It's sad to read this, coming from one who eulogised his principal only a short while ago. It also tells me that all politicians are the same who care about themselves only and the people are just pawns on their chessboard! |
I agree with you, Mr VP, but many of our leaders are simply evil. How do you explain leaders who use their position of authority to loot and embezzle? ![]() Yes a good leader requires some harshness but the way most of ours behave is otherwise. |
I think it's disgraceful on FIFA's part! Knowing that the USA has a travel ban on Somalians, it should either have assigned him to matches to take place in Mexico or Canada, otherwise made a special consideration for him or not contracted him at all. ![]() |
harsysky:Awareness.. the people are largely aware but helpless. R-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N .. I'll try to define it. A sudden conflict or schism of seismic proportions within a human population, by the 'masses' against their oppressors, where no one can foretell the beginning or how it may end. ( I hope my grammar no too big. )Look at the old Yugoslavia or Sudan. Scary right? |
Let's define politics in the Nigerian context.. it's the art of subverting the will of the people ultimately for personal gain while feigning to care, but without recourse to the consequences of such action on the polity! We can define the masses as the helpless who have little or no way out than to continue to be 'law abiding' while their common wealth is depleted continually by the politician. Nigeria is a geographical area where a parasitic relationship exists between the politician and the masses, and amongst the masses. Lastly, the Nigerian politician is he who is above the law. I hope this addresses your curiosity, @harsysky |
Politicians, Politics and politicking.. they speak from both sides of their mouths! |
His aspiration is already D.O.A .. "Dead on Arrival"! ![]() (.. except there are no women in Adamawa.) |
I guess their slogan would be "G.H for G.H"! .. Gbenga Hashim for Government House". ![]() |
Scam or not, Newcastle's subsequent performance in the premiership continues to be on the decline each time they sell off a star player! .. I wonder who is next, at the end of next season! ![]() |
essentialone:You guys dint even notice when the post was made.. 2024 when fuel was about N600 per litre! ![]() If you had to adjust for inflation, just imagine what the current rate would be. ![]() Is it really worth it after all? |
O no! .. na im wan pour "Sand sand" for Tinumbu gari so? ![]() |
(.. as difficult as this may sound), walk away! |
You forgot the brilliant 'Desmond' who played a redeemed politician who tried to correct the defective system that brought him up! .. I hear there's going to be a sequel! ![]() |
obojememe:Time they say heals yesterday. May your dreams come true in God's time! |
SixSeven:2 years ago, APC hailed Okowa's arrest by the EFCC. .. Now, he's about to be hailed as an APC senator. APC, I hail o! 🙌🏾 |
These experiences often happen in families but it seems you've turned the corner in your situation. Keep on with your grind and continue to man up. Life is teaching you a lesson. Don't put much trust in people but pray to have the grace to be the bigger man when the tables turn, as much as your heart can take. No two people are favoured the same by life, and family. Cheers! |
As things stand, it seems the opposition has been sent underground but I believe that the people of Rivers State are quietly hurting and unhappy with the goings on. It might present a rare opportunity for opposition parties to get their acts together and present an acceptable candidate to the people to upstage the ruling party. |
hisexcellency34:..the pic reminds me of that 'William Onyeabor' song.. "When the going is smooth and good"! ![]() |
.. seems Russia is being served with a dose of it's own medicine! |
The part that got me cracking was.. "somewhere, a ceiling fan laughs quietly"! ![]() |
I think she should be left alone or at most, the lady of the house could have a straight and honest conversation with her telling her subtly to desist from such without alerting her to the presence of video cameras in the house or letting her see the video. It will be hypocritical to met out any sanction. It is already bad enough to expose her privacy to the world. The house owner could even be sued for this act. ![]() |
Poor guy..man or kid! ![]() Now the cover up, counter cover up and further accusations will continue to no end. Las Las, e don cast!! |
Reminds me of the story of the prodigal child, however this one doesn't want to face the consequences of betrayal. Rather, he wants to keep on being entitled. ![]() |
When I read the story of the the 3rd caption, at first I thought the APM referred to was the Allied People's Movement! ![]() |
.. in other words, Desmond Elliott 'acted' the wrong "script", forgetting that governance wasn't Nollywood! ![]() |
Nigeria's tomorrow starts today! ![]() |
The economy has forced many single men into celibacy. |
He is more of an embodiment of Didier Drogba and Rasheed Yekini in one! ![]() |
When will our security agencies begin to act and treat people like humans? If they will conduct their 'sting' operations in such a manner ( .. in a government hospital during working hours) then what do we say about kidnappers who invade hospitals? It's so pathetic! I think the legal action is in order. |
The culprit is no different from a bandit! ![]() |
sorosoke101:That's what you call a "loose cannon".. a national disgrace! ![]() |
franchasng:Going back to when he said he was hungry, now things seem much clearer. He was probably hungry for power! |
