tucky200:The underground bunker is being built as we speak. All looters and their sympathizers are all doing hard labor. if you are not a criminal, no qualms. If you are, then I feel sorry for you. |
sirugos:so why comment? |
mcdokwe:Let's really hope they are. Their counterparts in Nairobi, Maputo, China, are acquiring skills and education for the future while our youths are going to night vigils and prayer worships. Trust me, countries like Mozambique, Botswana, Tanzania, and even Ghana have already overtaken us. Good governance, education and investment in infrastructure between 1999-2015 in some African countries will become evident in coming years(naija is not one of them)Sometimes I cry when I go to these places and see how far they've come in a decade. We may have the most Ferraris but this countries have a better quality of life. what we don't need is our youths being prayer warriors. Their energy should be channelled into creative ideas in arts, sports and education. Nigeria is an a perfect example for why religion is a waste. We're the most religious yet the most corrupt. More importantly, these youths have now figured the game out. They know the system is corrupt in and out of the church and they don't want to hear that sh..t anymore. Hopefully these youths will revolt against the system, causing mayhem and reordering our priorities. The Agbalagbas have destroyed the youth's future. 2 generations destroyed and another on the way. |
DollyParton1:Nice profile pic. Did you draw it? |
RickRichards:Eritrea should be number three. They are well organized and they don't run in battle. Nigeria should be no 7, we're not training, and the money for our military-ware is being plundered. Once we start reorganizing then we should be back to number 1. |
MizTyna:Your pragmatism is well commended. Nothing could stop a woman from doing her thing as well. |
fittty:A news about a Nigerian murdering his wife...Hear yourself for a moment. Ignoramus! Nigerians, we should be the last to stereotype based on misconceptions. If we are treated the way we sometimes treat others we wouldn't be allowed into any foreign country. Stay on the topic. |
bushdoc9919:Fiscal discipline indeed! So many fat cats are so indebted tI the banks that the banks are now beholden to them. The bank management know insolvency means their banks will go down and all they can do is hope Oga Billionaire makes his payments on time instead of fronting in another used private jet. |
DrWise:That's the attitude causing the banking problem. Nice move by the CBN. It's fake millionaires quit splurging on the savings of the poor. |
In nigeria military is not a noble profession. Nigeria is primarily destroyed by the military. [/quote This is the best comment on the thread thus far. Our pot- bellied Generals ascribing lofty ideals to their military careers. It irks me so much when I hear IBB talk about his sacrifice to the nation. Cameroon, Ethiopia, Eritrea,Egypt, Tunisia all have better soldiers and are better prepared to go to war. Hopeful Gen Boo Will turn things around. |
Mekybliss:You sure say that Maputo booty na be Photoshop ojojoro |
sinaj:Sinaj I like that that picture. So naturelle. Is the booty section uploading... |
jacksparrow1207:Fela the truest truth talker Africa ever had. If only Nigeria had listened to this mad man, we would be a greater for it. Now back to the matter. When I say Africans are their own worst enemy, people say I'm harsh. I did not realize the ignorant things we do until I left as a young teen. It was after living in the white man's land that I became to appreciate my culture more because I could see clearly. Even most white people appreciate the black skin better than Africans appreciate themselves. Bleaching is a consequence of mental slavery. Even our African American s appreciate the dark skin more than we do, this is a shame. I will not give a woman or man who bleaches a job, I won't feed them, I won't save them if they were drowning. If you feel this way about youselves, then how should Hitler feel about you. Embrace yourselves! The biggest problem with Africa is the social and cultural, and once we fix that everything else will fall right in place. And we whine about what we're being subjected to by the white man. Stay black and proud like Amala iya Foli. Shout out to my Boy Black Magic, the new Fela ![]() |
bunmioguns:is dat pic real? |
tsdarkside:we don't have to have to condemn christians and Muslims to maintain our tradition. I only pointed out the irony of a christian African asserting that the white man is the devil and quoting the bible to support his claI'm. Unless the man I quote agrees that God used the devilish white man to save us Africans. |
tsdarkside:The whites are the devils and you're justifying it based on the bible introduced to you and your forefathers by the white man. Hence the folly of the Nigerian negro. Quick to quote the bible, quick to quote the Koran, While his own tradition gradually washes away. Don't blame your Lord..Lugard, blame yourselves for allowing the brainwashed. |
kambili999:Please leave south Africans alone. We must not forget 'Ghana must go' in the eighties. The truth is underemployed, uneducated zulus are overwhelmed and there is a bit of jealousy involved, but most of the backlash has to do with the lower paying jobs being scarce. maybe SA should consider stricter immigration reform that will only allow students in SA unis, or professional degree holders. The rest can return to Their country of origin especially my fellow Nigerians. The outside world keeps relieving Nigeria of its pressure. its time to deal with our problems instead of crying about what foreigners are doing. The truth is the average Nigerian gets more justice in SA than they do at home. When Nigerians are ready to go all out like they abroad, that's when things will turn around. |
raayah:Any company can be nationalized. The question is will Nigeria do such? The answer is No. The economic ramifications will be dire. Private investors will shy away from Nigeria. The only thing that can be done is to boycott or patronize Nigeria owned enterprise But I seriously doubt that, since the naija mentality of ' foreign fine pass' will not allow homegrown to succeed as it should. What these SA brothers need to be doing is learning the ropes of running a business and the art of hustle from the naija brothers. That will serve them well iinstead of this abominable tantrum. |
Duru1:The alleged attitude levelled against Boss13 is a farce. You are the one withproblem. It is obvious that a toddler would be able to observe that NOI will go down as one of the world's worst economic managers. A pig like her would be hung in saner climes. She woefully damaged Nigeria's economy and the future of coming generations. gej, her boss, was given the silver platter: rising oil prices, mandate of the people, and zero external debt left by OBJ administration. Yet this clueless woman and her boss fumbled the nation to bankruptcy. Say what you may about Buhari, he is definitely not perfect but I doubt he would condone the BS witnessed the last six years. Buhari is known for one thing; his abhorrence for corruption. If Ngozi had maintained this principle and resigned due to endemic corruption, then the nation would be better for it. Your obvious display of ignorance is clearly the malaise plaguing the nation and not Bob13's on point observations. |
The sun-god Horus was worshipped nearly 1,000 years before the story of Jesus. Check these parallels: 1.Both were conceived of a virgin. 2.Both were the "only begotten son" of a god (either Osiris or Yahweh) 3.Horus's mother was Meri, Jesus's mother was Mary. 4.Horus's foster father was called Jo-Seph, and Jesus's foster father was Joseph. 5.Both foster fathers were of royal descent. 6.Both were born in a cave (although sometimes Jesus is said to have been born in a stable). 7.Both had their coming announced to their mother by an angel. Horus; birth was heralded by the star Sirius (the morning star). Jesus had his birth heralded by a star in the East (the sun rises in the East). 8.Ancient Egyptians celebrated the birth of Horus on December 21 (the Winter Solstice). Modern Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25. 9.Both births were announced by angels (this si nto the same as number 7). 10.Both had shepherds witnessing the birth. 11.Horus was visited at birth by "three solar deities" and Jesus was visited by "three wise men". 12.After the birth of Horus, Herut tried to have Horus murdered. After the birth of Jesus, Herod tried to have Jesus murdered. 13.To hide from Herut, the god That tells Isis, "Come, thou goddess Isis, hide thyself with thy child." To hide from Herod, an angel tells Joseph to "arise and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt." 14.When Horus came of age, he had a special ritual where hsi eye was restored. When Jesus (and other Jews) come of age, they have a special ritual called a Bar Mitzvah. 15.Both Horus and Jesus were 12 at this coming-of-age ritual. Neither have any official recorded life histories between the ages of 12 and 30. 16.Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus. Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan. 17.Both were baptized at age 30. 18.Horus was baptized by Anup the Baptizer. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. 19.Both Anup and John were later beheaded. 20.Horus was taken from the desert of Amenta up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Set. Jesus was taken from the desert in Palestine up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Satan. 21.Both Horus and Jesus successfully resist this temptation. 22.Both have 12 disciples. 23.Both walked on water, cast out demons, healed the sick, and restored sight to the blind. 24.Horus "stilled the sea by his power." Jesus commanded the sea to be still by saying, "Peace, be still." 25.Horus raised his dead father (Osiris) from the grave. Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave. (Note the similarity in names when you say them out loud. Further, Osiris was also known as Asar, which is El-Asar in Hebrew, which is El-Asarus in Latin.) 26.Osiris was raised in the town of Anu. Lazarus was raised in Bethanu (literally, "house of Anu" .27.Both gods delivered a Sermon on the Mount. 28.Both were crucified. 29.Both were crucified next to two thieves. 30.Both were buried in a tomb. 31.Horus was sent to Hell and resurrected in 3 days. Jesus was sent to Hell and came back "three days" later (although Friday night to Sunday morning is hardly three days). 32.Both had their resurrection announced by women. 33.Both are supposed to return for a 1000-year reign. 34.Horus is known as KRST, the anointed one. Jesus was known as the Christ (which means "anointed one" .35.Both Jesus and Horus have been called the good shepherd, the lamb of God, the bread of life, the son of man, the Word, the fisher, and the winnower. 36.Both are associated with the zodiac sign of Pisces (the fish). 37.Both are associated with the symbols of the fish, the beetle, the vine, and the shepherd's crook. 38.Horus was born in Anu ("the place of bread" and Jesus was born in Bethlehem ("the house of bread" .39."The infant Horus was carried out of Egypt to escape the wrath of Typhon. The infant Jesus was carried into Egypt to escape the wrath of Herod. Concerning the infant Jesus, the New Testament states the following prophecy: 'Out of Egypt have I called my son.'" 40.Both were transfigured on the mount. 41.The catacombs of Rome have pictures of the infant Horus being held by his mother, not unlike the modern-day images of "Madonna and Child." Noted English author C. W. King says that both Isis and Mary are called "Immaculate". 42.Horus says: "Osiris, I am your son, come to glorify your soul, and to give you even more power." And Jesus says: "Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once." Horus was identified with the Tau (cross). Approximately 46 Similarities were identified between these two, however some of the similarities are considered debatable. Although Im not confident about the authenticity of these parallels, I would like to know your opinion. The REAL TRUTH shall set you free.. in this order: Spiritually Culturally Socially Economically As long as we continue to adhere to another man's superstition and live and die by them then we are bound to be slaves. |
Crocz:Preach! I traveled to kwara and I loved it. The diversity is quite unique. No need to change nothing. Perhaps just allow more political and economical inclusiveness. |
The Ibos will soon know who owns Lagos in a week time. The Oba means every letter of his words and his say is final-no apology. I beg to differ. The Oba clearly owes them an apology. No where in a civilized world should an elder in the community make such a statement In the public realm. As a Yoruba who understands tradition this statement is unbecoming of an Oba. While I support the APC; this is clearly not the way of a statesman. The Oba can cajole, advice and persuade others how to vote but he cannot make such an hostile statement publicly or privately. There is more to this than meets the eye. As they say in Yoruba, "the thing whey he go chop no make am well". Clearly the Oba has guaranteed godies coming from Ambode. Even then, such statement from an Oba is clearly unacceptable. |
Mopolchi:When will you guys learn. when will you all REALISE that Yorubas are not as sentimental as the rest of Nigeria. Our culture dictates that leaders must perform, this is ingrained in our DNA. Did we not criticize OBJ? Have you all forgotten how his own ppl treated him When he failed to perform? And during the Yaradua saga did the Yorubas not pressure the north this making way for the prisms boy. We even voted for him when he sought his first term. if the rest of Nigeria were as pragmatic as the yorubas then this nation would have long been a great nation. To my ignorance peeps who keep hating on the Yorubas, you're doing so at your own demise. Stop the infatuation and move on. Should Buhari fail to perform then we'll find an alternative in 4 years. instead of fuming on Nairaland for the next for years start fielding an easterner candidate that can do a good job as president and trust me the Yorubas will judge him/her by measure of his/her mandate and not where he/she hails from. Stop already, a thread like these for the next for years is unhealthy. Cleanse your mind of the anti Yoruba sentiments and God will bless you. |
Fani Kayode! Two more days to run out the country. You are number 5 on the list. |
bdidi:Trust me Venezuela is paradise compared with Nigeria. And I doubt other oil producers are suffering as Nigerians are now. In regards to the e account solution she espoused, believe me there will be a way around it if the same corrupt and compromised Players are left at the helm of government. Only an original sufferer will claim this woman is doing a good Job. The fact is Nigeria has always been corrupt but GEJ and his cabinet took it to an astronomical level. This woman and most of GEJ handlers deserve hard labor in prison. I will pardon GEJ because the guy is truly clueless and nice. One cannot expect a 2yr old to run a country. That is what we did when we elected GEJ. Apologist such as yourself need to do time for being ignorant. |
