Get rid of dark lips with these natural remedies
There are many factors that can cause your lips to go dark. The main causes are the exposure to UV rays, allergies, excessive smoking or caffeine intake and hormonal imbalances. However, dark lips are one of the most common problems affecting people of all ages. While rosy lips are one of the most important elements of an individual’s charm which can add to one’s appeal, dark lips can tarnish personal image and can cause embarrassment. Nevertheless, there are many ways to lighten dark lips. Here are some simple natural remedies that can help to treat and lighten dark lips.

Honey is a natural ingredient to treat lips as it can soften and bring a pink glow to the lips. Apply honey on your lips and leave it overnight. Do not wash off.

Lemon is commonly used to treat dark patches and spots on the skin. But did you know you can also use lemon to naturally lighten dark lips? Apply and massage freshly squeezed lemon juice, and leave it overnight for best results.

Massage your lips with ice cubes. It will keep your lips nourished, moisturised and fresh.

Apply a mixture of castor oil and almond oil to massage your lips for a natural pink colour.

Scrub your lips at least once every week to remove dead cells and dry skin and also improving blood circulation. You can mix 5 to 6 drops of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of sugar and use this for exfoliation. Once you rinse off, apply a healing lip butter or your favourite lip moisturiser.

Use some petroleum jelly on a soft toothbrush to gently exfoliate your lips. This can be done daily for smoother lips.

Cucumber extracts are effective in healing dark lips. Daily application would help lighten the lip colour.

Application of Aloe Vera gel over lips helps in restoring the original colour.

Prepare a paste by mixing a ripe banana with some milk cream and honey. Apply the mixture daily over your lips.

Crush a few fresh rose petals and mix it with little amount of glycerine and some castor oil. Apply this mixture daily on your lips for better results.

Mix one tablespoon of curd with 2 to 3 drops of lemon juice and massage it on your lips. This remedy is beneficial for lightening your lip colour.

Mix a pinch of salt in a tablespoon of milk and rub the lips gently with this mixture. Wash off after 10 to 15 minutes. This remedy would help you to attain pink lips naturally.

Soak two almonds in water overnight, remove the skin in the morning and grind them. Mix it with a little bit of milk to form a paste and apply on your lips. Keep it for 15 minutes or till it dries. Then scrub it out to remove the dead skin and instantly lighten the lip colour.

Mix honey and sugar in equal quantity to prepare your lip scrub at home. Scrub it out gently to get rid of dry, chapped and dark lips. Use regularly for best results.

Ever since my school exams temporarily drew me away from you, I have hardly gone through an hour in a day without thinking about you. I know it is as difficult for you as it is for me to be separated for so long but don't worry, it'll soon be over, and well be together again..... I will soon be with you, my code. It may not be tonight or tomorrow, but I assure you, by wednesday evening or early on thursday morning, we will be together again.
My close friends in school has been doing me good, they have got my back during this exam period, and I have got theirs. The exams have been going smoothly and friendly via the help of the Almighty GOD and our unique potentials as students of the 21 century. NEPA and their wahala has not changed a bit since you left me, they've been bringing the light at 11:00pm and taking it back at 6:00am. My female friends, male friends, neighbours, the two exceptional goof ball wannabe's close to my room, and every other person have not also changed that much, except from my room mate who became more annoying than usual. I had no electricity in my room for at least 4 days, and I suspect she knew why. Anyway, I ignored her like we use to do.
When we meet again my lovely code, I hope you'll be with me till I get done with school stuffs and go back home, where we'll visit places like SSCN TECH, NIIT, other cool friend of ours, S*M web app, and finally spend this lovely christmas holiday together.

Have you ever been sooo hungry, that you start hearing hungry whispering into your ears saying "find something chop!, fiiiiind something chop!, Or na die you dey ooh... And you also hear it instructing you saying make sure say you go restaurant, buy fried rice and meat or fish (any one your money reach), plus cool bottle of coke, and chilled pure water to take wash everything down" ....... when you hear the voice giving these instruction, you feel the sound wave generated by the voice , in your stomach, making it grumble....

I came back from morning mass this morning quite late, and figured out I wont be able to eat any reasonable food before leaving for today's exams which I had by 8:00 am. So I drank tea and cassava, and left for exams. The first paper which lasted for two hours, went quite well, but the second paper was terrible..... I wrote well but mr. H stood close to me like one of my proctors. After the exams, I busted out of the exam hall, went to a bank, withdrew some of the green guys, and stormed one of the nearest eatery, ordering all that was directly proportional to level of hungry I felt.

On my way to the bank I was at first very angry, about my school, and their silly schedule, which prolonged my stay on campus, led to this brokeness, and in turn this troublesome hungry. I wished I was at home with my siblings enjoying the goodies and comfort of home.
However, a touching thought came into my mind, that made me thankful to GOD for my current situation in fact, I almost wept. I thought of the little children, I was clearly older than who felt this pain of hungry, that had no idea or picture of a family to give them the comfort required to feel happy and safe, I thought of my age mates on the streets, hawking to and fro, doing all sorts of dirty and shameful job only to get a square meal, I thought of the old who struggled all their life, and are still facing this dreadful plague called poverty and hungry. I lastly thought about the little children that begged for food from strangers who could possibly hurt them and also how these children fed from refuse bins just to escape the stinging pain of this same hungry I was feeling. And I was like "do I have any reason not to give thanks to GOD for my current situation?". After everything, I was completely bothered not because of the hungry I felt but the Cruelty that many people especially the little ones, are facing out there that I cannot change currently. However "I believe and know before I die, I'll change everything. I'll eliminate this plague called poverty, hungry and greed in the eyes of all men" ...... What I just said sounds quite big to achieve but I know there is also a big solution which I'll find one day, seize it, and use it to change everything in the right way. GOD is my strength, my all and everything. I believe by HIS Grace, favour and strength, I'll achieve what I just said.

To my friends out there, please be always thankful to GOD for what you already have, and do your best to give to the poor. Please don't let what you do not have, stop you from appreciating what you already have.
