naanxie:

You haven't mentioned how you unwind. Kinda lacking in that regard and seeking to learn

zendi:
But, may people in the know kindly explain, regarding this oando hedging thing. Does it mean some customers are committed to lift their products at $65 for the hedge period regardless of how low crude oil digs?
Pls note I'm not an oando fanatic. I have only recently taken some token position, just to see how things pan out around this August.

That's the risk involved in hedging. You gotta stick to the contract. Before the hedge really took effect as against the downward price movement of crude, they were selling at a loss when compared to the price as at Q1-Q2:2014, but it's paying off now.

I see the price getting to at least 15 within the next 3 weeks.

Caveat Emptor

Would you have received a different amount if you had rather sold the TBill at the secondary market?. I thought that there is secondary market for TBills in Nigeria but it appears the banks are treating it like fixed deposit

There is a 'secondary market' for TBills, just as there is for Bonds. But the hassle your banker would go to get them there is another thing, so they prefer treating it like Fixed deposit.

naanxie:
Oh cool!

No, not that. Although someone calls me that. Hmm, who are you exactly?? :-/

My name is clearly outlined on my moniker. Don't be scared though.

naanxie:
Well I kinda have zero interest in it now. Over time, I've discovered myself, hence the transition. Besides it's more viable, coupled with my experience in it.

I am soo not anti social neither am I exactly sociable. I know how to unwind

I think I might know you.?.

Not antisocial? what happened to your Twitter handle.. and please do tell how you unwind. might learn one or more.
