dammytosh: This is Transformation not change.
Do you have empirical evidence that this is a change ? This is Transformation as she cannot go back to her original and natural state. Change is like changing your hair-do or clothes. Transformation is going the wacko Jacko route. And we've all witnessed their eminent demise. |

chaloner: Lower niger we stand , dats y dey dnt wan us to go. Or to even see ss as our brothers. Very dangerous set of pple what the South south lacks thus far is tha intellectual prowess to begin and channel the resource control debate. Unfortunately, thugs such as Tompolo and Asari are viewed as the leaders the voice of the SS. We held a meeting with some of their so called leaders last year; these guys were clueless and corrupt. And that's why Oando and the likes will continue dominating and enriching themselves. It didn't help that GEJ, a southerner, failed to grasp the mantle and call for resource countrol. He squandered a rare opportunity. My only hope is that this region will not become completely desolate in 20yrs time When the resource no longer holds the same value. |

[quote author=IyfeNamikaze post=33428154]be not fooled, this tribal nonsense only exists mostly on social media. whatever happens here doesn't translate to the real world. experience. [/quote I sure do hope so. However, the last election and the sentiments expressed after the outcome proves otherwise. Big Business and politicians have no permanent enemies as long as they are making money and it'll take more than big business and or politicians to bridge the gap of mistrust birthed by the civil war. Most people will sleep with their foes if will make them money. What I am calling for is stronger cultural ties which will help ease the tribalism that often dictates who we vote for and where we reside. |

saintfizzo: When U look for the good in ur fellow man rather than looking for mistakes... life tastes a lot betta... it's fun crossing over to enjoy other cultures, tribalism wld only rob us the joy of sharing our diversity... thumbs up OP I quite agree. More people need to venture out into other parts of Nigeria and explore what we all have to offer. Some claim Yorubas are more accomodating and tolerant, while some claim igbos are more daring; thus the reason why they venture out of their comfort zone. The truth is somewhere in the middle. As a Yoruba boy who grew up in Lagos in the 80s and 90s , most of my friends were igbos because they were my immediate neighbors. So I never quite understood the mistrust expressed by the tribalist. As two of the dominant tribes, we'll have to learn to understand and appreciate what we all bring to the table. We are yet to appreciate the igbo/Yoruba combination, it is the engine that will propel the nation forward once we come to terms with our recent history. |

bro4u: Leave patriotism out of this, was it because of corruption they refused to sell weapons to us,was it corruption that made them halt isreal from selling arms to us,was it corruption that made them criticised russia for selling arms to us. You can tell me corruption is one of the reasons but not the MAIN reason, instead they sent weapons to Isreal to kill innocent Palestines. Yes and yes. Naija is a failed state. |

plaetton: This is so disingenuous. Religious fraud is religious fraud, irrespective of whether it is perpetuated with great sophistication or with village crudeness.
I don't want to condescend to engage in all these senseless ethnic name-calling, but if you are here to say that Yoruba pastors do not perpetuate the sane level of fraud that obtains everywhere in Nigerian, then you are a shameless liar.
I don't want cast any aspersions on the Yoruba people, whom I admire greatly, but it is so glaring that the greatest religious robbers of all time, just coincidentally happen to be Yoruba.
The Adeboyes, The Oyedepos, The Oshomolowos, The Adefarasins, The Kumuyis, The TB Clown Joshua's of Nigeria are the inspirations and role models for these crude fraudsters that we are all mocking here on this thread.
Stop the hypocrisy, and let's all call a fraud a fraud. I agree that those mentioned above were the trendsetters. But this posters here shows guys who are completely disingenuous, who insult their congregation's IQ and wallet. WhIle they are all fraudsters, these guys here are thieves without honor; no professionalism in their game. |

bro4u: America thinks we cant defeat Boko Haram without their help but fortunately they have been embarassed even after publicly predicting the division of Nigeria,am not suprise because even if am told am America supports Nigeria in the fight i would swear in Gods name both in Heaven and Earth.
America is not friends and will never be friends of Nigeria..Fu(k Them With Their Fu(king Money Your sense of patriotism is highly misplaced. Stop the conspiracy nonsense. The reason they are not giving Nigeria money is due to our corrupt leaders and corrupt nature. It is now well known that Nigeria is a joke. They view our leaders as monkeys running a pariah state. Nigeria will not be taken seriously by the international community unless we act fast. Ask yourself; if the US gives us $35million, how much do you think wI'll end up in private hands. Naija ain't fooling anybody anymore. |

demandtruth: The churches in the area i reside are very disobedient to God's words, the bible.
I can't just understand any justification of why they make so much noise. They'll be having night vigil and will still drum and use speakers in the middle of the night from 12am - 4am. They are a terror
Anytime i come home, i wish i could just get so much $ to go get me a new house in Ikoyi. I find it hard to even attend their churches except Deeper life.
The question i always asked myself is: why disobey the law of the fatherland when infact majority of these churches never do this in the western world. There's hardly any Nigeria churches that don't have a branch in U.S.A or Canada and they don't do this Dem no born dem well. One church I used to go in Houston them go dey look like zombie but as soon as they land for naija it's masquerade time. Zoning codes would not allow this among humans, but in the jungle anything goes. By the way are the Fuji guys still rocking all night too. |
