TheGuyFromHR: And that's how it should be. I'm still waiting to see if someone with experience/knowledge in fraud prevention can come and give us insight. My sister works in the Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU) of a FinTech in Europe. She said and I quote - once you see any transaction that could be flagged as fraudulent, there is no limit of what publicly available information (LinkedIn, FB, Twitter, Instagram etc.) to check so as to mitigate the risk as long as the info is used solely for that purpose and nothing else. Once a transaction failed security check, they go all out. The ideal thing is to pause that payment channel till it is certified ok by the FPU and before it is certified, DD must me carried out. The OP can file a case which is well within his/her rights, but a FPU officer will squash it within 5 mins. There is no discrimination in Fraud Prevention (her words). |

tolajay: Hello davide470,
Do you have an idea if the Binance currency switch from Naira to Pounds is till valid?
Considering the options of transferring some of Naira assets on Binance directly to a UK account without the aboki pathway.
Thanks It is still valid. NGN - USDT - GBP. Use a Crypto friendly bank (challenger banks mostly) |

EffuaF: I am applying for the long stay visa, more than one year. How many days/months of proof of accommodation do I need?
Will making a reservation with booking.com for 2 weeks suffice? The long stay visa (which is also your residence permit) you will receive will be valid for 12 months and upon renewal, a 4-year residence card will be given to you. On accommodation, it is expedient you secure an accommodation (your employers can help or provide guidance on that). If you decide to go through with the 2-weeks reservation, add a cover letter stating you intend to view and close on an apartment within that timeframe. |

Maximuspfc: I wouldn't stay there for more than three months as I have academics in Nigeria immediately after, so I thought the Schengen visa would be appropriate Okay, then go for a short stay visa. You don't need to specify the duration you want as the internship agreement you will submit would guide them. |

Maximuspfc: Good day all I am currently a student and got an internship offer from a company, hence would need a Schengen business visa for the three month stay. I would be a first time traveller, so I would like to ask about chances of getting a visa and any possible advice you can help me with?
Thank you very much Why are you seeking a Business Visa for an internship? As long as you have an executed internship agreement, you can apply for a long stay visa. |

Abiodunnn: Hello people,
Please I will be coming in to London this January on a student visa with my child and spouse. Though my husband isn’t staying permanently at the moment. My main concern now is accommodation, I’m lost as to which area to look at. I learnt that my area determines the kind of school my child goes to and all. Also, I’m pregnant which means it has to be close to a hospital too. I’m looking for a modest 1-bedroom flat, I’ve been checking Zoopla, SpareRoom, Rightmove etc. my school is in Central London.
I need pointers please You could narrow your search to North London (Cricklewood, Finchley, Willesden Green etc.) It is not far from Central London and there are good schools around for your kids. |

abduloau: Thank you so much davide470 for your kind reply. Yes, I am applying for the Passeport Talent Researcher Visa. Do you have any idea about the cost of this travel insurance? A police report was not stated on the website too. I just wanted to be sure it is not required. Any other documents needed apart from those listed so much? Looking for your to your kind reply. Thanks. Congratulations. - Not sure about the travel insurance cost but it should not be more than N80k. - Police report is not needed for your application but you can do it just incase you need it in France. - The hosting agreement is the main document and it should be fully executed. - Flight reservation should also be submitted. Since you stay far away from VFS Lagos, take every document that you can find, they will be the one to tell you which documents are needed. |

abduloau: Hello everyone, Please I need your inputs in this. I want to apply for a French working visa. I want to be sure of the documents I need before going to the VFS centre in Lagos as I live far away from Lagos. I have checked France visa page and below are the required documents according to the website: -A travel document, issued less than 10 years ago, containing at least two blank pages, with a period of validity at least 3 months longer than the date on which you intend to leave the Schengen Area or, in the case of a long stay, at least three months longer than the expiry date of the visa requested. Be sure to transmit (scan) ALL PAGES of your travel document containing visas, entry and exit stamps or any other inscription. -ID photograph. -Agreement to host a researcher or teacher-researcher issued by an accredited organization. -Diploma of a Master’s degree or higher.
Based on your experience guys, do I need additional documents not listed above? Do I need a travel insurance? Flight and hotel reservation? Police report? etc I look forward to reading your inputs. Thanks Are you applying for a Passeport Talent Researcher? - You will need a travel insurance till you register for Ameli (French healthcare). 3 months duration should be okay. - Hotel/Hostel/Rental agreement is needed or your host can provide an Attestation d'hébergement (Accommodation Certificate) - If you feel the need to attach a police report, go ahead. |

rockyryuks: Please can anyone recommend hotel to stay in Paris that will be close to city centre and also cdg airport. I booked ibis cdg before but i changed my itinerary as i will be spending two weeks in paris now but ibis is saying i cnt extend my dates. I have checked other hotels but its hard to even know which to choose. I would appreciate. I am tired already It would be advisable to stay in a hotel along the RER B Train network so you can easily take the train to CDG Airport from the nearest RER B station. So look for hotels around Chatelet Les-Halles, Denfert-Rochereau, Palais-Royal, Gare du Nord etc. |

sunnychoice: Hello Everyone, I'm new here and really need help/advise.
My wife is a PhD student in France and want me to come stay in France with her while she continue her study. My concern is as a PhD student spouse in France can I work legally? Because I have a business here in Nigeria and I don't want to leave it to go and work illegally in another mans land.
Also if I'm to join my wife in France for the remaining duration of her study what type of Visa will I apply for?
if you have experience or advice that will be helpful kindly respond.
Thank you. You will be applying for a Family Reunion visa but it is your wife that will initiate the process at her Local Prefecture in France and it is when they give the go-ahead, you can then apply for the visa in Naija. As a dependant, you have the right to work. There are some stringent requirements though - she must have been in France for 18 months, earning at least 1,200€ and her apartment size should not be less than 28m 2The process is stressful & could be annoying but it will be best for her to consult a local immigration lawyer to help with the plenty French documents and application forms. |

Keet18: Should I reapply with same documents I used in previous application and add my COVID vaccine card Covid vaccine card is inconsequential. They said "Justify your trip" - prove beyond reasonable doubt why you want to go for the training. - Provide the invitation letter from the engineering firm clearing stating the type and manner of training that will be done, hours per day, learning points and costs if applicable (in English & French) - Tell the firm to provide their SIREN, SIRET and/or APE number which you should submit with your application - State where you will be staying throughout the training and if possible, show evidence of booking - Submit your CAC docs, and explain how your company will benefit from the training and project/work you have done that relates to the training - Ties to Nigeria : add your marriage certificate and pictures of your family - If you have a concise version of your business plan, add it. Like they said, Justify! or you could just apply for a normal visit visa (tourist) |
