The bloodiest battle of that war was the battle of Abagana,which sealed muritala Muhammad's fate in the war! After the battle, Gowon had no choice but to retire MM from the war.
Another one were the battles of Onitsha..infact Abagana was a direct sequelae of the Onitsha battles.
The worst mistake Ojukwu did was to put Viktor Pancho in charge of the invading force..Pancho paid back that trust by betraying the invading army to the Nigerians who then stopped them at Ore.that was why Ojukwu executed Pancho and his collaborators.If it was the Anioma officer, Nwawo as originally planned, Lagos would've been captured and Gowon forced to flee to Kaduna/Zaria as he was then advised.
Igbos know better than trust yolobas..that's why we agitate for secession kos good fences make good neighbors
@the both of you tell me, where the pride, love,peace and prosperity is in all this claims you both are trying to give to your tribes. Remember, when your saying bloody, you simply mean the blood of our dear brothers and sisters (humans), who were sacrificed for material resources, irrespective of where they are from. Am sure these brothers and sisters of ours who died, had dreams, had people they loved, had goals they wanted to achieve, wanted a peaceful and better future, and many more. But they were not allowed to see any of these because of the war and its destructive nature, that got to there dear live. I hope you both clearly know that this circle of hatred will be contracted by the your/our children.... Hatred that you have all the chance to stop...

The war... The war.... The war.....! I see clearly that the reason for... this hatred cannot be explained without mentioning the war. Before the leaders of the yorubas and igbos engaged their children into the war, for the sake of values that is worth nothing compared to the lives in their children, they knew clearly that it was going to involve things very special. Especially the lives and properties of their children. They even knew it was going to breed more hatred in the future, and cause even more loss, in the lives of their children in the future, yet they cared less. **in a way, you can say they were trying to protect more, for what they called their children**. But what's the essence of the purpose, when the more and your approach to protect, is extinguishing what you are protecting it for. Well how ever Before my eyes, its clear, the past is trying to use the present, to ruin the future...

bro your not telling me the reason, cause I have heard this same reason from the both side. And when I do hear this, I always ask one question, which is: "is that not what every human is craving to become? Since we all know that as perfection...."

Believe me, even my very good friends from these two tribes. Are very educated, loving and caring. But I don't understand why it just snaps, when it comes to themselves. There is got to be a reason why. This reason must be so meaningful and strong to make people of this admirable nature to other people, to change and act with this much hate when they see themselves... So I don't think its and issue of literacy or education. I also refuse to think its religion.
Culture / Why This Blood Line Hate Between The Igbo's And yorubas by davroca16(m): 9:14am On Jul 24, 2015
sad Am a curious young man from rivers state. Everyday I go through articles and forums like this, I clearly realize there is this hate among the igbos and yorubas. I can't tell particularly what the reason for this is. Even out of the e-world, I saw clearly that the normal lives lived by most people from this two tribes depicts this hate. And I honestly do not understand why. I tried asking my father and the best answer he gave to me was..."As a result of the multiple events of the past, Its a hate passed down from the past to the present, and maybe the future." Really I don't know just why this is happening. I have this conviction that says "not all your enemies will be my enemies, but your friends will always be my friend" and this applies to every human in this world, including my biological family. I careless who that person is, be it even my parents or so the called ancestors believed to continuously plunge their hate of the past into their innocent children of the present and maybe the future. all I want is love... I want to feel, know and teach it. That's why I say keep your hate away. I'll encounter enough of my own, which I'll completely erase. Before my eyes, there is zero people from a particular community, tribe, nation, continent, and race. All I see is humans scattered all over the planet.

Without going any further, as a curious young man, wanting to be informed. Please am asking anyone from this two tribes, to give me a meaningful reason

* why they decided to take this hate from the past.?

*Why they are nurturing it in the present.?

*And why they are trying to transfer this nurtured hate to our children of the future. So as to make them suffer this same burden.?

for the present to still cling on this hate, there has to be a meaningful reason to why they still have this hate. That's why I need an answer to my questions above.

Thank you... Brothers and sisters. For you answer. . sad please I want to know.

This is just for fun, so Without any much talks, let me go straight to the point....

My WORST CHANNELS

BBC
CNN
Aljezera **well the spelling sounds like that**
Don't even talk about rstv, ait, and their close relations
**big bro and dad owns the above channels. When you see them watching it, you just shut up your mouth, and walk away obediently hoping they'll loose interest and walk away.

Channel O and its silly companion
Trace TV
**meeen I hate this two channels... our second daughter and second son are just typical! When it comes to their love for these channels. Most times I feel like hacking and erasing those channels from dstv**

Nollywood and other movie channels **first daughter and momsi things... There is this anger that boils in my mind when I see the both of them at this channels. That's the glorious moment when I just pray for Nigerian electricity power company popularly known as NEPA to do their thing ** and I'll start smiling quietly when it happens.**

What's the name of these annoying football sports channel sef.... Am soo happy no one goes close to that place, because I would have just lost it there. Big bro only goes there during champions league finals. **i suppose he goes there so he wont miss out on the discussion about it between his friends..... if you see him when he is talking about it with his friends ehn, you'll think he's a soccer lover #‎lool‬ I like that guy.**

My best channels

Now without any much waste of time, let's go straight to me.....

Am this guy, around the corner or in the background hoping NEPA does this miracle that scatters all of them to their tents, and bring back the light when the coast is clear which will in turn give me the chance to be rightful heir of the remote. Meen that's the moment that makes me smile, I just scroll to my lovely channels

Discovery
NatGeoWild
National geographic channel
Cartoon network
Boomerang and their companions

**there is this tsunami that goes on in the mind of our second daughter when she comes back to our parlour, only to find me there smiling and enjoying myself...and she'll be like this boy is at it again** and she'll try to carry out these her intimidating moves that says " see after the next thirty minutes, were going straight to trace tv, we can't just sit down here, watching cartoons, animals and silly tech shows filled with geeks" and in my mind I'll be like "#shey you didn't see daddy and the others ignoring me, you just want to come and ruin this lovely moment". One cool miracle always happen at that moment when my dad or mom picks interest in one of these animal documentary shows which will in turn make her loose hope and she'll be like "this is hopeless, am out of here **after which she'll zoom off to one of her friends place**" and I'll be comfortable again watching till I get tired or nepa does their silly miracle. ** #loool

**these memories are really sweet in my hearth**

Let the fun begin...

Good write up, Even though it is scientifically proven.I would want to believe this is hand of GOD in His children lives particularly those who wait on Him.I have noticed that too in the lives of pastors who are really serving the Lord in spirit and in truth, infact I know of a man of God who looks 36 when is actually 48 .Another example is Apostle Johnson Sulaiman,some of these men have really waited on God by prayer and fasting and most of them died at old age e.g Pa Sadela nowonder the book of Isaiah 40vs 31 says But those who wait on Lord shall renew their strength; They mount up with wings like eagles,They shall run and not be weary They shall walk and not faint.
. I was really surprise when I say it. Seriously, this GOD we serve, loves us so much, that's he made serving him naturally bring out the best in us. smiley

Fasting triggers stem cell regeneration of damaged, old immune system

In the first evidence of a natural intervention triggering stem cell-based regeneration of an organ or system, a study in the June 5 issue of the Cell Stem Cellshows that cycles of prolonged fasting not only protect against immune system damage — a major side effect of chemotherapy — but also induce immune system regeneration, shifting stem cells from a dormant state to a state of self-renewal.
In both mice and a Phase 1 human clinical trial involving patients receiving chemotherapy, long periods of not eating significantly lowered white blood cell counts. In mice, fasting cycles then “flipped a regenerative switch,” changing the signaling pathways for hematopoietic stem cells, which are responsible for the generation of blood and immune systems, the research showed.
We could not predict that prolonged fasting would have such a remarkable effect in promoting stem cell-based regeneration of the hematopoietic system.
Valter Longo
The study has major implications for healthier aging, in which immune system decline contributes to increased susceptibility to disease as people age. By outlining how prolonged fasting cycles — periods of no food for two to four days at a time over the course of six months — kill older and damaged immune cells and generate new ones, the research also has implications for chemotherapy tolerance and for those with a wide range of immune system deficiencies, including autoimmunity disorders.
“We could not predict that prolonged fasting would have such a remarkable effect in promoting stem cell-based regeneration of the hematopoietic system,” said corresponding author Valter Longo, Edna M. Jones Professor of Gerontology and the Biological Sciences at the USC Davis School of Gerontology and director of the USC Longevity Institute. Longo has a joint appointment at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.
“When you starve, the system tries to save energy, and one of the things it can do to save energy is to recycle a lot of the immune cells that are not needed, especially those that may be damaged,” Longo said. “What we started noticing in both our human work and animal work is that the white blood cell count goes down with prolonged fasting. Then when you re-feed, the blood cells come back. So we started thinking, well, where does it come from?”
Fasting cycles
Prolonged fasting forces the body to use stores of glucose, fat and ketones, but it also breaks down a significant portion of white blood cells. Longo likens the effect to lightening a plane of excess cargo.
During each cycle of fasting, this depletion of white blood cells induces changes that trigger stem cell-based regeneration of new immune system cells. In particular, prolonged fasting reduced the enzyme PKA, an effect previously discovered by the Longo team to extend longevity in simple organisms and which has been linked in other research to the regulation of stem cell self-renewal and pluripotency — that is, the potential for one cell to develop into many different cell types. Prolonged fasting also lowered levels of IGF-1, a growth-factor hormone that Longo and others have linked to aging, tumor progression and cancer risk.
“PKA is the key gene that needs to shut down in order for these stem cells to switch into regenerative mode. It gives the OK for stem cells to go ahead and begin proliferating and rebuild the entire system,” explained Longo, noting the potential of clinical applications that mimic the effects of prolonged fasting to rejuvenate the immune system. “And the good news is that the body got rid of the parts of the system that might be damaged or old, the inefficient parts, during the fasting. Now, if you start with a system heavily damaged by chemotherapy or aging, fasting cycles can generate, literally, a new immune system.”
Prolonged fasting also protected against toxicity in a pilot clinical trial in which a small group of patients fasted for a 72-hour period prior to chemotherapy, extending Longo’s influential past research.
“While chemotherapy saves lives, it causes significant collateral damage to the immune system. The results of this study suggest that fasting may mitigate some of the harmful effects of chemotherapy,” said co-author Tanya Dorff, assistant professor of clinical medicine at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital. “More clinical studies are needed, and any such dietary intervention should be undertaken only under the guidance of a physician.”
“We are investigating the possibility that these effects are applicable to many different systems and organs, not just the immune system,” said Longo, whose lab is in the process of conducting further research on controlled dietary interventions and stem cell regeneration in both animal and clinical studies.

JESUS CHRIST is the only WAY out. Just be determined to change, show full remorse and ask for forgiveness from HIM each time you fall, after which you work tirelessly not to fall again. But if you still do fall, repeat the preceding process till your ability to stand in righteousness becomes a second nature. I'll recommend reading the HOLY BIBLE for instructions, and keeping your hearth free from nude/pornographic thoughts and most importantly, always pray for Our LORD JESUS CHRIST to help,guide and strengthen you with the HOLY Spirit. This journey/battle takes some time, however, you'll definitely stand at the end with a unique capability provided by the HOLY SPIRIT, to always prevail each time the temptations come back. Note: temptations will always come even after you have been fully equipped to overcome them however, the good news is you will always stand cause what you have been equipped with, is greater that any force of temptation ever. At that point, though it'll be slightly straining, but it will be easier and fun to overcome any temptation. smiley. If our LORD JESUS CHRIST could save me who's case was an extremely worst case scenario, how much more you. So just calm down and have faith in HIM, cause HE IS THE ONLY WAY out. smiley

Good day

Am running a particular java code and am having issues compiling as i get an erro such as could not find Class and main class. I have created the class and the main class using java Netbeans but i still cant compile it. Am so sure my code is correct but its compiling it thats giving me the issue

Below is the Assignment and code for the solution. Please can someone guide me on how to compile in other not to get the error message

The following class StatCalc defines a series of methods for computing statistics for a group of numbers.

/*

* An object of class StatCalc can be used to compute several simple statistics

* for a set of numbers. Numbers are entered into the dataset using

* the enter(double) method. Methods are provided to return the following

* statistics for the set of numbers that have been entered: The number

* of items, the sum of the items, the average, and the standard deviation

*/

public class StatCalc {

private int count; // Number of numbers that have been entered.

private double sum; // The sum of all the items that have been entered.

private double squareSum; // The sum of the squares of all the items.

/**

* Add a number to the dataset. The statistics will be computed for all

* the numbers that have been added to the dataset using this method.

*/

public void enter(double num) {

count++;

sum += num;

squareSum += num*num;

}

/**

* Return the number of items that have been entered into the dataset.

*/

public int getCount() {

return count;

}

/**

* Return the sum of all the numbers that have been entered.

*/

public double getSum() {

return sum;

}

/**

* Return the average of all the items that have been entered.

* The return value is Double.NaN if no numbers have been entered.

*/

public double getMean() {

return sum / count;

}

/**

* Return the standard deviation of all the items that have been entered.

* The return value is Double.NaN if no numbers have been entered.

*/

public double getStandardDeviation() {

double mean = getMean();

return Math.sqrt( squareSum/count - mean*mean );

}

} // end class StatCalc

Using the StatCalc class, write a program that calculates and then displays as output to the console, the following statistics against the set of numbers given below.

Statistics that must be calculated:

Count – Quantity of numbers in the data set.
Mean – The mean or average of the numbers in the data set.
Standard Deviation – The measure of variance (or dispersion) from the mean.
The set of numbers that you must use is as follows:

5 7 12 23 3 2 8 14 10 5 9 13

You must create a program with a main method that defines the StatCalc class and instantiates an instance of StatCalc called myStatCalc. Your program should instantiate the instance of the StatCalc using a statement similar to the following:

StatCalc myStatCalc;

myStatCalc = new StatCalc();

MY SOLUTION

Class File

return min;
}

public double getMax() {

Here is where I found the source code.

The TextIO.java class, is not a standard java class which you can just find in java SE API most times, when you get problems like this, urv got to surf the net, to see if your missing files can be found there.

Btw, that's a cool program you've got there.

Simple download the TextIO.java source file am attaching to this comment, and place it in the same package where your main class is. **for net bean, using you ide, copy and paste the source code in the folder where other source code are located or in the same package where other source file are located**

I just ran the code, and it worked.
