I am a Newbie to Programming also. A friend introduced me to the world of Programming sometimes last Year November to be precise.
I have watched countless numbers of videos coupled with ebooks over the last few months on html, css, JavaScript, Jquery and of course php and mysql.
But the most disappointing thing however is that I am currently struggling to build a particular Website that has to do with database which i intend to build from scratch and I still felt Like i dont know anything yet !
However, I Like the encouragement given by yorex 2011 and 4dor... Thats because its pretty applicable to me too!

Good day Nairalanders, I have been an active user on Nairaland for some years, but had to create a new moniker out of shame, but right now I am confused and desperate, have not been able to sleep. I am desperately in need of assistance and have no one to run too.
I was given admission into imo state college of nursing and midwifery in October and was to resume on the 23rd of that same month, but due to financial constraint I had to lie that my mother was seriously ill and no one was around to look after her, so I could not meet the deadline, the man who assisted me in gaining the pre admission process pleaded on my behalf, and I was told to resume with the second batch that would be resuming in the second week of December, I still could not meet up, in allah favour, I was given another grace period, thanks to the same man who assisted me in the pre admission process. This time I was told if I do not resume along with other students, I should forget the admission.
I just quit my job this December and all I could save using my salary was 70 thousand Naira out of the 152 thousand Naira as fees, I just returned from the my village in okene back to my base in Abuja, but my parents could not assist in anyway, seeing their present situation, they find it hard to even feed. I came back to Abuja last night and since then I have been confused to this present time.
Please help a poor ebira girl or I will lose this admission.
I promise to keep everyone who assists me updated with my admission process and will also write out their names with the amount if you want me to.
Please I have no one else to run too, that is why I ran here. Please assist me in any way possible and May almighty Allah reward you all as you come to my aid. Thank you.

I am a first class Student that recently graduated from one of the Nigeria's prestigious federal university from the department of Economics. Presently, I am awaiting my NYSC call up.
The thing is that I really need advice on how to secure a Foreign Scholarship especially either in UK or USA so as to enrol for my masters. It should be noted that I am not from a rich Family and I went through hell during my undergraduate days so as to come out with a good results. Therefore, I need a scholarship that wont put too much financial burden on my Family.

Abeg, Naija cant keep quiet on a sensitive issue Like this ooh and we will still be expecting to be called as a major force in Africa. Even countries like South Africa, Niger , Ethopia and other smaller countries make their position known.
With all due respect, I dont give a Bleep If Nigeria vote in favour or a against the resolution but am Happy we make our position known to the world as a country.

I kept on hearing it is possible to get either a complete or partial overseas scholarship but getting the actual process of Application and the necessary things that I need to do has being my greatest obstacle.

I agree with u juju.we nigerians are d problem of our country and not our so called corrupt and office looters leader.anytime there is corruption we base it on ethnic,tribal and religious line.The irony of d whole thing is dat we nigerians are greatly satisfied with this.if not,why cant we protest in large numbers and demand for change.everybody is praying to get there to get their own share of looting public funds.find out what happen in Ghana,Algeria etc they are now living better with the small resources they 've got because the citizens demand for change.
