GeneralOjukwu:LOL @ emboldened. Thanks. But I truly was and still am an educator, it's no lie. I have my answers now, though. Thank you! |
bolubej:Thanks for the swift response. But I'm afraid you haven't answered my questions. The required recommendation letter is just one- that of the volunteering experience, and it's to be uploaded. From your responses to other posts, I have figured that recommendation letters from PPAs are valid. That's done. But then, you say my experience is valid, which? Professional or volunteering? My 'professional' experiences as an educator, though more than a year, were garnered during and pre-NYSC. One of the criteria says to have at least one year of professional experience. With the way that particular criterion is structured, I think we're just to mention it in the motivation essay, only the volunteering experience is to be verified (with a recommendation letter). Now, my question is if I should state my professional experience as an educator, would it be ok? cc GeneralOjukwu I also would like to share my motivation letter and CV with you, so as to help fine-tune them. |
bolubej:I was given a recommendation letter by my PPA before leaving (signed and stamped). Can the NYSC itself be considered as the required 1 year volunteering experience, with this recommendation letter flying with it? I also intensely engaged in HIV/AIDS sensitisation throughout my service year. I have a 'little' letter of recognition to show for it (signed but not stamped). Will this fly? Or will service and recommendation in a religious setting suffice and be considered? Please help critique all three. As for the 1 year professional experience, I only rounded up service 3months ago. However, will/can my past experiences as an educator be considered? PS. I already PM'd you, twice. I patiently await your response. Thank you. |
Morning, guys. The computer-delivered test and the paper-delivered test: Apart from the huge difference in score reporting time frame and, of course, the extra 5 one-minute-a-question questions on the latter, what other advantages does the computer-delivered have over the paper-delivered? What other things are imputed to the paper-delivered? In essence, I'd appreciate a comparison. Has anyone in the house ever given both? Is there any evidence that the questions on the paper-delivered are harder? Does picking the paper-delivered have any negative impact on admissions or anything for that matter? Answers to these questions couldn't possibly be found on the official site. It's why I've come to ask the ELDERS of this thread. Please, I need fresh insights into these. Thanks |
bolubej:Thanks for sharing. I was wondering... Can I PM you? |

piperson:There're two attachments, one is the CV. What's the other? Passport photograph? Mod'd... I now have the answer to my question. Thanks |

iCool:I haven't, I don't know about tosinoo, though. There was a feedback that I'd be notified; I haven't been. |
patovicy2k:Congratulations! This one everyone is thanking texrem.... You most certainly deserve the props. Well done! I'm pretty sure I'll be thanking him and the other in-house gurus soon myself. |
iCool:I did request for permission as well, even though I wasn't the one who asked for it. It's as the popular Yoruba saying goes... Ma ko'ja mi Olugbala.... PS. I hope it's OK that I did |

Time2Smile:Thank you. I made a 4.28/5.00 CGPA. I only mentioned the BTech cos folks would normally think it's BEd since it's Biology. As for the 'certain courses,' I know of Math (Statistics) and Physiology among others (University of Arizona), both of which I did. But they didn't mention the required foundational (first degree) courses. I just needed to know if Biology is one of such courses anywhere. Thank you, again. |
dawbbleOuEi:Please help comment on this, sirs, even if it's a passing comment. Edakun cc OluDare01 Time2Smile happyday |
scoreall:Wow! With funding? |
seeker88:Thanks a lot for this; indeed a prospective applicant has picked up something. Congratulations! |
I'm not sure how the OP came about this list, but Ogun is more industrialised than Lagos. But then, what's the point of any list about which state/region is more industrialised than another? The point really should be that every nook and cranny be industrialised. |
Hello, guys. Nice thread. I have a question... How feasible is an MS in Epidemiology, with a first degree in Biology (BTech)? |
