theV0ice:
You're the one offering inane arguments. You still pick up the mic and continue with the childish excuses we've been subjected to for the past 5 years. If he cannot do more than he's doing now, is that not an admission that he has reached the end of his rope and keeping him on means the country is headed for the abyss of Economic, social and security meltdown? Nigeria is not his personal business where he can fold his hands in resignation and say he doesn't know what else to do....the destinies of 170million people is at stake here and if that doesn't jolt you back to reality, we shouldn't be having this discussion.

Interests didn't start today and the honest truth is that Jonathan is still in office simply to ensure the sustenance and survival of the kleptocracy that he and his cronies have subjected the country to since he entered politics. As of today, GEJ is the greatest beneficiary of the situation the country finds itself in today as he and his friends' looting spree can be carried out on multiple fronts.

Who killed Osama? everybody will point to Obama because despite the fact that he was ensconced in an air-conditioned situation room while American marines were risking their lives to hunt the terrorist, as c-in-c, the buck stops at his table. He's credited with the success today because every sensible person knows that he would have borne the full responsibility if the mission failed. Nigerians don't care if GEJ has to delegate his duties to the devil, all we need is for him to do the job he was elected to do and for which he's very handsomely rewarded.

See Obama in the attached picture of the situation room during the operation to kill Osama. Do you see the worried look on his face? thats the picture of a man who realizes the enormous responsibility on his hands at that moment even though he had very little control over what was going on thousands of miles away. GEJ should learn how to be a leader. Leaders take responsibility and find a way, not excuses.
Bros, after reading your comment I took a cup of coffee aswear! Well balance and articulated, you have simply summarize GEJ mentality of Governance. You are simply the boss #teamsouthwestforBUHARI/OSINBANJO

PoliticsMulti National Task Force Clears Terrorist' Camp In Borno by dayo23(op): 9:36am On Aug 17, 2014
The Defence Headquarters said in Abuja on Saturday that troops of the Multi-National Joint Task Force had cleared a terrorists camp in Buduram, north of Doron Baga in Borno.

A statement posted on the Defence Headquarters website: www.defenceinfo.mil.ng, said the dawn raid operation was carried out on Friday.

It said the troops raided the camp where the terrorists were regrouping and reorganising to carry out a reprisal attack after being routed in Doron Baga in a previous encounter on August 10.

According to the statement, 17 terrorists died in the operation, while some who escaped into neighbouring islands in the Lake Chad Peninsula are still being pursued. It noted that calm had been restored to Doron Baga after the August 10 attack by the terrorists who infiltrated the community with some of them disguising as women in hijab.

It added that five of the terrorists died in the counter offensive to defend Doron Baga by troops of the MNJTF. According to the statement, many of the inhabitants of the community who fled into nearby bushes for safety are now returning.

EducationASUU Confirmes Strike Has Been Suspended by dayo23(op): 9:53am On Dec 17, 2013
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has confirmed the suspension of its over five-months-old strike, DailyPost can report.

ASUU Chairman, University of Lagos Chapter, Karo Ogbinaka, on Tuesday told Channels Television that the union decided to call off the protracted protest after a marathon meeting held on Monday in Minna, Niger State capital.

DailyPost had reported earlier that ASUU suspended its five months-old strike after a meeting it held at the Federal University of Technology, FUT, Minna.

Ogbinaka added that, in line with ASUU procedures, the different chapters of union would meet on Wednesday to inform members and managements of Universities about the latest development.

“We expect the students to resume and their members to go back to work immediately after the congress meeting, and we expect the government to keep to the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)”, Ogninaka stated.

Olugbenger: I don't think it's necessary we brawl more on this subject. I haven't even been to ABU personally and same for alot of people who have not been to OAU and since the OP has been exposed, it's very illogical to pass judgement or even deduce a credible opinion from what we have seen.

This is an OAU thread, but we can see several pages containing pics of ABU posted by folks from ABU.
Did this happen on the ABU thread?

Now i can see ABU chaps straying away to compare academic standards and derailing this thread intentionally. This explains alot already and i don't need pointing out what is obvious and i won't state either what's not.

Their behaviour and desperation speaks volumes about this issue adequately.
smiley

BTW, i'm always open to decent debates and comparison of facts, with mature minds. And by mature, i mean real people, not someone like the OP, eddieo, or most silly chaps from ABU on this thread and others.
see who is talking....... grin grin grin!!! ABU Zaria don down una, make una go relax jaree.

I agree OAU has academic standard than any other, even ABU ZARIA.But one thing i want you to know is nigeria education dont have any standard @ all compare to most part of the world, all wat we have is mouth mouth and we start naming past glory, education in nigeria is wack! One more thing dont alwayz think any graduate of OAU is better than let say a product of Futo or unimad, it all individual ability

mathematician: state the award he won, where does he stand among the likes kof terrence tao(field medalist), andre szemeredi(abel prize [highest, mathematical honour]), grigory yakovlevich perelman(clay conjecture solver/field medalist), etc
Professor Oyibo found
the Unified Field Theory, the Holy Grail of Physics and
Mathematics. His theorem, GOD ALMIGHTY'S GRAND
UNIFIED THEOREM (GAGUT):< Introduced the concept of Affine Transformations
into the field of aeroelasticity, aeronautics, which is
used by prominent researchers and aircraft companies
around the world.

< Professor Oyibo has solved the toughest problems in
at least three disciplines, Navier-Stokes Equations
(Mathematics); Turbulence ( Aeronautics); The
Theory of Everything or the Unified Field Theory
(Mathematical Physics.) Gij, j = 0

Discovered that hydrogen is the only building block
of the entire universe , there is ONLY ONE ELEMENT
as opposed to the current, general belief that there are
118 ELEMENTS that form the basis of science

Ø Briefed United States Senate on Unified Field Theory o
n January 27, 2000 in Washington, D.C.

< Has been nominated for the Presidential Medal of Science
and the Nobel Prize awards. These nominations have been
supported by distinguished professors from prestigious
universities such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT). The Cambridge International Biographical Centre
(IBC-England) has conferred the following honors on
Professor Oyibo the International Personalty of the Year
2000-2001; 2000 Outstanding Scientist for the 21st Century;
and among one of the One Hundred Most Outstanding Citizen
s of the World. Referenced in: Who's Who in America ;Who's
Who in Science and Engineering; Who's Who in the World

< Received the Key to Miami Dade County and honored by
the Miami Dade School Board, October 2002; Honored by
the New York City Council, and the Huntington, N Y, Town
Council, for his work and discoveries .Holds the AAA Journal
worldwide publication record for 1983.

< Selected by NATO/AGAR as a contributor to their unsteady
transonic aerodynamic research.

< Consultant to half a dozen aerospace companies around the
world, the United States and the United Nations.

< Recipient of several professional and scientific awards
including the Associate Fellow Award from the American
Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AAA).

< Found a new holograph technique for determining
nonlinear two-dimensional unsteady and three dimensional flow,
resulting in a new analytical and wing design tool.

< Developed new group theory methods in mathematics.
The methods from the new group theory were first used to
solve the full Navier Stokes equations as well as Reynolds
Averaged equations for turbulence.

< Using the newly developed group theory methods he
generalized and proved Einstein=s theorem (theory) in an
article entitled GENERALIZED Mathematical Proof of
Einstein's Theory Using A New Group Theory which was
published in a Russian and an American journal. This proof
of Einstein's theory has been recognized by the American
Mathematical Society(AMS) in its Mathematical Reviews
(ME) journal, MR 98e83007. .

C He has discovered the Unified Field Theory or the
Theory of Everything, the theory Albert Einstein searched
for unsuccessfully most of his life, which he has published
in the book entitled, Grand Unified Theorem@ which has
been recognized by the American Mathematical Society
(AMS) and the European Mathematical Society(EMS).
In 2002 published Highlights of the Grand Unified
Theorem: Formulation of the Unified Field Theory or
the Theory of Everything.Gij, j = 0. These monographs
are found in prestigious university and other research
libraries such as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT), Princeton, ETH, (where
Einstein obtained Ph.D.) UC Berkeley, Cornell University,

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has probably entered a secret meeting in Kano at an undisclosed location on November 22, 2013, Friday.

According to a source of DailyTrust, the members of the National Executive Council of ASUU parked their cars in Bayero University, Kano's oldsite and entered a PTF coaster bus to an undisclosed location where the NEC meeting should be taking place in these minutes.

If the anonymous source of DailyTrust is not a mischief-maker, there are chances that decision on finishing the four-month-old ASUU strike may be ready by tomorrow.

More to follow…
