Lol....... Have seen a lot of good people on here with great passion and vision for the NA however My humble advice is to shield our hearts from negative energy and *faulty presumptions* ......
Once *your doubts* is fertilized by negative comments and hearsay,it's possible that the prayers wont be effective.....
Make the right move but above all Trust the right person(God).... I'll keep the remaining ....See you in kaduna in due time....
Cheers..... |

Dammysmart: Sir, I salute your writing prowess and when i see a fellow writer i acknowledge them. Having said the lines of the above it is evident that you have researched and thus informed. I really wish such can be communicated with the apt departments and notwithstanding the Presidency. It is however disheartening that such brilliant idea might never leave this tribune, so Unfortunate!
I am on the SSC train and I personally believe I have a whole lot to contribute and change in the Army (If selected), this is my second attempt but if not chosen I'd keep applying till age runs out on me.
Adios! Now this is awesome, if people with the burden of reformation and transformation; men who are agents of change do not step in then the story would definitely not change....This is why everyone going into the military must be willing to contribute his own quota(positive) and not hide under the canopy of *if we can't beat them,we join them* as this will keep compounding issues in the NA....The painful thing is how many would keep their convictions even after they have been commissioned ? However, wisdom must be the bedrock of our operations..... Victory is from God alone |

gargoyle: The Nigerian armed forces and their lack of special operators and covert ops units. My thoughts:
I have often wondered:
Do we really have special forces personnel on the Nigerian Armed Forces?
Every serious military should as we are in an age of wars left and right
I'm not talking about the pretenders we keep calling special forces soldiers ooo but real special forces soldiers that have undergone harsh training for at least 2 years in various aspects of warfare; both conventional and unconventional suited to specific mission purposes.
The US has at least 8 different types of Special operative soldiers in their Special Operations command that can be called up for various missions. E.g.
The Delta Force Unit
The Navy Seals of which Seal Team Six is the most elite unit of all seal team units.
The Green Berets
The 75th Ranger Regiment
The USAF special forces Paratroopers
The Marine Raiders
The Marine Force Recon
The Night stalkers (Special flight forces)
The CIA Special Activities Division (aka CIA Special Operations Group): They are the best of the best and their activities are very very very very very very very top secret. They are made of the best Special forces soldiers selected from the above spec-ops unit and trained again for at least 9 months. Some of them are so good that they are called out of retirement.
These are the ones I can remember right off my memory. Trust me, I didn't even need to check the internet for these units again because I have studied and read about them for at least 8yrs (no jokes). Many of these units have a rich history some of them dating back to WW2.
Now some of you are bragging here about how those that didn't want to die chickened out and I hear stupid statements like "Khaki work no easy", " they no get liver" and other stupid shit. They prolly realised that the NA doesn't care for its personnel in the battle ground and leaves them with 1950s and 1960s equipment to fight a well funded and internationally backed terrorist group with better equipment and armor. Nobody wants to die for such a military that withholds benefits from the families of the fallen soldiers.
Now don't get me wrong, I wasn't one of those who ran away from training. Even with my BS and MS degrees at age 24, I wasn't selected after applying for SSC multiple times at different years. However, I think it was God at work because looking back now, I don't think I can be truly patriotic for a poorly underfunded military like Nigeria's whose generals have since sold their souls to Lucifer (ISWAP) for money.
Now back to my little essay:
These elite units are highly funded with air support and drones and with the latest weaponry and kits and they aren't owed allowances neither are they secretly buried after they are KIA. In fact, its rare for the US to loose so many Spec ops soldiers in one day like the NA does.
This led me to the following conclusions:
The Nigerian Military has ill-trained soldiers whose only ability is foolish slogans like "Morale high" and "Kawai".
The Nigerian Military has no Spec-Op units. Taking selected men to trained for 6 months in a funny country like Serbia doesn't make them special operators. Average time for Spec-Op training in the US is 2 yrs after which each operator undergoes specialized training ranging from 6months -2 yrs depending on special skills to be learnt (e.g signals and common, Medical, etc).
The Nigerian Military is a Joke and has been reduced to Chicken shit no thanks to bad leaders. This raises another question: Does the Nigerian Military give out awards for bravery displayed in the line of duty to soldiers that go above and beyond in the face of enemy fire. This raises the morale of soldiers and their respective units. The awards are doled out posthumously too and the US regularly gives out wards for bravery to both living or dead soldiers. E.g.
Congressional Medal of Honor
The Distinguished service cross
The Navy Cross
The Air force cross
The Silver star
The Bronze star
The purple Heart
Read this https://themedalofhonor.com/medal-of-honor-recipients
Etc
But here is a country whose tales of gallantry displayed by soldiers against the terrorist are unknown. Please if you know if such tales, kindly tell them here as it will raise the morale of those going to the battle field.
I have now reels out what's been eating me about our military. You guys should feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and constructive criticisms etc.
Gos bless Nigeria and good luck to those who have applied and those fighting or going to fight in the North-East. Man!!!!!you are good.....your intellect and communicative prowess is amazing!!!!!! Salute |

MrSuama: I left the group last year but I will try and make contacts. It will interest you to know that the group had three arms, namely A. Gallant Officers Forum B. Council of elders(comprising of all the admins, whose duties were adding of new members and court-martialing of erring members just to mention but a few) C. Guardroom ( erring members are removed from the main forum and placed in the guard room until council of elders see signs of remorse and probably an apology) It will surprise you that almost all erring members that made the guardroom at one time or the other are all commissioned officers today. But me the ever dedicated admin is still applying, irony of life. Lol!!!! Such humour!!!!you are a great man Meanwhile do you wanna make the list ? Its simple------> Start seeing your name in the list...we eventually become what we perceive(believe) |

Benediktejike: Sooo, i bought my phone around early june. Samsung a30 of course. I had the option of choosing either the rn7 or a30, but becos i am a fan of earpiece and samsung's screen, i went for a30. Mind u, i was still following up on the xiaoki thread, and they were saying pretty good things about the phone. Last month, my younger sister had like 68k to get a phone, so I advised her to go for rn7, since she wasnt a fan of earpiece. She bought it. Later, she started complaining about 2 things; her battery and the front camera. I thought it was normal, not until i went home. I tried her front camera and it was terrible. Using it for video call is even worse. She charges her phone almost everytime cos the battery would not last. I compared her front camera to mine in low light and my own was more impressive, even when i know it isnt great (without the screen flash, of course). I charge my phone in the morning and it could last for about 11hrs but hers isnt up to that. Before getting this phone (a30), i still felt i wanted the rn7 alongside. But after her own experience, i dont think i would want to get the phone. Wawuuu!!!! Has dere been any lag?? |

krattoss: had same problem on a factory default phone.
If its within 1 week u bought it the problem developed, you are entitled to a new phone for replacement.
But if its past a week or 2..then the repair will be subsidized by the company in collaboration with the outlet you bought it..but be sure you will cough out some cash from your pocket.
Dont forget the reset and accessories when goif eith you .and lastly be polite and transparent on what transpired between you and the phone.
Goodluck Hows ur user experience on the A30 so far ?? |

Even if i have been on this thread for a while now this eould be my first time of applying; there are certain things i would like to adress with 3 major subtitles "The race is not for the swift", "God keepeth his own" and "Help cometh ONLY from God"
I do not intend speaking on the above headings but would like us to muse upon them; no matter what is going on the army presently u can "go in" with your own mindset (as long as u r sure God is sending you there) such that everything works in your favour else you woulf have allowed negative seeds to germinate in your heart and hence control your entire being.....
What is for you can only elude you if you are ignorant of it....... Your life is not in any man's hand....No!!!!!! Dear gallant men brace up and believe that *all things are working for your good".....
I"ll see you in jaji very soon...... |
