Hi house, please what is the AIP process for? what are the "ToDo's" once an AIP is gotten? Thanks for helping ![]() |
1. Yes, an IELTS result is valid for about 2 years for CIC. 2. This depends on the course you're studying, as the competitiveness differs from course to course for both UG and PG, but if you already have a UG, I think a PG will be better in VO's eyes for "Career progression", hence gives you a better chance. 3. The NSE route might be best for you, read this thread, the last 50 pages pretty much sums everything up with repetition, also start building up your bank account, so the money accumulates over a few months before getting you "MyBankStatement" Doc. So you'd basically put all the normal document along side the NSE requirements. Other ppl here would have better tips to share though, so keep asking. Success in your application. Bawsse: |
I guess she was lucky for that 6k, did mine for 12k in Lagos ..lol Rootiab: |

An update/tracking diary on my application. Applied Nov. 3rd Biometrics done: Nov. 13th Did upfront Medical: Nov. 19th Medicals updated as Passed: Nov. 27th Biometrics updated to completed: Nov. 30th. So it currently says my Background check is being processed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A question though, do we get to get an email when the background check is updated and eligibility review starts? Or are they done side by side and get completed together? **Ans. for me: Never got a mail, it just changed on the portal ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally, I decided to send webforms and mails to Beijing & Nairobi asking that my application be processed via NSE route, then I attached the MyBankStatement and IELTS Academic documents. (Note: I did not get the NSE invite mail, so I just basically tried for trying sake since I have the docs) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update** Dec 3rd, 9pm ish, Logged into CIC to see that the eligibility review has started. It was not there earlier today as at 5pm and I also did not get any mail notification for this update. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update*** Dec 7th, sent a webform (requesting NSE & attaching extra supporting documents) to Nairobi and sent same content in mails to Nairobi, Lagos and Beijing. Dec 8th, got something that looks like a ghost update on the portal. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update****Day 14 of Eligibility review. Dec 16th, sent 5 mails (Nairobi, Pretoria, Lagos...etc) & 1 webform to London containing my NSE documents. At this point almost all November applicants have gotten the NSE request but I am yet to get, I take it that it likely means they have seen that I have the requested documents so no need to ask for it. |
Hi, I will strongly advice you do your medicals at Qlife, it's currently cheaper and organized (from my experience & others). For Police report, you can get this done at Alagbon. The price was mentioned in a past thread, I can give you a contact there to call, he was quite helpful for mine. West0099: |
You should choose "Send to embassy", typically, it should even show "Canadian Embassy" as an option. While either way works, I will advice you do it on your laptop instead of your phone app, because at the end you will need to download the ticket document, downloading and finding files say on an iPhone can be difficult. recxa: |
Yes, you are meant to submit that. Using the ticket number & Passcode IRCC would log on at their end and view the full statement. That's basically how the MyBankStatement process works. It cuts out the delay involved in manually reaching out to your bank to verify the bank statement document you would have sent normally. recxa: |
NO oh..I dey, trying to log into CIC,not working yet. Please is this being experienced by everyone? even after clearing browser cache as adviced on their Twitter handle recxa: |

Hi Guys, please anyone here that submitted SP application this November? Also please how long does it take for the biometrics submission to reflect on the application portal? Thank you ![]() |
Hi guys Newbie here, thanks a lot to everyone contributing, reading here as been quite helpful. I submitted on the 6th November, got biometrics request on the 11th, did it @VFS Lagos on 13th. Now my question is there a timeline for how long the biometrics will reflect on my portal (if there's anything like that). I just want to know what to expect/do next. Right now, I don't even know what my status is exactly. Thanks a lot in advance for helping.
