I guess your application was not packaged well. With Mpower loan letter alone and 1.2mil in savings I have seen people getting visa

Hmm, I think so. I need someone to help me look over the documents we shared.

A Graduate Diploma or just a normal one?
Peacespiece:

Reapply,I got refused too and i reapplied and got it, i am currenetly doing diploma after doing BSc in nigeria, in a completely different field.
In your explaination letter emphasize on some of these things

Your travel to Canada may be considered non-discretionary as a student if

you already live in Canada
you need to be in Canada for your program (for laboratory work, workshops, or similar)
your school isn’t offering online study options
you can’t study online from your home country because of internet restrictions or bandwidth limitations (Nigeria internet is bad and we have Nepa issues)
you can’t participate in live online classes from your home country because of the difference in time zones ( like in my class i have some people tha have difficulties with doing group assignment because of time difference. some people even have up to 12 hours time difference makes schooling difficult online for them)

use this link to check for more information https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/students.html

But if you have ever volunteered anywhere an orphanage home, a school, a church even if she did not get paid, you can add it in a resume and submit as proof of employability, volunteering is a big deal here. Basically compose a good explaination letter add a sponsor as well if you can, the video below will help alot.

LOL, thank you for sharing your experience. I'll send an email to you now.

Sure you and i haven't gotten the same sister?? LOL.
Well, applied on my sister's behalf who got a B.A in Linguistics and has been working for about 4 years now, owns land property and got straight refusal.
Awaiting the GCSM notes but i began seeing some blunders when i had already submitted the application but said ''Man na Man''
She had a third class so couldn't go in for a MSC and we decided to switch to a Diploma in Journalism since they are two correlated fields and was well elucidated on her LOE and how it would impact her, career progression but all went in vein.

Go for a progression. Can't have a B.A and go for a Diploma please. How old is she ??
There is no formular in sponsorship but makes sure it's either Mum or Dad or a study loan (best preferred).
If it's a third party (Uncle, in law...) have the money transferred to her account and get a LOS from them.
Hope we can work together, i do plan to appeal for her
Thanks.

Wow, congrats.

My sis also wants to apply for an early childhood diploma offered by Bow valley college, although her BA is in linguistics. But she's been teaching for 4 years. Posts from here have advised against Diplomas due to past cases but your story is giving us hope. Thanks for sharing

I agree, having too many family ties to Canada especially with siblings might make the VO think you're more likely to stay back.

Osemigho:

For student visa process? I’m not sure about that. I think it will make visa officers to raise eyebrows, particularly if the sibling is the sponsor. I will just mention the person in family form as living in Canada. Beyond this, I may just silent the person. I have only speculated sha.

Hi Guys,

Would you suggest this as a good program for my sis who asked the early childhood diploma question earlier? https://werklund(dot)ucalgary(dot)ca/undergraduate-programs/future-students/pathways-and-admissions/two-year-campus-bachelor-education
It. This program offered by UniCal is for graduates who want to pivot into teaching, although it's an undergraduate degree (B.Ed) at the end of the program. From past experiences do you think it would raise questions from the VO? since my sis is a mature adult doing another "undergraduate" degree?

All responses are appreciated.
