The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has won in seven of the 10 local government areas in Ondo State presidential election results released so far.

Eight local governments are yet to be announced.

The tally gives the PDP 118,358 votes, while the APC has 99,712votes.

The local governments won by the PDP are Akure North, Ifedore, Idanre, Ile Oluji/Okeigbo, Irele, Ondo East and Ose local governments.

Akoko North East, Akoko North West and Akoko South East, the areas under the influence of Ajayi Booffice, the incumbent senator representing Ondo North, fell to the APC.

The candidate with the most votes is declared the winner in the first round, as long as he gains at least 25% of the votes in two-thirds of Nigeria's 36 states.

If total number of votes cast in 36 states is say 25million and Buhari gets 13million and Atiku gets 12m, what matters is that Buhari must have scored at least 25% in 24 states for him to get the 13million. He doesn't need any stupid 40% in SE.

Infact Buhari can score zero votes in Ábíá, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi and Enugu, then still be declared winner. All he needs is
Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Plateau, Gombe, Yobe, Jigawa, Kebbi, Adamawa, katsina, Kaduna, Kano, kogi, Nasarawa, Niger, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Taraba, Zamfara and Kwara.

Dash Atiku the rest, Buhari would still be the winner, provided he scores the highest of total national votes cast in 36 states and wins the 24 states by ọver 25%
