I agreed with Moderator101 that idolatry was the forbidden fruit for some reasons. From my experience and knowledge about the Scriptures, it is not meant to be read like a simple story book. One needs the Holy Spirit to interpret it.

Rebellion was on several counts compared to idolatry (1 Samuel 15:23). From my spiritual journey and knowledge, Satan caused Adam and Eve to be initiated into witchcraft through rebellion and idolatry. He promised them enlightenment via the forbidden fruit (witchcraft).

In the Book of Proverbs Chapter 1, it was clearly stated that the Holy Scriptures employed riddles, enigma, and other literary devices. It isn't read plainly like a story book. It also requires divine interpretations because the men who wrote it had their inspiration from the Holy Spirit.

There are several other parts of the Bible which cause controversies that I have been able to study and interpret, eg the Book of Daniel, Thessalonians, and Revelations.

I am opened to sensible questions and debates.
