Aljazirahnews recalls that the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, was established by General Yakubu Gowon military administration in 1973 to foster unity among Nigerians, and social integration along the ethnic divides of the Nigerian nation. Through the scheme, corp members are posted to cities far from their states of origin. This action is aimed at bringing about unity in diversity in a country adjudged to have over 250 ethnic tribes. Graduates of tertiary institutions are required to take part in the NYSC programme for one year. This is known as national service year. Its advantages a hybrid pronged. The programme has also helped in creating jobs for many Nigerian youths over the years and has facilitated inter-cultural, marital, political and even business relationships. Aljazirahnews notes sadly that the scheme is presently under scrutiny due to increasing doubts over its usefulness and security concerns. Many have called for its abolishment, while others say it should either be made optional or the programme be restructured. Many believe the NYSC scheme, which was established mainly for integrating Nigerian youths, has outlived its usefulness and is no longer relevant. Issues such as postings, delays in mobilization, difficulties in getting exemption letters for those not eligible to participate in the scheme, logistics and the unwillingness of employers to absorb corps members posted to their organizations after service have made the scheme unattractive to a large extent. Today, this lofty ideal is fast waning and the scheme has been met with stern criticism by Nigerians. It is against this backdrop that Aljazirahnews clamors for its re positioning and restructuring for maximum effect which was the initial burden of the initiators. There is need for the federal government to go back to the drawing board, redesign it and help the programme achieve its objectives. Aljazirahnews noted with horror a few weeks earlier when ballot was being cast in various institutions due to paucity of funds to select those graduates who would be going for the service this year. We are however happy that the President Muhammadu Buhari immediately waded in by including the NYSC as one of the benefiting establishments from the virement request for urgent cash sent to the National Assembly last week. Also the lives of the nation’s youths are no longer safe in the places of their primary assignment. This criticism is borne out of the fact that hundreds of corps members have been brutally maimed and killed in the regions they were posted to serve due to religious, ethnic or political violence perpetuated by the extremist terrorist groups, armed robbery attacks, auto accidents or illness. For the above reasons, it will be wise for every young graduate to serve in her state of origin, many have argued. This idea of viewing corps members as ‘strange people will stop.’ The incessant killing of innocent corps members will reduce drastically if not entirely. The current NYSC posting policy is geared towards developing sectors such as rural health, primary and secondary education; rural infrastructural development and agriculture. Hence many corps members are posted mainly to primary and secondary schools regardless of their disciplines. Is this really a sound idea, Aljazirahnews asks? As it is at present, many corps members are opposed to this policy because it makes them redundant in certain organizations. The unwillingness of many employers to retain corps members posted to their organizations and the pittance paid, sexual harassment allegations are yet other reasons Aljazirahnews calls for a review of the scheme. We opine that any private organization that requests for corps members must sign an agreement to keep them (if there are available spaces) after the service year if they perform well and equally treat them well while serving. We urge the Federal government take a holistic look at the scheme, looking at modern trends and work at improving the scheme by reducing the adverse effects and limitations that have given the scheme the wrong impression. We also plead with the government to redesign the NYSC scheme to make it more youth-friendly and provide adequate security that will encourage parents to be willing to release their children and wards for the year long, intensive service. http://aljazirahnews.com/index.php/2016/10/29/editorial-nysc-lets-go-back-drawing-board/

A prominent Nigerian business mogul and the Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote is owing his workers four-months salaries despite his plans to buy football club, Arsenal for a huge amount of cash. The Nigerian billionaire, who owns the Dangote Group of companies, which produces different kinds of consumable goods and non-consumable goods whose current net worth is 12.9 billion USD has put most of his workers in hardship due to non-payment of salaries and subsequent laying off a sizeable number of his workforce in recent times. According to a recent media report, Dangote who has refused the workers’ salaries is claiming to be hit by recession and losing an estimated $ 4.4 billion this year. A few of the affected workers in the group based in Lagos told Aljazirahnews in confidence that it was true that the business mogul was owing staff entitlements up to 4 months but many of them could not talk as a result of fear victimisation and possible loss of their jobs. They are peeved that their employer is however planning to buy Arsenal, a dream he has had over the years. Victim injured by Dangote truck cries for justice However in a swift reaction to a request for information sent to him by Aljazirahnews, the Head of Corporate Communications, Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina said the allegations were untrue and should be ignored. He said tersely that his boss has always fulfilled his monetary obligations to all his employers over the years. Newsmen could not independently verify the counter-claims. Dangote with a reported worth of $10.9billion, outlined his plans to buy Arsenal in an interview with Bloomberg Television in New York recently. The 59-year-old, a self-professed Arsenal supporter, will become the first African owner of a Premier League club if his takeover bid is successful. However, after losing $4.4billion this year mainly due to the depreciation of Nigeria’s currency, he is waiting for his finances to improve before attempting to buy the club, it was gathered. “It’s not about buying Arsenal and just continuing with business as usual,” Dangote said. “It’s about buying Arsenal and turning it around. I’ve run a very successful business and I think I can also run a very successful team. “Right now, with what we’re facing, over $20 billion of projects, I cannot do both,” he said in the interview. Stan Kroenke, Arsenal’s current majority shareholder with a 66% stake in the club, has an estimated worth of $8billion. Dangote, ranked 67th on the Forbes rich list, is worth more than both Kroenke and Usmanov and had claimed that the building of an oil refinery in Nigeria will give him the finances to secure a takeover. “When we get this refinery on track, I will have enough time and enough resources to pay what they are asking for,” he told BBC Hausa. “There were a couple of us who were rushing to buy [in 2011], and we thought with the prices then, the people who were interested in selling were trying to go for a kill,” Dangote added. “We backtracked, because we were very busy doing other things, especially our industrialisation…” Many have argued that Dangote, who has enjoyed immense benefits from the Nigerian state which has seen his businesses grow in recent years has not ploughed back enough to help his country men and women navigate the challenging economic terrain. http://aljazirahnews.com/index.php/2016/11/03/dangote-owes-workers-four-months-salaries-set-buy-arsenal/

Weeks after the altercation between President Muhammadu Buhari and the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, sources close to the seat of power in Abuja have revealed to newsmen, the political decisions and appointments which reportedly angered the president’s wife. The sources also say the political war between the First Lady and the acclaimed Kaduna Mafia which closely guard the President’s political moves may be entering a new stage. Aisha Buhari it would be recalled had recently carpeted her husband publicly in a widely-circulated media interview, while he was away in Germany on an official assignment for allowing himself to be taken captive by a political cabal who did not work for his victory at the polls in 2015 but now enjoy perks of office. She had further said that she, including many Nigerians would not work for the ruling party’s chances of retaining power in 2019 if it presents her husband as candidate. Buhari who has since assumption of office curtailed the activities of the Office of First Lady quickly responded to his wife’s summation by saying her place was not in political matters but in the kitchen and the bedroom, a remark that had generated controversy globally. The president’s wife had revealed the existence of a ‘power cabal’ which was enjoying where it did not sow asking the president to reward the people that actively worked for his victory. Aisha Buhari, 45, who has been married to the president for over twenty-seven years, had hit at the president, warning of grave political consequences if her husband allowed the power cabal block him from Nigerians whom he swore to serve. She told the BBC that almost eighty percent of those who are currently in her husband’s cabinet were unknown to him and were not card carrying members of the ruling party or voters who contributed to his victory. She alluded to the fact that a cartel of political personalities led by a notable uncle of the president, Alhaji Mamman Daura were holding sway in the corridors of power. Daura is not alone in the power game. The Chief of Staff to the President, Gen. Abba Kyari [rtd] and a few others around the president collectively decide for Buhari, Aisha had subtly alleged in her interview. Not even the acclaimed national leader of the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress, (APC), and former Lagos governor, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the DG Buhari Campaign Organisation and current transportation minister, Hon. Rotimi Ameachi, party boss, Chief John Oyegun seem to know how decisions are arrived at in a party they all worked to install two years ago, the interview seemed to point out. [url]Read also —Cold war in Aso Villa as PMB tightens noose on Aisha Buhari[/url] Who were Aisha Buhari referring to? Recently Aljaziranews spoke with sources at the Presidential Villa who claim to know the specific appointments made by the President that did not go down well with his wife. Also, an investigation carried out by the reporter in Abuja following the BBC report, further revealed that, the powerful Northern Mafia earlier nailed by ex- President Olusegun Obasanjo who also helped to frustrate the three-time effort of Buhari to clinch power has gradually surfaced in less than a year after he took over from President Goodluck Jonathan. Alhaji Mamman Daura is the arrow head of the Kaduna Mafia. Not even the president’s wife can reach him once it is an official matter, it was learnt. The powerful Northern Mafia has strategically planted their children in Buhari’s government even at the detriment of the real APC leaders like former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, APC leader, Ahmed Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi, among others. With Daura on board and in fact, in charge, the child of an ex-Budget and Planning Minister, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, Aisha Abubakar from Sokoto got appointed as minister against all odds. From Adamawa state, Daura’s close ally, Alhaji Musa Bello had his son, Muhammad Bello picked as the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) despite the presence of better candidates especially those who worked for APC at the last polls. Muhammad until his plum job in FCT, was the chairman of the National Hajj Commission. As an appointee under the PDP government, he was noted to have contributed greatly to the return campaign of ex-president Jonathan and the PDP, a fact that Aisha considered as troubling. Aljazirahnews learnt that Aisha Buhari’s anger also stemmed from the fact that the minister reportedly rejected her notes to appoint a few nominees from her in some FCT parastatals including Aso Radio, Abuja Geography Information System, (AGIS) when Muhammad recently reconstituted the two agencies. Other Kaduna Mafia appointees that the First Lady was not comfortable with are the ministers of Water Resources, Alhaji Musa Suleiman, Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema who is from Imo state but with close links with Mamman Daura. Those Aisha Buhari believes can do the job but are side-lined The First Lady it was learnt is unhappy that notable northerners believed to have worked tirelessly for the president like Dr. Yakubu Lame [Bauchi], Yusufu Tuga [Katsina], Dr. Hassan Lawal [Nasarawa], Alhaji Waziri Bulama {Borno], Hakeem Baba Bello [Kaduna], Ismail Ahmed [Kano], Alhaji Umaru Dembo [Sokoto] and Rev. Ken Madaki [Nasarawa] have been neglected. Others excluded from political consideration include: Senator Mamora Olorunnibe [Lagos] Dele Alake [Ogun], Senator Magnus Abbe [Rivers] among others. Also, juicy board appointments made by the President in recent months without the input of party leaders did not seem to go down well with the First Lady. Of note is the recent appointment of a well-known ‘PDP’ man, Senator Victor Ndoma Egba to the board of the NDDC, and another Senator Ita Enang as presidential adviser to the National Assembly while dozens of APC stalwarts have been reportedly ignored. The President’s media and political handlers however have consistently defended his choice of appointees noting that it was keeping in line with his campaign promises when he said he ‘belonged to everybody but belonged to no one.’ A few other Nigerians have equally advised the President’s wife to stay out of politicking and leave her husband to do the job as he deems fit. http://aljazirahnews.com/index.php/2016/11/23/political-war-intensifies-aisha-buhari-katsina-mafia/

Fresh investigations into the activities of the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has revealed how he reportedly spent workers’ funds saved under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). The Governor reportedly expended the savings during the year and failed to return the money. It was gathered that after repeated efforts by state civil service unions to get a refund of the spent money, the governor threatened to sack those who confronted him. He said that the state was broke due to poor budgetary allocation and not because of fraud. Recalls that the Governor recently, during a protest in Abeokuta, the state capital used harsh words on the public servants, describing them as ‘brainless for leading a protest.’ Days after the incident which was followed by a repeat protest, the governor sacked about five union leaders and suspended other junior members of staff for insubordination. A reliable state source in the loop, who spoke under condition of anonymity because he was not allowed to speak on the issue as a civil servant exposed how the governor also brought ethnicity into the state civil service. He accused the governor of appointing a professor from the University of Ibadan, who also hailed from Owu as Rector of the Ogun State Polytechnic. Describing the governor as being arrogant and saucy, he said the he was insensitive to plight of the masses. The source wondered why a governor would stoop ‘so low to abusing his public servants without considering any diplomatic strategy to addressing the situation.’ “He’s not helping things by being vindictive and wicked. He takes joy in sacking workers at will. Recall the sack of some teachers simply because they set exam questions which he thought were against his administration. “It wasn’t non-payment of salaries alone that many are unhappy about. There is also non-remittance of deductions from workers’ salaries. Those deductions were meant for the worker’s payment of the contributory pension scheme, some to go to worker’s co-operative and thrift societies. “These are legitimate earnings of the workers. The non-remittance has resulted in workers’ cooperative societies not having money to give out as loans to members! These deductions were continuously taken by government for over one year without remittance thereby making it impossible for workers to do any meaningful projects.” Speaking further, he said, the governor is, “very wicked and inconsiderate. I remember late last year when he invited about four or five permanent secretaries and informed them he was going to retire them. When they asked him if they had committed any offence, he said no, that he only wanted to appoint new people! “He has always been promising to pay the monies diverted. That’s why the workers got fed up with his lies and went on strike. Do you know he graduated HND from MAPOLY? Up till now he has not done anything appreciable for the school. The road to the ‘poly’ is in a bad shape but that is not his concern. As a matter of fact, he has never identified with the poly which was the ladder to his present position in life “As it is, the workers are hell bent on getting their money. Recently a professor from University of Ibadan was brought by the governor as rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic without an interview.” Newsmen could not independently verify the claims but a source close to the governor who would not like to be quoted as he is not authorized to speak said the allegations were all tissues of lies and should be discountenanced as such. He noted that the governor has always striven to deliver the dividends of democracy to his people despite the limited resources available to state coffers. http://aljazirahnews.com/index.php/2016/11/21/revealed-ogun-governor-diverted-workers-pensions-private-use/

Aljazirahnews has gathered that the specie of rice being imported to Nigeria from Thailand is not consumed by citizens in the same exporting country. Aljazirahnews reports that Nigeria ranks among the world largest importers of rice, and it feeds a larger part of its population with the imported varieties. The Thailand parboiled rice breed often exported to Nigeria is a long-grain rice which has the capability to double its original size irrespective of the quantity of water added. This has made it a first choice amongst Nigerian housewives who view it as cost saving in the economic downturn. A former Nigerian Ambassador to Thailand, Ambassador Chudi Okafor in an interview with Aljazirahnews said Thailand is one of the largest rice producing countries that have made headway in agriculture through the adoption of Genetically Modified seedlings. According to him the rice exporting nation often exported packaged parboiled rice to improve the shelf life of the agricultural produce. Aljazirahnews learnt further that although, not a stable food for the Thai people, this parboiled rice has been actively produced in Thailand for export to other countries (including Nigeria) all over the world. The Ambassador said: “One thing I said is why we need to go back to the drawing board is that we were relying on these seeds that we had since independence that’s why we need to go back to the seedlings themselves that’s why Thailand has succeeded in what they are doing. “So if we say Thailand is number one in rice production, how did they manage? They have over 12 varieties of rice and what they actually send to us here, they don’t eat themselves. He adds that “Rice is like festival for them and they have varieties of rice. From rice they have cosmetics, cornflakes. They have all sort of things that you can’t believe, medicals and these are marketed globally now. Why? because of research and development, cross breeding. They don’t just say because of these rice is in different colours- white colour, brown colour etc- the ones they eat, that they won’t give to us. We remain the largest importer of rice in the world.” He called for an intensive research and development in the agriculture sector, especially in rice to meet local rice demands. He cited instances of plants grown without soils in the Asian countries, attributing it to research and innovations. “We have so much seeds in every state in every local government. Since we grew up, no effort has been put in place so we need to embrace these seedlings and get it right from the beginning. “If you say Genetically Modified food or crop and so on, okay take Thailand for instance, when I asked further on their agriculture, they told me about cabbage. See their cabbage and other vegetables are grown without soil. “So tell me, how do you think we can feed over 20 million tourists in a year with growing cabbage on the soil, they are just on top of something like pond water. Ponds that are in an enclosure. We have a lot to learn but for me that’s why I am talking about semi mechanised farming. “You don’t go into trying to solve a problem and you create another one. You have a lot of graduates walking about without jobs so don’t go into full mechanisation otherwise you defeat the purpose because it means that only few people can master this thing and people will still be walking the street. He noted that the nation had a lot to learn from other industrialised nations to move ahead economically. “So at this stage, we will be talking of semi mechanised. This is knowledge economy age. We are now in the ICT age, in fact Asia has moved beyond Thailand and Malaysia. They are not talking of patent, they are not talking of copyright but the stage we are now if we want Africa to be the next focus of growth, which we nearly got right few years, we need to go further. So that’s why we need to focus into that aspect. We need to focus on the right thing so that we must conquer food insecurity. It is not a joke.” http://aljazirahnews.com/index.php/2016/10/28/thailand-rice-ignored-home-consumed-nigeria/

The real reasons why the former Plateau state governor, Senator Joshua Chibi Dariye recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress, (APC), was to avoid jail term as a result of graft proceedings against him by the government. Close sources to the ex-governor in Abuja, said that the Senator representing Plateau Central at the Senate has been put under intense pressure by top echelons of the ruling APC to defect his party of over seventeen years and get a ‘waiver’ and reprieve from the numerous cases against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC). Aljazirahnews reports that Senator Dariye is facing trial over alleged misappropriation of over N12 billion state funds while he was the chief executive of Plateau state between 1999 and 2007. His case has refused to go off the public space since his debatable let-off under the ex President Olusegun Obasanjo administration when he escaped impeachment for same allegations. Aljazirahnews learnt that the leadership of the ruling APC having realized that the incumbent governor, Simon Bako Lalong was Dariye’s political stooge as speaker for the same eight years Dariye served as governor, decided to explore the political strategy to court him back to Lalong’s side to beef up the hold of the party in the state. It was not clear as at press time to ascertain which of the APC faction (El-Rufai or Tinubu) led the political deal that eventual brought Dariye on board but an highly placed source confirmed that the EFCC trial was used as bait. Another strong reason that pushed Dariye off his former party was his age long rivalry with the ex-sports minister, Hon. Damishi Sango. The latter was elected state chairman of the PDP in Plateau state against the advice of Dariye. Close sources to the duo told Aljazirahnews that Senator Dariye held a strong belief that his political career might been sealed under Sango, who connived with ex president Obasanjo to disgrace him out of office until the court reversed the impeachment. Then, come the much powerful ‘Mantu power cabal’ led by another political enemy, ex Deputy Senate President, Senator Ibrahim Mantu. Mantu it was learnt is bent to get a fellow kinsman to replace Dariye at the 2019 senate. With this political permutation widely endorsed by Sango and other key stakeholders, Dariye’s effort to get back into the senate under PDP remains a dream hence the last resort to defect to APC. A former aide to the late strong man of the middle belt politics, Chief Solomon Daushep Lar, [name withheld] told Aljazirahnews that Dariye’s quest to wear the large shoes of Chief Lar, could have motivated him to join the likes of Senator George Akume, Senator Barnabas Gemade and Governor Lalong in order to emerge as the leader of the zone. However, this line of thought was dashed when reports credited to the heir apparent to the Lar dynasty, Hon. Barr. Beni Lar, dismissed the Lar family’s support for Dariye. Beni Lar, currently representing Langtang North and South at the House of Representatives, is herself eyeing the governorship of Plateau under a PDP arrangement. She was quoted to have said her father’s shoes were ‘too large for a defecting Dariye under APC as the late emancipator was the founding chairman of the PDP.’ Aljazirahnews also gathered from a reliable source that “the defection of Dariye may have brought her candidature closer to ex governor David Jonah Jang.” For Dariye, “the two need to work together for a better PDP and Plateau in general”, the source added. http://aljazirahnews.com/index.php/2016/10/26/revealed-real-reasons-dariye-defected-apc/

There are indications that the cold war between the first couple in Nigeria is far from over as President Muhammadu Buhari has initiated moves to curtail some of the influences of the first lady in an attempt to bring her back under control. Sources told Aljazirahnews that the President is yet to be appeased by the incalculable political capital he has lost due to the recent confrontation between him and his wife of many years. Aisha Buhari in a recent interview granted BBC has criticised her husband’s judgement in political appointments adding that she would not support his reelection bid in 2019. Buhari has not indicated his willingness to run for second term in office yet. Buhari, who was on a trip to Germany as at the time the first lady made the comments replied tersely via the media that his wife’s place was ‘in the kitchen, living room and the other room’ and not in political matters, a comment that generated mixed reaction across the globe. After Buhari’s return, the first lady had a few days afterwards jetted out of the country for a women empowerment program in Brussels, a trip many opined indicated the first lady wanted to stamp her independence and also that the rift between the duo had deepened. Aljazirahnews learnt from Presidential sources that she had been banned from some selected national assignments by the president in recent weeks. The medium could not obtain official comments from Presidential spokespersons as at press time. A source privy to the development confided in the reporter that Aisha has been battling with domestic challenges and restriction from many official engagements by the president, which she considered as an affront to the office of the First Lady. Buhari was said to have insisted she restricted her input in political matters, a development she was not comfortable with. Investigations further revealed that the First Lady was ‘given stern warning a few months after the inauguration of Federal Executive Council (FEC) late last year by President Buhari,’ to stay out of politics. “She was told not to see her office as a means of amassing wealth,” the source said. This directive, according to a State House source, did not go down well with the First Lady, who was said to be planning to utilize the exalted position to boost her Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and private businesses, especially two companies she owns in Dubai and Nigeria respectively. It was also learnt that, apart from giving her stern warning to restrict her engagements, she was also banned by the president from receiving ‘too much crowd’ at Aso Villa, particularly the governors and ministers, majority of whom, President Buhari believed would have corrupt influence over her. Read Mahmud Jega on Aisha/PMB row. The source also said that only two governors from the core North were allowed to have assess to the First Lady and pay her visits regularly, even without official notice, unless she was out of Abuja or Nigeria. Investigations further showed that with her recent outburst, when President Buhari was out of the country for official assignment in Germany, the President was advised by some top advisers to evict her from the Villa to ‘serve as lesson and deterrent.” Aljazirahnews gathered that the President while mulling further actions to take to clip his wife’s growing influence has however been advised by other aides to tread softly so as not to be seen as antagonistic to women as a whole. The president has however directed the officials of the Department of State Services (DSS), as well the conventional and mobile policemen and other sister agencies within the Villa not to allow any frivolous solidarity visit to the First Lady. “You know these corrupt elements “the politicians”, especially the governors and ministers might use Her Excellency, the First Lady to get what they want, and being a woman, she might not know the motive behind such visit(s), until it leads either the president or herself into trouble. So, that is why the president is taking the action and currently has instructed his aides not to allow her to relate too much with politicians because she is not a politician,” the source said. It was gathered also that family members and top political aides to the duo are however making frantic moves to ensure that peace returns to the first family so that domestic matters would not continue to bring the family and ruling party’s (All Progressive Congress, APC) image into ridicule. http://aljazirahnews.com/index.php/2016/10/20/cold-war-aso-villa-pmb-tightens-noose-aisha-buharis-powers/

Economic recession has hit Dangote Group as it has reportedly sacked 48 of its workers. Inside sources claim 36 expatriates and 12 local staff serving in Dangote Cement Plc and Dangote Industries Limited were relieved of their jobs last week Thursday October 20th. A letter signed by chairman of the group, Aliko Dangote, states that the company is currently embarking on restructuring due to high cost of production in both factories. The letter states that this year has been the most difficult for the group. Part of the letter reads “This year has been a very challenging one for us as a business. The unavailability of foreign exchange, coupled with an unprecendented hike in exchange rate has resulted in increased costs across the organisation. This called for a proper review and adjustment of our costs across board to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the deployment of our factors of production in a bid to eliminate redundancy that we know exist, which resulted in some tough decisions which means losing staff, including some of our colleagues. On Friday, October 14, 2016, we began the process of staff cutbacks as it is imperative to review our human capital deployment for required cutbacks that would ensure efficiency and eliminate redundancies in the allocation of human resources. This first phase of this exercise involved the cutback of 36 expatriate staff across the Dangote Cement Plc and Dangote Industries Limited and 12 local staff in Dangote Industries Limited.” http://aljazirahnews.com/index.php/2016/10/24/recession-hits-dangote-group-reportedly-sacks-48-workers/
