I have noticed a new trend that is going on now. I have asked a few colleagues and friends and they are experiencing the same thing.

Please who else has experienced theft of their street or neighbourhood transformer armoured cables.

This has thrown my entire neighbourhood in Enugu in darkness and the EEDC guys asked that we station security guards on the transformer to safeguard the theft of the remaining cables...

Please what should one do in this instance to stop this menace...

The few colleagues that I asked said in their neighbourhood it took them over a month to get power back.

Mind you, the transformer in question is fenced round and has a gate...
