Politics / Re: Elders Reject Proposed Nuclear Power Plant In Akwa Ibom by Daykoozy(m): 7:46pm On Jul 06, 2015
As expected, there will be protest in the Kogi and Akwa . Any one who understands Nigeria will be suicidal to invite a nuclear plant to his or her neighborhood.
Russia and Nigeria planning a nuclear in one's backyard is a remedy for disaster.

Politics / Re: All Universities Established By Jonathan Are Illegal-ASUU by Daykoozy(m): 10:32am On May 29, 2015
oduastates:

Mr it is that "me me me" attitude that is killing Nigeria and ASUU should know better. In a country where tribal and religious affiliation are pronounced, the academia is where you expect to get the uniformity, consensus, unity and the affirmation of ideas, ideology and direction.
ASUU I repeat,is a useless organisation. Apart from a few professors (Akin Oyebode, David west,Itse sagay,Pat utomi ) who put in an effort to shape the direction of the country, they are barely better than the road transport union.
One of them in ekiti( a professor in sociology wrote one useless article to spite fayemi.
An end to spreadsheet government.
I am like, "what they hell"?
I regard ASUU as no different from the road transport union.
Your gripe is misplaced. This clown- president was creating universities as tho he were creating a market. The creation of this institutions was political. These institutions ought be be scrapped as they offer no value to the already under-served, under-educated Nigerian youths. Gej's own academic exercise is an example of bad education; we don't want more of it.

This is the man who today is the key to the success of APC and everything APC rides on today.
Why he wasnt fielded as their presidential candidate will forever remain a mystery...then again its APC.

Meanwhile i was in Edo state the other day, i swear to God ramat park area is just how it was several years ago before the bypass to the east was created, nothing...i mean absolutely nothings changed. Federal govt tarred ugbowo road, the governor puts two lanes like service lanes beside the road and starts to claim he fixed the road. What the rant is about that man still remains a mystery to me.
Guess he needed it to psyche up his molato.

Aregbesola...that he goat came to lagos during campaign sat on a bus (you can take a beast out of the jungle but you definitely cant take the jungle out of the beast) bloody tout and was throwing money to the crowd meanwhile workers in his state had not been paid for months! If this isnt evil please tell me what is?

This is about Fashola. I still believe the man was robbed of an opportunity. Funny how APC stalwarts never see this? Posterity will show this is the best governor the state ever had and if APC had been a tad bit wiser, a better candidate for the presidency!

Then again its a party run by the vote of just one person.

I can only wish this man nothing but good success in his future endeavors.
This is politics, the best man is not always selected or elected by his or her own party. Strategically, GMB still gave APC the best chance to win.
On the other hand, a GMB victory will do more to solidify democracy in Nigeria as he will do more to fight corruption.

thank u sir u understand what am saying. It will be hard for minorities to rule Nigeria again. Even if they win the primaries those with the highest population will decide. The south east man and SS will always be ruled. We are in a chain right now and we should cry out for freedom.
If clowns like you fail to narrate our recent history, how are we to expect you guys to give an accurate account of the 60s. Guys like you make the sanest among us want to thread the tribal lines.
This election, the results in the southwest, has nothing to do with tribal sentiments. We can bring a foreigner without knowledge of Nigerian history and he or she will objectively conclude that the southwest is the progressive region. It's in our DNA. when we clamored for GEJ most of you were in bed. When we dumped OBJ, most of you were still dreaming.
Since time immemorial, our people have believed in the right to pursue happiness and leaders who fail to adhere were summarily executed. Your whine about sentimental voting patterns is applicable every where in Nigeria but the southwest. And please tell me what the voting patterns of the SE and SS is based on,could that be based on FANTASTIC governance. grin grin

I still think GMB should be allowed to with impunity when it comes to matter of corruption. I will have no mercy of all this looters were executed. It is becoming apparent that the thievery of this administration is of monumental proportions.
The Lagos international airport will tell visitors they have arrived in a failed state. It's hot, the restrooms are atrocious, It is repulsive. I try to conduct business in other African countries as a result. The first impression is indeed a sign welcoming the unsuspecting visitor to the jungle.

.Please we did not elect APC to waste our time and divert our attention with ' PROBE '.
Every thing the last administration did will be contained in the Hand Over Notes. Any queries and misunderstandings can be sorted out amicable between the two leaders. That's how it is done.
APC should get on with delivering their campaign promises and stop flogging a dead horse.
You should be done away with for making such a statement. So a peasant like you want business as usual in a nation massively indebted. Myopic dunces like yourself needs the mercy of a firing squad. Without people like you Jonathan would have been a better man.

The activity or lack thereof on this thread also underscores what we prioritize. If na Yansh-talk or tribal page go long sotey.

Good points. I laughed when someone advised me to invest in naija's stock market. One is better off rolling dice or going to a casino with his or her money. The Nigerian economy is not mature enough. All we have are some sharp guys looking for quick bucks from gullible.
Until the infrastructure is built, we need not dream of making money on the stock market. There's a n invincible bottleneck weighing down our industrieS due to lack of infrastructure. This lack makes it impossible to project and forecast growth for the well managed companies with potential.
This is another example of how corruption and malfeasance has ruined the nation.

Sports / Re: Ruby Igwe In An Open Letter Urge DANGOTE To Buy Man United Instead Of Arsenal by Daykoozy(m): 12:19am On May 08, 2015
mmsen:

Dangote is worth more than most of them and EPL has financial fair play rules to stop financial doping - very few billionaires are high liquidity.

Abramovich is worth 9 billion. Kronke is worth 6. The Glazers are worth 4.5. Only Man City's sheikh has more money than Dangote.

With an asset like Arsenal FC he could easily borrow from UK banks if needed.

Abramovich's was cash, liquid assets. Kronke also got in with liquid assets by selling other holdings. For Dangote to buy into the Premier league he would have to open his books up and I don't think he would be comfortable with that.
While he might be able to raise the funds, the business man in him would rather put the money in to a venture that would generate more than ownership of a soccer team.
A net worth can go form a billion to a million in a day. Cash is always king.

highmood:
Nice. This is a type of action I have expected these countries where our politicians, thier children and colleagues go for wasteful holidays to have taken. Its not enough to say they are helping us recover our stolen wealth, but they should make laws to prevent them from even coming to lodge the money in thier country.
If these politicians should fortunately steal, it will even be better and understandable if the money is seen to have been reinvested here but our pain is that the stolen billions are taken where it will never be productive but wasteful thereby impoverishing Nigeria citizens the more.
Good point. If they were reinvesting and creating jobs maybe the impact of their loot would be minimal. But sinc e they have no respect for money, they abuse it in wasteful and unimaginable indulgence. It should be against the law for these politicians to own a foreign account.
Sports / Re: Ruby Igwe In An Open Letter Urge DANGOTE To Buy Man United Instead Of Arsenal by Daykoozy(m): 7:32pm On May 07, 2015
Premier league ownership is for billionaires with high liquidity. Dangote never reach this level now. Give him another 10 years till he gets his refinery going. This is strictly cash matters, unless the naija Mugu banks want to finance this purchase. Dangote his highly leveraged for now.
