PoliticsRe: Jonathan Stops PDP’s Bid To Contest Buhari’s Victory by dayodare490: 9:23am On Apr 03, 2015
dodoniyi:
President Goodluck Jonathan may have prevailed on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to challenge President-elect Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s victory  in last Saturday’s election.

Instead of planning a case for the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, thei Presidency will raise a Transition Committee on Tuesday, a source told The Nation yesterday.

Vice President-elect Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is likely to head the All Progressives Congress (APC) team which will join the committee ahead of the May 29 transition.

Ministers have started preparing their handover notes, it was also learnt.

It was gathered that although some PDP stalwarts wanted Buhari’s victory challenged at the tribunal, the President thought otherwise.

The party stalwarts, it was said, believe that some irregularities in some states are strong enough to upturn the final results of the election, which was hailed at home and abroad as substantially credible. Jonathan, it was learnt, said it made no sense —contesting Buhari’s victory— after he had conceded defeat.

It was learnt that the PDP leaders referred  to the electoral scenario in  Ekiti where  the All Progressives Congress(APC) went to tribunal  despite the acceptance of defeat by ex-Governor Kayode Fayemi.

The President, however, stood his ground that he would rather stand by his statesmanship attitude than going to tribunal.

A source, who spoke in confidence, said: “The President has prevailed on PDP to drop plans to go to tribunal against Buhari. He said he wants his word to be his bond, having been applauded by the international community.

“At a point, Jonathan said ‘I don’t believe in post-election petition at tribunal because it distracts the incoming administration’.

“He also said Nigeria must emulate other nations where once the presidential poll is lost and won, the new government must not be distracted with election petitions.

“He told party leaders that he was not interested in going to the tribunal. It is now left for PDP leaders to heed his advice.

“So as at Thursday, the government’s position is that the PDP should not go to tribunal.”

Stating the PDP’s position on the elections in a statement yesterday, Chairman Adamu Mu’azu, said:   “We have received reports of serious irregularities that characterized the conduct of the election and we shall channel our protests to the appropriate quarters in line with our profound respect for the rule of law and democratic ethos.”

He did not say whether the party would go to the tribunal but added:  “What is paramount to us is the survival of our democracy, the unity, peace and progress of our dear nation and the happiness of all our people. Nigeria is bigger than any political party, individual or group and her overall interest must be our priority at all times.”

The President in 2010 at the 15th summit of the African Union (AU) in Kampala, Uganda described post-election litigation as a major distraction to governance.

Jonathan said: “It is inconvenient to already be in office and be thinking about election litigation.

“The essence of the immunity clause in the constitution is that if a president or a governor takes an oath of office, he should sit down and concentrate on the job and when he leaves office, he could be prosecuted for any offence.

“But because of the way we conduct our elections, the president who sits in office is still battling and being distracted with election issues, and it affects us.”

The transition committee is likely to be constituted next week.

Another source added: “The Presidency is working on a seamless transition from Jonathan’s administration to Buhari’s. The details are being worked out.”

“I think by next week, the picture of the transition committee will emerge. The government is working early on the transition because it involves a lot of work.

“The APC team will have to collaborate with the committee and ask questions if there are grey areas.”

Meanwhile, Ministers have started compiling their handover notes, which will be part of the integral aspect of the report of the transition committee.

Does my ex president have better option than to bow out in sorrow. Although, if he has to bow out it should not be a man who says the dog and baboon that holds it will soak in the blood if he does not win upcoming election. Not to the man who says national conference is nonsense and didn't support it. It is painful that our president has to bow in sorrow

The global dynamics of war has made nations adopt deterence as a sure position to ensure global peace..The reason is simple..Never assume your opponent or enemy is not capable...America struck Iraq but won't dare attack Iran or North korea for fear of their unknown nuclear capabilities, hence, the endless negotiations. Asari Dokubo is threatening to unleash on the Nigerian state and we stare at him and foolishly think he cant do nothing. This was how OBJ said Bokoharam will die naturally. Here we are today. On the other hand, Yaradua's govt, on trying to remove the cancer called Bokoharam, killed their leader and that was the end of peace and beginning of insecurity in Nigeria...A lot of people are ranting and throwing away logic on this matter...after a careful look at the unfolding event..i am convinced that Asari and Tompolo are far wealthier now than when they first went to the creeks in early 2000...To that end, the bomb they can acquire and unleash collateral damage will be so sophisticated that Bokoharam will appear to have been using knock out all these years. The damage they will cause may take 10years to repair...I once read an article on new York times in 2006 by an oil and energy expert, telling OPEC that so long as the militancy in Niger delta remains...the oil world is headed for crisis. Yaradua moved into action using diplomacy and amnesty.....had he killed the militants...we would have been in deeper kunu today. Only the leader of Bokoharam, Mohammed Abubakar was killed and his supporters vowed to avenge his death. We thought they were high on cheap weed till they became more viciously popular than imagined...

Asari is being undermined by Nigerians, they have called him fat pig but may he be tamed before he unleashes the unimaginable against the Nigerian state..i am not one of those underestimating him...i propose that talks begin now before he gets out of hand. Shell petroleum closed their shop today in Bayelsa because of his street walk with his boys accross yenagoa....

Indeed, i am wearing my binocular vision of optimism..hoping for the best.

asari dokunbo's threat? No, that boy is not a threat to general he is a tool. The only threat general has now is general himself. Nothing else.

Personally looking at buhari he does not have the strength and charisma to manage a complex Country like Nigeria, with the likes of tinubu, amechi and kwankwaso who are already fighting for positions before his inauguration.

Nigeria will regret the decision of making buhari president very soon we will get to know Goodluck is better

Just my personal thought!!!!
if buhari does not go beyong being the worst Nigeria president then that would be a fair game. Don't you think so?

otipoju:
I found this online at http://nigeriaworld.com/feature/publication/fayemiwo/040215.html and although it is long, its sensitive contents it would be of value to APC and Nigerians in protecting their mandate.

*******************************************************

Congratulations to retired General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo for being elected as president and vice-president respectively of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I felicitate with Nigerians all over the world and Africans in general for the anticipated orderly transfer of power for the first time from an incumbent to an opposition presidential candidate in Africa's most populous nation on earth. The election of retired Gen Buhari as president-elect did not come to us as a surprise.

As I pointed out in my prediction for the Year 2015, which was published in this column in December 2014, inter alia; "…President Goodluck Jonathan should not attempt to contest for the2015 Presidential Election. If he does, not only will he lose, he will also be humiliated. Many of those he has surrounded himself with are mostly deceiving him. All the vows he made to the Lord when he was fighting for his political life in 2010 and when he contested the 2011 presidential election have not been kept, according to the Lord. We are not talking of political promises or manifestoes here, but vows he made when he was prayed for and said he would do for the Lord. Hear the words of the Lord to you, Mr. Jonathan: "When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow," (Ecclesiastes 5: 4). The Lord said Mr. Jonathan had played his part in the history of Nigeria and should retire to Otuoke, Bayelsa State with honor and humility in 2015.

However, he is being deceived by some forces, especially those who advised him to embark on Holy Pilgrimage to Israel as a way of winning the presidential election next year. He should also not succumb to forces telling him to belong to a secret society in order to ensure his election victory in 2015. The Lord said Jonathan is being deceived and should not succumb to such lies and deceptions." We warned again in another letter to Outgoing President Jonathan in a separate open letter addressed to him and reiterated what the Holy Spirit of the True Lord God Almighty showed to us. As recently as ten days ago, we warned and assured President Jonathan he would lose the Saturday March 28, 2015 presidential election in Nigeria, even though it was rescheduled from Saturday February 14, 2015 and that has come to pass.

*President-elect Muhammadu Buhari: Must be careful between now and Inauguration Day on Saturday May 29, 2015.
Now we have a president-elect and vice president-elect, against all odds and the doomsday predictions about Nigeria. While we are all celebrating the triumph of the will of the generality of Nigerians in entrusting the affairs of the Nigerian nation into the steady hands of retired Gen. Muhmmadu Buhari, as evinced by the results of the just-concluded Saturday March 28, 2015 presidential election, I want to sound an urgent alarm and a timely warning to Nigerians that, if we are not spiritually alert, our joy may be short-lived.

In the midst of the current jollification, well-deserved revelry, high-fives and national Kumbaya, Outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan has conceded defeat and has called on our president-elect to congratulate him. All former heads of state, captains of industry, the shakers and movers and Nigeria's political cum socio-economic gurus and "murkety murks" have started trooping in to pledge their loyalty and support for the New Man. The APC is rejoicing and the PDP which once touted itself as the largest political party in Black Africa is hemorrhaging politically and many of their wheeler-dealers are now endangered species. Many will soon head to political Siberia and Nigeria will not be the same. While outgoing President Jonathan has been magnanimous in defeat and there are plaudits around the world for his graceful exit and statesmanlike disposition, I warn Nigerians not be sucked in and deceived.

The APC and majority of Nigerians have just won a political war, but there is going to be an intense spiritual warfare never seen in the history of Nigeria for the traditional orderly transfer of power to take place. President Goodluck Jonathan and his gang aren't ready to go down like this; Nigerians should not be deceived and retired Gen Buhari should not be sucked in and bamboozled either by all these congratulatory messages coming in from all directions.

There are three things that the enemies of Nigeria and those still hard-assed against the presidency of Gen Buhari have on ground and have planned last year and are waiting to implement between now and Friday May 29, 2015 to prevent retired Gen Muhammadu Buhari and Prof Yemi Osinbajo from being sworn in as president and vice-president respectively. It's not over until it is over. There are sinister plans and malevolent devices afoot by the agents of darkness and harbingers of wraith in our fatherland. These are not conspiracy theories. They are real and if Nigerians, the APC and President-elect Buhari dismiss these warnings with a wave of the hand, we will all live to regret it.

While briefing journalists during the British sterling monetary crisis in 1964, Prime Minister Harold Wilson of Great Britain said: "A week is a long time in politics." I bet Nigerians that 60 days (between now and May 29, 2015) is more like eternity.

I will now state step-by-step the three plans or what I refer to as Option A, B and C in stopping a Buhari Presidency at all costs. The first Option has just passed, after the satanic agents toyed with the incendiary idea of banning Buhari from contesting the presidency through the judicial process failed. Actually, the judge(s) that were enlisted for the dirty job backed out citing the equally incendiary backlash that would accompany the idea against the backdrop of the fire of change hurricane burning across the length and breadth of Nigeria. The hawkish forces and their retired backers pushed forcefully for this option, but the dovish forces canvassed for the electioneering fixing option.

All the political plans failed in spite of the election fixing plans forcing Jonathan to become well-mannered. Jonathan demonstrated to the whole world he's a democrat and a well-behaved and civilized man when he called the president-elect to congratulate him on his election victory. We all hailed him and even sympathized with him as a good man and a jolly good fellow for conceding so quickly. "He's such an honorable man and very civilized," many of us said.

Nigerians, please do not be deceived. In Genesis 6: 5 we are told: "The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time." The man who fought and gave all he had to retain his seat throughout the electioneering campaign; went to all the cults in the land and sought the voodoo merchants of the world to retain his seat three months ago has suddenly become soothingly mollified in less than 24 hours?

There is more that is taking place beyond the public glare which the Lord God Almighty knows, because before Him all activities of human beings are laid bare. Hear what the Lord God Almighty told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 17: 9; "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?" (NLT). But only the Sovereign Lord of the heavens and the earth and the Creator of all things, including human beings knows the human heart and chooses to unearth and reveal it to His children.

President Goodluck Jonathan must have conceded defeat and congratulated President-elect Muhammadu Buhari, but only 10 percent of his body is in Otuoke; 80 percent of his spirit and body are inside Aso Rock. Powerful Satanic forces have told him he should and will not live Aso Rock and this brings us to Option B as revealed to us by the Holy Spirit of the True Lord God Almighty.

As I am writing this in my home office here in Chicago under the dictate of the Holy Spirit as I plan to proceed on my annual vacation, a search is on for a woman or a young boy as a suicide bomber to penetrate the home and offices of the President-elect Buhari and blow himself-herself up and kill President-elect Muhammadu Buhari. If the president-elect dies before Friday May 29, 2015 without being sworn-in, there is going to be a constitutional crisis. What does the constitution say about the swearing in of a vice president-elect whose principal, the president-elect hasn't been sworn in? Can Prof Yemi Osinbajo be sworn in in the place of a dead (God forbid) president-elect Muhammadu Buhari?

These are the crises we will have on our hands and such crises will not be readily and immediately resolved in 60 days. In the alternative, President Jonathan may be forced to continue in office until another election is held. That was why he conceded quickly to endear himself into the hearts of Nigerians now, who will not mind putting up with him for more years against the backdrop of the emergency situation that will arise., but about to be created by these malevolent forces.

These evil plots are real and I don't disclose them lightly. The Nigerian Constitution is clear: Gen Muhammadu Buhari is just a president-elect; he hasn't been sworn in yet as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and so his vice president cannot take-over from him either in the event of him being killed (God forbid). In such a horrible, dreadful and national tragic scenario, we are back to square one and the status quo.

Here is my advice: President-elect Muhammadu Buhari should overhaul his current security paraphernalia now and immediately. His access to all and sundry should be extremely minimized. If a suicide bomber cannot be found, a deranged gun man or woman whose family will be promised mouth-watering amount of money is being sourced as I am writing this through the dictate of the Holy Spirit to pull a trigger and shoot our president-elect. It is not right to turn our future First Lady, Aisha Buhari into a widow because of politics, but these forces are deadly and mean. This is real war, folks. I am not making all these things up. President-elect Muhammadu Buhari is a retired soldier and an army general so he should know what to do. Enough said on this.

The last Option which is Option C has been used in the past and it worked. The forces of darkness are about to wield it but it will fail if President-elect Buhari takes it seriously and act as revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. During this Transition Period between now and Friday May 29, 2015 culminating in the swearing-in and inauguration, President-elect Buhari will of necessity be invited to Aso Rock to meet with the outgoing President Jonathan as it is normal in administrative and political change of guards. The Holy Spirit showed me what is afoot to knock President-elect Buhari off; he should not drink tea or anything, not even drink water when he is invited into Aso Rock Villa between now and Inauguration Day, Friday May 29, 2015. If it is possible, I will advise President-elect Muhamadu Buhari to allow his foot soldiers and future administration officials only to serve in the Transition Team without him going to Aso Rock for now. In fact, my honest and candid advice to President-elect Muhammadu Buhari is to steer clear of that Villa between now and his inauguration day on Friday May 29, 2015 if it is possible.

The Lord God Almighty showed me the incident of the tea that was given to the late Chief MKO Abiola which killed him on July 08, 1998 a month after the death of Gen Sani Abacha. I could not pass the message out to his family members, because I too was incarcerated at the dreaded Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI), Apapa, Lagos by late Sani Abacha. The only person I could share it with tangentially was Uncle Olabiyi Durojaiye, who later became a senator after the death of Sani Abacha. Uncle Biyi had asked me if Chief MKO Abiola would eventually become president following the death of Sani Abacha on June 08, 1998 and I told Chief Durojaiye that Chief MKO Abiola would not become president and he was likely to be killed by poison in 1998. That machinery has been activated right now as Option C by the extant satanic forces and demonic agents holding Nigeria hostage that the Lord God Almighty wants to use Buhari and Osinbajo to dislodge.

In fact, Outgoing President Jonathan himself may not be aware of the presence of these fifth columnists inside Aso Rock. There are several things in the offing in Nigeria this year, including many known and popular Nigerians that will die. I will not delve into all that right now as the Holy Spirit has revealed to me, but some of these monumental events that are in the offing had been disclosed in my Predictions and Prophecies for 2015 which I released last year December.

But these Satanic plans are the immediate ones that should engage the attention of the President-elect right now. Our future First Lady, Aisha Buhari should step up the plate right now and take personal charge of what the President-elect eats from now till inauguration day on Friday May 29, 2015.

I have discharged my duty as a true man of God. I pray that Peace be unto Nigerians and the Lord God Almighty will bless our President-elect and vice-president elect including their immediate family members and the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

PoliticsRe: Hoodlums Attacks Osun Kings And Destroy Palace Cars And Buildings by dayodare490: 3:00am On Apr 03, 2015
kindas:
HOODLUMS, who claimed to be celebrating the victory of Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) in Osun State, on Wednesday night attacked the palace of the Alaagba of Aagba, Oba Rufus Ogunwole.
Aagba is in the Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State and Oba Ogunwole was suspected to be a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in the area.
The attackers vandalised the palace building and vehicles parked within the premises.
Palace sources told our correspondent that the hoodlums, operating under the name “Odo Oru”, literally meaning “night youths”, carted away a crown, beaded walking sticks and other paraphernalia of office of the Alaagba.
Ogunwole was also said to have escaped death by the whiskers.
The monarch told our correspondent on Thursday that his attackers were after his life because they believed that he was sympathetic to the PDP.
He said, “They have been terrorising people since. Some people in the town assembled the youths but they no longer have control over them again.
“They have spread their tentacles to other communities. They attacked the palace because they believe I am still a member of the PDP. I was a member of the PDP before I became the Alaagba but I don’t belong to any political party now.”
He confirmed that eight vehicles were vandalised while parts of the palace were also destroyed by the attackers.
Armed security personnel have however been deployed in the town.
Houses of some chiefs in the community, including the residence of Eesa of Aagba, Chief James Bamigbola, were also attacked and the chief’s car was also vandalised.
A resident of the town, who identified himself as Oluseye Aborisade, told our correspondent that the monarch was attacked because he was suspected to be a leader of the PDP.
Aborisade said, “The gang known as Odo Oru has been terrorising the community for quite some time now. They believe that since Buhari has won every member of the PDP must be dealt with.
“They said that they would kill and nothing would happen. Did we kill any of them when President Goodluck Jonathan won in 2011?”
However, another resident of the town, who pleaded not to be named, told our correspondent that the violence had nothing to do with politics. He said it was a chieftaincy crisis, which, he said, started since 2009.
The Commissioner of Police in charge of election in Osun State, Mr. Sam Okaula, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with our correspondent.
Okaula said that 10 suspects had been arrested in connection with the violence and that they would be charged to court if found culpable.
“I have information like that. Our men have arrested 10 suspects in connection with the crisis. Ten suspects are in our cell now. The CID is investigating the matter to see the roles they played in the crisis,” the CP said. Why would they collect that kind of big money from president without carrying out the purpose the money paid for? They deserve death for playing fast on the President of the most populous black nation.

I hate general Muhammadu Buhari,i just dont know why. Intensely. This feeling developed in 1984. First, his non-smiling visage including that of Tunde Idiagbon, his late deputy, evoked no warmth. The apocryphal story that they wear permanent scowls because there was nothing cheerful about Nigeria’s situation at a period when South West Nigeria, encompassing his official abode, madeAlawadaBaba Salathe highest rated comedy show was paradoxical to me then.I was especially livid athis War Against Indiscipline (WAI)dictum mandating Nigerians to queue for virtually everything in a country where lawlessness is deified as wisdom. I scoffed at his directive’s impracticality against the odious rat race in Nigeria, especially in Lagos. Personally, my timely arrival at all destinations is guaranteed with a good meal for balanced legs, firmly tucking my handbag under my armpits to escapeHoudini-inspired pickpockets, energetically elbowing other jostling prospective bus passengers and hopping, banana jump-style onto a movingMoluebus. And I’m good. But the orientation worked. Apart from queuing, archetypal stubborn Nigerians became excellent examples of WAI-themed orderliness and discipline in thought, behaviour and expectation through eschewing all forms ofindiscipline.Thirty-one years ago, Buhari foresaw that leaders’ abilityto effectively lead is always dependent on the quality of followership behind him whichIndisciplineobstructs in Nigeria.
