In 2017, Lagos State Government released hundreds of routes where motorcycles and tricycles (aka Okada and Keke) are banned.

The list includes major highways, bridges, etc in Lagos state.

This decision was due to an outrage as a result of the menace of commercial motorcycles popularly referred to as “Okada’’ and their involvement in the number of traffic fatalities,

For instance in 2013, NAN investigations revealed that Lagos recorded 13,398 road accidents with deaths from motorcycle-related accidents accounting for 148.

Okada recorded 6,131 accidents in 15 months between 2013 and 2015.

Hundreds of users who survived the crashes were either maimed or left with permanent disabilities.

Some had been bedridden for several years or months at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi in Lagos, a facility for the treatment bone diseases and victims of automobile and motorcycles accidents.

According to a report by NAN, in 2013, there were 452 motorcycle accidents in the state involving 273 males and 179 females.

It also shows that in 2014, there were 291 motorcycle accidents that involved 168 males and 123 females.

Comparatively between 2013 and 2014, the rate of motorcycle accidents reduced by 35.6 per cent following a partial ban slammed on the operators by the Babatunde Fashola administration after signing into law the State Traffic Bill on Aug. 2, 2012.

All these informed Ambode’s decision to effect the ban on Okada activities on major highways, bridges and roads.

However, recently, there appears to be a return of Okada activities on major roads, highways and bridges in Lagos as can be seen in the photos below.

Or has the ban on Okada activities been lifted?

Believe it or not, this thread would shock a lot of people as i was shocked.

There are some cities that are very popular in some countries that we think they're the national capitals, whereas they're not.

Lets Start.

1. Dubai: Dubai is not a country as many people might believe. You hear people say "I'm going to Dubai'.
Dubai is a city in a country called UAE (United Arab Emirates) The capital of UAE is not Dubai, rather it is Abu Dhabi
Dubai is the largest city not a country or capital.

2. Johannesburg: Nigeria played South Africa last Saturday and i'm sure a lot of Nigerians would think Johannesburg is the capital.
Interestingly, South Africa has three capital cities, none of which are "Jo'Burg". Divided by branch of government, the capitals are: capital of the judiciary is Bloemfontein, capital of the administrative branch is Pretoria with Cape Town acting as the country's legislative capital.

3. Sydney: Since the Olympics in year 2000 (Sydney 2000) A lot of people think Sydney is the capital of Australia. It is not. Iconic though its harbor and opera house may be, it doesn't get star billing. Canberra, which is just a few years away from its centennial celebration, is actually capital of the land. It is not Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

4. Munich/Frankfurt: Many Nigerians would know Munich and Bayern Munich or 1860 Munich, likewise Frankfurt when JJ Okocha played in Germany. Well the Capital of Germany is Berlin.

5. Istanbul, Turkey: It may have served as capital to ancient Romans and Ottomans, but that designation is long gone for Istanbul. Ankara, a city that is perhaps most famous for its angora-producing goats, is the capital. Ankara is not the same as Aso Ebi ooo grin

Many people might think the capital is 'Galatasaray' or Fenerbahçe

6. Switzerland: This country serves as HQ for many world Organizations like the UN, UNESCO etc. The capital is not Geneva, Neither this nor Zurich serve as this precise country's capital. The picturesque, tranquil, UNESCO-recognized town of Bern holds this honor. Roger Federer is from Basle, but not the capital.

7. Brazil: How many of you think the capital of Brazil is Rio? It's fun, exciting and has something for everyone, but that still doesn't make it Brazil's capital. While the city famous for the carnival used to be the capital, Brasilia now takes that position, not even São Paulo

8. Casablanca: Football fans are familiar with Raja Casablanca and tourists are familiar with Fez or Marrakesh. Not only is Casablanca not the capital of Morocco, neither are the other two top contenders, Fez or Marrakesh. Peaceful and culture-rich Rabat serves as this North African country's capital.

9. USA: In Trump's America, the Capital is not Las Vegas, California, Chicago, Florida or New York City. It is Washington DC

10. Spain: Many may think it is Barcelona, since Lionel Messi plays there. Capital is actually Madrid.

11. Côte d'Ivoire: In drogba's country, the capital is not Abidjan. It is Yamoussoukro

12. Italy: Capital is Rome not Milan or Juventus lol

13. Nigeria: Capital is Abuja not Lagos or Aba grin

14. State of Palestine: Capital is actually East Jerusalem and not Gaza City

I was never far from my wife up till the day of delivery.

She gave birth on 28th, Afternoon of 27th of the month she gave birth, I was still helping out.

Class 1: Those who've been to Japan before via NIGERIA and returned home
Class 2: Those resident in Japan.

Calm down so you can be helped on how to comport yourself ahead of your visit to Maitama, in Abuja to submit your application.

Ask a very clear question. If you checked the first page, there's an answer there.

I used the free reservation made via SAA to apply for the Visa and after the grant, I traveled with another airline.

Making reservation is free on airline's website just as booking a hotel via Hotels.com or Booking.com

Or you contact a traveling agent. I did mine free.

Cars are not necessary in Sydney if you enjoy public transport. They have train station in all suburbs and its usually within walking distance of wherever you live.

Honestly, that's a very well planned state NSW. Not even Canberra the capital or Perth can boast of such efficient transportation system that covers almost every part. Moving from Kent to Wentworthville was one of my greatest memories last year.

Do you have copy of the Visa issue?

Secondly, go and get an affidavit to that effect and also send a mail to the US embassy for a confirmation that you've been issued such visa before. Just try as much as you can to gather enough details about yourself.

For instance, last I was erroneously denied Australian Visa, 3 days later I reapplied and my Visa was issued. Funny thing is that AU doesn't stamp your passport at POE, as the Visa is Electronic. Should in case I misplace it, I'll just send them an email for confirmation.

But this is what I do, I attach some of my documents to my email addresses as drafts, so if I lose hard copies, I ha e them in soft copy

Business Name registration is one of the easiest things to do in Nigeria now
