Tabuse20: Haha...I know the fellow too. That is the best part of this forum, you interact with different minds with also very interesting perspective to things. All na learning - both good and bad. He is young, ambitious, very intelligent actually but highly conceited and lacking in deep self awareness. One love, people I know him too, and he's intelligent, with different personas which I understand why... Just hoping it's a time to reflect and do the right thing. |

Theconglomerate: What they are not saying is that if you are young, energetic, ambitious and clear cut business, you have no business with mutual funds, capital markets,bonds,whatever... Imagine if Dangote took that loan from his uncle and bought Tbills with it or even a chunk of it I think your guess is as good as mine. CBN was saying invest in the real economy and lowering rates for a reason.Maybe they hated the laziness they were breeding. If you are old and retiring and have piled enough liquid in your time then it's fine. If you are young, relatively broke and ambitious, goodluck with reaching the top at a gradual interest rate of 4% annually. Unless you are an employee trying to save money through that means, but if you think you are doing business as a young person with this route? Both of them av said this countless number of times, u may check the previous pages again, they even said this when tbills rate was at it peak of around 13 percent or so. |

TotoNaRubber: Guys sorry to derail but been thinking of securing a property/poperties in Lekki as a hedge against the Nigerian government doing vumm wonders with unending sale of debt instruments.
Here are my questions.; 1. Does anyone know how the location of ikota Lekki phase 1, is it far from Elegushi beach? 2. Is there any house agent here that can get a similar property below at a better price. 3. Is it a good idea to buy such properties? 4. Any unforseen risks of buying and owning such?..
The house and land ae sold by estate agents so the buyer pays, signs the documents and receives his house keys. Thanks Am also interested in this, but awaiting answers cos I av same questions in mind |

DKM123: Don't mind that one. Some of them here do not have a dime. They are just here to read comments and feel among. .
Treasury Bills have been stopped for a few weeks now. The last time I bought was late December. Tried buying again few weeks ago and was told it was no longer available for individuals who have less than 150million to invest. Access and First Bank gave same information. Stop saying things u don't know, last year november or so I moved 15m frm fbn into access, because they didn't want to do d tbills, they said no secondary market, I said no wahala... while someone in access did it d next day 8.6percent, don't believe some of these bank staff, they don't know certain info Even some don't know their bank have mutual funds platform sef |

Grupo: Then why did the customer care guy in stanbic tel me they were no longer selling Tbills to individuals.
Maybe, I would have to report him to their headquarters. Most of the staff are misinformed, I did same 4.6percent 336day at stanbic on thursday , and I didn't have to show up at d bank, so it depends |

thought as much, d house is not far frm the transmission company, so we average at least 17hours of power supply every day constantly, was surprised they didn't bring it throughout today.
Had to place a call this evening to a friend at Ikeja electric office nearby, he told me it will be restored in few hours, and truely they brought it around 9pm seriously |
