Nigerians need help, but we actually don't want it. Why? We are very forgetful once there is a little ease, and cry once things move the other way. We are like the children of Israel in the Bible.
Exodus 14:11-12 They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?
Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!” |

COMPAQ: You are actually the one that doesn't understand basic economics! The denomination has little to do with inflation.
Buhari printing N22trln of ways and means did 100 times more damage than having N10,000 note will ever do.
Operating a N20trln deficit does more damage to inflation than the value of your denomination will ever do.
The critical thing CBN needs to do is to ensure that if they print 1 million notes of N10,000 bills, which is N10bln in value, they have to remove equivalent value in lower denominations from the market so that money supply remaiins the same.
Manyfacturers do not increase prices because of the level of denomination.
If Milo is N100, it remains N100.
That gist of the denomination will increase inflation is actually the beer parlour gist Bro. When it comes to Nigeria, it is never a beer parlour gist. Why? The regulatory body hardly follow-up on their duties in this nation. Good example: ever since prices of edibles don go up, I observed something which is = Increase is price, decrease in quantity and quality. Then the question is why increase the price when you know that you will reduce quality and quantity. Let them bury the idea of higher denominations |

Onegai: advanceDNA
I live abroad for over a decade or 2. And my teaching methods are based on their methods abroad because ours isn't great.
We produce crammers and then an occasional brilliant child. This becomes more pronounced when our kids grow up and go abroad to school. Sure, you'll hear about one Nigerian superstar kid doing feats here and there, but that is like holding up a picture of Tobi Amusan and proudly declaring that Nigeria is a great sporting nation with many medals and trophies.
Jumping any class in Elementary/Primary school is like amputating Kelechi Iheanacho's left leg, giving him a prosthetic and then telling him to run like Mbappe.
And the worst classes to double-promote/jump is Pry 1-4. I can wave jumping Pry 6 but if the child is below 10, please do it.
Those classes are the foundation of Primary school and Primary school is the foundation of Secondary school and Secondary school is the bedrock upon which University is built.
Kids who don't learn how to read well in Primary school become adults who write terrible essays (which is why GRE/GMAT/TOEFL is killing us here).
Kids who are scared of Math become the average Nigerian, poor at Logic.
Nigerians teach Math and Science and Literacy in Abstraction (all theory). I sit with my children and teach them Math that they can hold in their hands (we learn Math physically), Science that they can see everyday (I have primary schoolkids using litmus papers and tuning forks, we just did an experiment to learn Contact Friction) and Literacy that is usable and functional yet beautiful.
Seriously, I've had parents open up their car engines so I can have their kids count the number of pulleys, when teaching Belt and Pulley systems (Physics). And the kids were 6 yr olds. My 10 yr old does long Division faster than a minute, my 8yr old can explain how gear ratios work, rack and pinion gears, how triangles are the strongest shape in construction for load bearing, I have a 5 yr old student who will run around you shouting that he is recreating the orbit of a planet.
That's Astronomy, Physics, Mechanical and Civil Engineering, right there. I don't want my students showing up in University with everything looking like "oyinbo magic", because they weren't taught right from Primary school.
And I would love more kids to show up and learn like this. Instead of what we're doing now...which is cramming and passing.
I want Nigerian kids to know what their peers in China, USA and UK know. Oil dey your head. We Nigerians should migrate far away from: "La cram, la pour." All that you mentioned above should give any kid a very strong foundation to build on, except otherwise. |

DeLaRue: So why do you think she should not have been made a pastor after going through the laid down training process, which many of today's Pastors don't even have the patience to go through. "pastor" is not a formal title in the Bible but a description of a role or gift, derived from the word for "shepherd," which describes the function of feeding, caring for, and leading a spiritual flock, similar to elders and bishops. While the New Testament uses the term "pastor" to convey the responsibility of guiding a congregation, it generally advises against religious titles that elevate individuals, emphasizing instead that all believers are brothers and sisters in Christ. Romans 12:13 Going through that training does not earn you the "Office" of a Pastor. If you a called to the office, then you should be trained and ordained, and not the other way round. |

According to you, someone that went to bible college, and attended School of Disciples, then became a deaconess, and assistant pastor, is not fit to be a pastor
Majority of pastors in Nigeria today have not even stepped foot in a bible college, yet this woman did, yet you still find fault. Going to Bible College is to enlighten you on the word of God. That should not be the reason one would be called into the office of a pastor. Things have been mixed up today Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; |

eazzzy1: People are different. Some people will speak their minds when angry and the next minute they apologize and are back to their sweet self. Some other people won’t say a word to you for weeks and sometimes the relationship breaks down from it.
I don’t think one trait in a person is a good judge of whether to run or stay. Analyze your partner, weigh the pros and the cons and decide which outweighs the other.
Being mouthy is not a good predictor of future domestic violence. In my opinion, quiet folks are more likely to express themselves physically than the ones who use their mouths. Of course, walk away if you can’t take the insult. Prioritize your mental health. Believe this Bro. You can speak your mind without actually insulting the other person. These are two different things. As for the women, they hardly forget heavy-duty words used against them in an intense moment. She will keep reminding you: " You remember that was how you called me shepopotamus the other day." But she won't remind you that she tagged you stupid goat first. If you are reading this, be free to speak your mind, but ensure you don't insult the other person. |

Imagine someone that has the patience to take care of them for 10 years, is it now that ALL OF THEM are supposed to take care of her that she will just run away, SHE MUST have found out that they're UNREASONABLE AND MAYBE DANGEROUS TOO.
