All na strategy abeg. In these hard times, sometimes, some people won't mind the "bushmeat" catching the hunter! ![]() |
QuinQQ:Wetin concern 'Mossad' and "Idi Amin" for this matter? ![]() .. abi na "Raid on Entebbe?" ![]() |
MD45:Makes us two! ![]() |
Just watch as the NPF's revenues, both local and national, legal and more notably illegal begin to soar! ![]() |
It would seem that the world's average is about 1 in 4, which is similar to Nigeria's figures! .. i just wonder if it has anything to do with cultural and moral values, or the level of poverty in our society. |
While the 'undistinguished' senator ranted, Mbappe chose to speak on the football field. Luckily for the Paraguayans it's a short flight back home to South America. ![]() |
The US team was "Trumped" 4-1! .. however, it's one of their most successful outing at a World Cup in recent times. |
Apcshit:.. yes, that's how it should be. |
.. just pray a herd of cattle won't stray unto the field during the finals in Abuja! ![]() |
I totally agree with UEFA. I think it may haunt him in the future! |
I think it would have been more important to show the picture of the truck since your investigation revealed it to be the culprit. ![]() |
I can't imagine FIFA shifting the goal post right in the middle of the contest! ![]() |
airsaylongcome:.. more like a "slip" or 'slide'! ![]() At this rate, I hope the world market price will not have made a rebound by the time local prices come down to reasonable levels. ![]() |
Many fuel dealers with petrol stations in Nigeria are dark hearted and I'm not surprised by their actions. This is just akin to periods of scarcity when they hoard fuel to sell at exorbitant prices. Since petrol has been readily available in the last 3 years or so, periods of sudden changes in world oil prices (either a rise or fall) have become their opportunities for sharp practices. ![]() |
I'm aware that the Guinness records used to give a cash reward along with the certificate. Is this still in practice? |
CodeTemplar:You won't see them anywhere near this story! ![]() .. on a lighter note, I hear the "strategic bomber" is being downgraded to a 'strike drone' in light of financial constraints Russia is experiencing. ![]() |
She has every right to insist on her terms, but also IMHO, I think this generation is in serious trouble as an aberration from the cultural norms we all grew up with. .. but who knows, perhaps a generation that thinks and acts differently may end up with a different result from the disaster we all find ourselves in presently! ![]() |
May the soul of the departed rest in peace! Amen. |
IreMide999:Well said. If care is not taken, all sorts of reptiles pass through the cracks (even alligators and anaconda) so to say. ![]() |
I get the feeling that some of these politicians get a "high" just from being declared a party's presidential candidate even when they know they stand no chance of winning at the elections. |
That's why it's better to have an Abdul Samad Rabiu as a role model than a Rick Ross! ![]() |
DoTheNeedful:Class and decorum? Those words do not exist in the Nigerian politicians' vocabulary. The last time I checked, the closest words were "clasp and decor"! ![]() |
MrBadNews:Well, there's a new strategy for football. If you’re not sure of fielding a good team as a coach, get the players with the stinkiest breath and match them in. You're sure to get a draw at the least! ![]() |
"Oweleke"! .. isn't that what Emuakpor Johnson from 'The Johnsons' used to say when there's trouble? ![]() |
tnerro1:Well said.. we might as well start preparing for AI players on the big stage! |
They've given the dog a bad name.. you know what comes next... ![]() |
Tough. |
It's sad to read this, coming from one who eulogised his principal only a short while ago. It also tells me that all politicians are the same who care about themselves only and the people are just pawns on their chessboard! |
I agree with you, Mr VP, but many of our leaders are simply evil. How do you explain leaders who use their position of authority to loot and embezzle? ![]() Yes a good leader requires some harshness but the way most of ours behave is otherwise. |
I think it's disgraceful on FIFA's part! Knowing that the USA has a travel ban on Somalians, it should either have assigned him to matches to take place in Mexico or Canada, otherwise made a special consideration for him or not contracted him at all. ![]() |
harsysky:Awareness.. the people are largely aware but helpless. R-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N .. I'll try to define it. A sudden conflict or schism of seismic proportions within a human population, by the 'masses' against their oppressors, where no one can foretell the beginning or how it may end. ( I hope my grammar no too big. )Look at the old Yugoslavia or Sudan. Scary right? |
Let's define politics in the Nigerian context.. it's the art of subverting the will of the people ultimately for personal gain while feigning to care, but without recourse to the consequences of such action on the polity! We can define the masses as the helpless who have little or no way out than to continue to be 'law abiding' while their common wealth is depleted continually by the politician. Nigeria is a geographical area where a parasitic relationship exists between the politician and the masses, and amongst the masses. Lastly, the Nigerian politician is he who is above the law. I hope this addresses your curiosity, @harsysky |
