still looking ugly and devastating undecided

Hi, I've read some of ur comment and I must say I understand everything u said.

It is normal if u still see d Bank as old people's Bank, dat I believe is because d transformation is yet to reflect in that branch building close to u. Am sure if u go inside, d service is quite standard now.

The transformation first started with her value and culture, then they introduced a new brand, and structural outlook.

If that branch close to u is still looking old, just be rest assured that in no time that branch will be transformed. Maybe then u will start feeling d youthfulness of dis new Union Bank.

It is a gradual process.
Like I stated earlier, in about 2yrs from now, the bank may become the leading Bank in Nigeria.

Same union bank that doesn't have usd banking?
That has a dormant twitter handle? @UNIONBANK_NG #unioncare shit!
That can't reset my mobile banking app password for over a month?
That deducts sms alert charges for 3 months when I don't even get no alerts?
chuchuo:

Na lie you lie. Union Bank does USD banking.
@Chuchuo Your response is so on point.
@oluwafreshkid I think u shud visit Union Bank and see things for ursef

These are screenshot of our convos...note the date difference in the tweet

Gtb wouldn't waste such time

Your complaint is still baseless.

Atlst u got a response. There are many banks that will probably not respond at all, so it's not an issue of Union Bank is old or new. There's a tendency d delay was as a result of a large number of incoming twitter dm at dat point in time from Twitter users, and each one will be treated based on first come first serve. UBN of before don't even have twitter handle, talkless of respond or even have staffs dat can use Twitter.

U ll agree with me, dat there have bn an improvement and d transformation is quite obvious.

I really don't know, it depends on the role you applied for. but you can still add your work experience even after applying, log in again and first remove any entry in the work experience area and then add a fresh one by filling the spaces there. give a try again, it should save

I did that, cleared what I had, but it's still giving same error msg.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: First Bank Of Nigeria Insurance Is Recruiting (entry Level And Managerial Posts) by David0(m): 6:58am On May 21, 2016
I tried saving my work experience, it won't save. Keeps telling me double entry, primary key bla bla bla had to apply without my work experience.

For this reason I created another profile but same thing happened.

I hope d fact my experience is not captured on d platform, it won't affect my chances.

I think this is worth sharing.
Union Bank is gradually hitting her mark and in next 2 years may likely be Nigeria's leading Bank.
If you are still in doubt, Kindly visit any of her branches and experience the transformation currently going on in the bank.

Union Bank recently won the award for ‘Best Brand Development To Reflect Changed Mission / Vision / Positioning’ beating Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Bank Al Bilad, Bahrain Finance Company, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Industry Gulf Finance and VOX, and ‘Best Visual Identity From The Financial Services Sector’ beating Bank ABC, ADCB, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Industry Gulf Finance and MAF Finance.

I say big Congratulations to Union Bank on this achievement, and wish them many more to come.

Tell us how u got the bank job. Its possible u know someone. Or you have an additional certificate or you are one of the few lucky ones.

I know of a bank that does not accept B.ed and funny enough that's the only thing they don't accept. They even accept OND.

Well sorry, I don't know anyone. I applied same way everyone else applied, went thru d process like others and made it.

Nobody questioned my Bsc/Bed certificate. And No, I got no additional qualification.

It's not the course, it's u if u don't make it.

No bank will turn anyone down cos of B.ed, whoever tot of dat shud look for another excuse for failing an interview or whatever.

Engineering, mechanic, Microbiology graduates dey work for bank, Na Business Education bank go ignore?

Stop looking down on that course, u don't know what u got.

Except u just studied d course since dat was what was given to u when u got admission. U probably never liked it from d start, dats probably d reason anyone wud think their course is an obstacle to getting a good job.

I'm a fresh graduate, I majored in Business Education (Accounting Option) in one of Nigeria's foremost University. I am someone who believes in making a difference and not just earning a pay.

I'm quite started with the way employers view my course as though it is irrelevant to the workplace. Hence, I think I need a defined career for myself.

Also, taking Accounting as a career is a no-no for now because I didn't study pure Accounting and going for ICAN isn't possible now due to paucity of funds (though, planning to further when I get a job).

Thanks in anticipation of your response.

Cc: Lalasticlala, Jarus etc

Bro u actually studied a beautiful course, but u seen to under rate it.
No employer is looking at ur course in anyway, it's d mindset u hv towards d course dat makes u interpret situations wrongly.

I also studied Business Education Accounting option, and I currently work in the Bank.

U know that course is broad, and expose u to a lot of things. It's a course that helps u become innovative, so by dis, u shud never be broke.

Bro whatever u love doing, start doing it in a professional way, while u apply ur business sense to it.

Social media was never meant to be an avenue for cyber bullying and insults. Its only shallow-minded people with low self esteem who hide behind a keyboard and spew, trash to make themselves important that can utilise it for such. In a few hours from now, those same individuals dust their bibles and go off to church!

U must understand that, the same way people think and behave to each other in reality, it's same way u see characters on social media.

U will always find d negative minded as well as positive minded people on social media.

U don't expect everyone to be happy at what u do or what u think. It's social media, everyone is free to express themselves.

So wen u bring up family issues to social media, u shud b ready to accept any form of reactions.
