Romance / Re: Do You Have Nightmares by Dbeautyy(m): 12:01pm On Sep 19, 2023
Samantha124:
Funny enough, since last week I've been having these weird dreams of me singing to people in distress... When I wake up, It'd be like I'm feeling their pain... It's like I exchanged my peace with their pain and this sometimes makes me moody during mornings.

Last night I dreamed of this old man who seemed to be in his 60s, he had abandoned his daughter from infancy and she was now in her 40s... The old man wanted to make amends with his daughter, but she wanted nothing to do with him... He then started singing and not long, I joined him... Before I knew it, I took over the song and started singing in a very high pitch to the daughter.

We were in what seemed like a restaurant.

Then I woke up.

If you check my Moniker, you will notice that the last time I checked in here, or even make a comment here was three years ago. I had to do this because of your comment. Please this is an advice from me to you. Sit down and consider your life properly , I perceive that DESTINY is Calling you. Once again make a time to Find who you truly are is destiny, then you can harness that potential. Peace!

The one I won't appreciate is giving me flowers and dolls. One gave me a stuffed lion once and I used it for pillow. cheesy How can you give me a stuffed animal in this heat when na commando we dey sleep. grin

Sadly though, many young ladies in this generation are terribly materialistic. I belong to the generation of love letter writing and "if so, doxology," and as I am very old fashioned, I recognise that some things have more lasting value than others. Money, gifts and material possessions are good, but they cannot buy you sincere love and happiness.

However, it is not an excuse for men to swallow the spirit of poverty of their father's house. angry

I really appreciate this comment. I was listening to Rev. Olusola Areogun some years back, he made mention of something very funny. He said, his wife was going thru her old stuffs one day while he stumbled into the room, and the woman was trying to keep something away from him, and he was like woman can I know what is it you're keeping? Guess what, she kept all those love letters Baba wrote years back in her box. Marriage of over 3 decades

Likewise, I was listening to Arch. Bishop Duncan William two years ago, and he mentioned about himself give her wife a surprise birthday and the beach side during the evening. Even though the wife told him she doesn't want any gift for the birthday, but he went as far as inviting a few friends of her's without informing her and there after placed a call to the beach people to set a tent, good table and some other things in place. He said the wife was marvelled when he took her there without any prior awareness. Things like this goes a long way. I heard him one day talking about some funny good stuffs, and I was like hmm! Baaabaoo

I heard Bishop David Oyedepo sometimes ago as well, he said '' I still send my wife good love messages.'' Text/paper

Above all, money is good, but money won't do all for you. There are things you have to be deliberate about. So many rich broken homes because they keep chasing money with the quote '' @least I'm trying my best to provide you an the kids with everything, what else do you want?"

And for the instruments, I will advise to port to Violin, it does magic to the heart/soul/spirit. cheesy

Honourable talk and do, na boarding school you go? Cos what you did to your friend made me remember those days in boarding school. Na water we dey use do our own, you go wake up the next day thinking u don wewe for bed. grin

Likewise, you can go to bed with your boxer, then wake up the next day naked like Adam in the garden. cheesy

The way you intertwined our local dialect with the oyinbo really got me hooked.
And as for Mr Jason Oduah, can you please send that man on an exile?
And as for Tinu, abeg reason a matter well na before me and you go enter the same sokoto.

Thanks for the updates . cheesy

I disagree totally. The present generation of youth in Nigeria will sell Nigeria within a month of grabbing power. Oju tí fẹ, Ẹnu ti fẹ́. Infact everything is so wrong with us

Yeah, because corruption is the standard they met, those who were to keep or who were to holdforth the right standard and then pass it to the next generation choose to keep doing the wrong. I wonder what standard kids born in twenty years time will meet. Don't be surprised if present day parent rebuke you from tongue lashing those corrupt leaders. Some of those parent will say... '' Pray make you get there, and then you self will chop your own clean mouth.'' If a parent says that, then you know it is finished. @ the bolded,I spoke from experience based on what I've heard and seen.

Romance / Re: Guys! Why Get Married, When You Can Do This Instead.. by Dbeautyy(m): 6:22pm On Jul 02, 2020
RaptObserver:
You are a boy... Until you grow up, don't talk about having children. You will not know you are suffering until when you marry a decent woman who knows how to manage a home and resources. That is the kind of woman you need as a companion, then if children come, fine. If children don't come, fine. Life is not all about having children. Marriage is a necessity for every human being who wants to live happily. Though I know it comes with its challenges but so does being single. Being alive means we must face problems. But I ask the op, if a man tries that with his sister will he agree? Some ladies will even take in and refuse to give you the child because you have not done the needful. Some will even hide the pregnancy from you and keep the baby. Boy you need to grow up.

@ the bolded, it is not. But if and only if it will, there are some investment you will have to put in.
a) what you invest
b) how you invest
c) when you invest
d) all of the above should be taken serious by the two people involved in the relationship, then you will greatly enjoy the dividend of those investments. Aside that, it may be hell for either of them. Soon such case...
Happiness can be attached to alot of stuffs, but JOY is not attached to such. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying marriage is bad.

Family / Re: Why Do Most Father's Receive Less From Their Children by Dbeautyy(m): 5:54pm On Jun 21, 2020
Actually, this depends on background sometimes. As a kid, I studied my parents very well, I picked from them what I felt was right and discarded those stuffs that I felt weren't okay. From my observation. When papa get 60, mama go get 40 reason been that out of the 60 that papa received, he will still give mama so I will rather let his be higher cos I know he won't be selfish with it.
As a man, I will advice that you seek financial liberty early in life. Not just for the pleasure attached, but that you may have time for your kids as well. Invest in a working system which keeps rolling in something good for you.
That son of yours needs a A Real Father Figure. You should be his 1st role model, not one Nollywood man out there. If you someone who observes very well, you will realize that most of our parents don't really have a good rapport with there father or mother not until they have settled down and that was what there own parent also experienced. By then, what role do they really wanna play again? They hardly could relate with there parents early in life, and that thread seems to still be ravaging this generation. You and I can cut it off by putting things in place early, else the cycle continues.

Bunch of thieves, was this not one of the reasons you people told us that the boarder has to be shut down? So where are they smuggling the stuff to?
Why not open up the boarder then, and let good stuffs flow in as the fuel flows out? Then we know that at least the mass will enjoy the good stuff flowing in rather than let some set of thieves keep enjoying... it's not fair
