Please how many weeks is Critical Skills Visa before it comes out?

4 weeks upwards, in RSA
16 weeks upwards, in NGA

Keeping in mind that durations depend on the specificities of individual submissions.

Hello House,
Please what are the requirements to travel to SA at the moment with a child and one of the parents?
Is consent letter from the other parent still required? I read it on SA home affairs website that consent letter is not required again if such documents have been submitted during the visa application, but I don't know what's required in Lagos before they can fly out.
Is Covid test still required? If yes, will the child test for Covid as well? and what timeline must the test be done before departure?

A response by anyone that has travelled recently or with similar situation will be highly appreciated.

A letter from the non-travelling parent consenting to the "non-South African citizen child" accompanying the travelling parent is no longer required on arriving/departing RSA, as per the current immigration regulations (gazetted). It's only required for SAC children.
However, you may be required to provide such on departing NGA, as per NGA's immigration regulations.
So, you should ideally have a copy of the child's birth certificate and a signed consent letter on your person.

Covid tests are required for every traveller older than 6 (You can check with your airline to confirm this)

Time between submitting sample and departure should not exceed 72 hours

Good day, guys. My study permit is expiring in October and I need to be in Nigeria by September-December at least, and I won't be done with my training here in SA by then due to the pandemic, so I need to come back. My friends that have put in a renewal application here in SA since March have still not gotten feedback, even though their visas expired in June already.

1. Please what are the documents I would need to reapply from Nigeria?
2. Do I need to get an SA police report for my reapplication in Nigeria?

Thank you.

SA PCC is required if the applicant from abroad has lived in SA for 12+ months or has been in possession of a SA visa valid for 12+ months

FBN MMF posted 16.64% for Friday. I’m not understanding. Could this, in anyway, be a consequence of their failed TB bid in the last auction?

I see..
So what rates have you gotten so far and which find is that?
Thank you

Someone analyzed the ETFs here: https://nairametrics.com/top-5-mutual-funds-in-nigeria-as-at-march-29-2018/

The earliest investors of the year have reaped returns much better than MMFs’.
In my opinion however, the last couple of months have not been the best to invest as the stock market hasn’t looked like it would emulate its 2017 performance.
The effect of the upcoming general elections and the current global oil price recovery on the stock market performance, going forward, are also not clear.
So, it would seem probably quite late and riskier to get in henceforth. But it might be impressive if someone could get their level of portfolio diversification right, and bet on the externalities of investing being favourable.

I think its time to move some part of funds to Equity Funds.

what do you think?

Equity traded funds have seemed like the Russian Roulette the whole of 2018 tho. Only a couple of investment managing firms - literally- have posted impressive year-to-date returns. Majority of them, and in fact the big players, have been posting returns far worse than money market funds have posted this year.
Other equity fund investors should come and share their 2018 experience with the forum tho.

That was not my initial Principal from the onset and the gain is its from the onset or what duration?

Gains = Total interest accrued since account opening

Inflow Net = Initial principal + paid interest

One wonders what kind of operation they’re running at FBNQuest. Relatively all equity traded mutual funds posted gains relative to the NSE market for this week. Yet FBNQuest have posted a huge loss for the week.
Heads up for the guys looking at mutual fund managers to do business with.

First Capital issa mess! Every fortnight, their website goes down for a full week. They publish daily profit rates only for days they feel like.
Such transparency and investor confidence assurance!
Couldn’t wait to jump ship after only a month.

Many thanks. However, I don't do investment relationship managers at all. I do a research and due diligence on any investment before throwing in my money.
I cannot allow anyone to feed fat on my funds.

Understood! I actually meant you enquire from them about the structure of funds their firm offers, not for investment advice.
Like who takes the advice of relationship managers that almost always scream bias?!!

many thanks sir, please again, is this equity mutual funds samething as the usual MMF?

They’re both mutual funds. However, MMF is a low-risk investment, while ETF is a high-risk investment.
There’s an in-betweener medium-risk investment that balances the two ends of the spectrum tho. You can enquire from your investment relationship manager, and make an informed decision.
