Politics › Re: Osinbajo: Pastor Adeboye Prayed For Me Before Helicopter Crash by davoo203: 2:00am On Feb 05, 2019 |
Amen, all glory to our ever faithful God. celebgistz: Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has narrated how the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, prayed for him a day before the Chopper he flew in crash-landed at Kabba, Kogi State.
This is even as he revealed that his aged mother would have lost two sons on the same day had those on board the crashed Chopper died.
The vice president made the revelations at a Thanksgiving Service held at the RCCG, City of Grace, Lokoja, Kogi State on Sunday.
In a statement issued by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity (Office of the Vice President), Laolu Akande, Osinbajo said Adeboye spoke to him after the Holy Ghost Service on Friday in Lagos.
According to the vice president, “On Friday, we went to (RCCG) camp; usually, I attend our Holy Ghost service. We came in very late from Akwa Ibom State. In fact, we arrived just in time for the grace at the end of the service.
“Thereafter, our Daddy in the Lord, (G.O) Pastor Adeboye, wanted to speak to me. He asked me how things were going on, the campaign activities and all that, and I explained everything; what I was doing on the campaign trail and all of that, some of the challenges.
“He then said, ‘I am going to pray for you.’ He said a prayer that turned out to be very interesting because usually, as you know, he doesn’t pray for long.
“He said ‘Lord God Almighty, I want you to protect this man,’ He said it three times and paused, then he continued. ‘You know how very dear he is to my heart. I want you to protect him.’ I found it very funny that he repeated it several times and then he prayed for favour and other things.
“So, when the crash happened, immediately it dawned on me that the Lord God had led him to say that very special prayer. And the Lord God Almighty delivered us in accordance with His word that, ‘even when 10,000 fall by our side, no harm whatsoever, will come near us.’ I just want to thank the Almighty God for His grace and mercy that has been so abundant in my life and in all of our lives who are here.”
Osinbajo who was joined by others on board the Chopper at the altar disclosed that his mother would have lost two sons on the same day had they died in the crash.
Those on board the crashed Chopper with him were Minister of State Labour, Stephen Ocheni, Femi Osinbajo, (VP’S elder brother), Special Adviser on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu and SSA Foreign Affairs/Protocol, Ambassador Abdullahi Gwary.
Others were Mr. Laolu Akande, (Spokesman); Dr Biodun Adelowo, Personal Physician; Mr. Doyin Adetuberu, Security Officer and Ayoola Oladunni, ADC.
Osinbajo said, “This is my elder brother, the same father, same mother. Our father passed on long ago, but our mother is alive. If both of us had lost our lives on the same day, that would have been an absolute tragedy, but God saved that from happening.
“We are truly grateful to the Almighty God and we bless the name of the Lord. And for all of you who are rejoicing with us today, your homes will be filled with rejoicing. You will not know tragedy; you will not know harm, all the days of your lives will be filled with rejoicing.”

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How To Identify A Scam Interview Invitation by davoo203: 3:05am On Aug 27, 2017 |
true talk LaurelP: I have seen so many Nairalanders complaining and lamenting their ordeal in the hands of fake scam companies who invite people for interview only to introduce them to fake drug marketing business. I'm doing this not only because these companies waste people's time, energy and T-fair going to such interviews, but also because most of these scammers extort money from hapless job seekers thereby making their suffering times two. Imagine a scammer extorting #10,500 from a graduate who have been unemployed for years, not to talk of the transport fare wasted going to such fruitless interviews or job chat as they usually call it. Some people even borrow money to pay these sheep in wolves clothing, who promise them heaven on earth. Some will tell you that you will make half a million within 1 month and all that. If you're not careful, you will take a loan that you will not be able to repay thus causing embarrassment and lack of rest of mind. An unemployed person should have only himself to worry about, not having debts also.
So I believe that if we are properly guided, we will not fall into the hands of these scammers. Having said that, there are ways by which one can identify a fake or scam interview invitation and there fore avoid such waste of time and money. The good thing is that most of their messages come in the same format, so you will know its fake!
1. The message does not bear a company name: most of these scammers won't include their names on the message you will receive. All you will see are the address, the time and date and a phone number. A genuine company will not hide its identity from a potential employee.
2. The message will say "interview/job briefing": whatever job briefing means I don't know! 3. You will see a code or reference: something like "HR=0056" or "REF=002". This is an indication of the code number of the person who invited you to the "job briefing". 4. It will contain a phone number: this is the number of your referer. Most genuine companies don't give phone numbers. 5. You will see HR Admin in the message instead of company name 6. If you call their number, they will be reluctant to give info on the company.
And pls, ignore those people sharing job flyers on the streets, and those ones they paste on walls. Those are scammers and some ritualists too. And also most of these so called agencies are avenues for duping unsuspecting job seekers. Pls shine your eyes well well. I will post the names of some of these fake companies/ agencies later.
Pls if you have any experiences inthe hands of these scammers kindly share it here so that others can learn and avoid them too. Thank you
Cheers! |

This should make the government take the issue of unemployment more seriously. When you see things like this, how do you encourage people to go to school. |

It's important to do the promo tasks to counter the media pressure. How fast the system recorver depends on our confidence in the system.
Opinion also needed on the freezing of bonuses acquired before December 13.
Vote was also done on whether bonuses should keep grow or not.
We also voted for mavro 30% to stop growth after 30days, 50days or continue to grow.
These votes are our opinions which is very important for Mavrodi to take decision.
Our community is going back to normal. We have to explain this to our downlines. The more positive we are, will determine how fast we'll recover. We must speak positive and confidently about our community to people around us.
We want to create a system where people help each other and a system that will be sustainable. We must be positive and be confident. Do the promo tasks.
We'll inform you about updates with time. Ignore the unconfirmed media news.
We shall overcome!
Thank you. Just tell people the truth, instead of encouraging them when you are killing them. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Does A Nigerian Pastor Truly Need A Private Jet? by davoo203: 1:55pm On Dec 18, 2016 |
Yes, they do. The sincere ones that want to go global. Owning a private jet isn't bad if you can afford it and can also afford to maintain it. Members who give tithe and offering do so willingly and some of these churches make provision for hospitality and welfare of the less privileged. If i have 3000 churches around the world and i need to visit them once in a while and also hold services in my local church, there's nothing wrong with having a private jet. Provided i can afford it. |
