Wickedfact:
Last election, upon all the noise you people made, Atiku and Obi could only produce 7 votes in their candidate's ward.

Go and negotiate groundnut abeg.
Which one is last election?

The one Wike was moving around Abuja?
The one police were collecting ballot boxes in some places?
The one we were seeing mutilated EC8 forms?
The one that still doesn't have complete upload on IREV till today?

Is that the one you are calling election?

Shame no dey catch you.

Even an election to elect Lion as king of the animal kingdom was better than what they did in FCT last week.

Wike; How can anybody say that want to continue from where Buhari stopped?

The only antidote for such arrogant, mindless, and irresponsible comments from crooked old politicians is electronic voting and real time electronic transmission of results.

If we had this, no politician would come out and say such things.

Eda, so it's the NSA's duty to start proving he indeed tapped the phone and wasn't joking about it or not, right?grin
Please go to the court and take over his case from his attorneys since you seem to know more🤣
Just tell them that, just like you, your client was under some family curse and jinx and that was what made him say such a damaging thing on a live interview. If he himself knew he didn't make any mistake or did anything wrong, why then was he and his son trying really hard to correct the mistake in a damage control manner hours later?🤣
In my over 200 years of existence, this is the first time I would be hearing that a VOLUNTARY confession is not enough ground to convict a criminal coming from a Obi's supporter obviously🤣. Naanu surely knows his audience.
Dude is blessed with people whose thinkings need to be studied and I'm sure if the research is taken seriously, the breakthrough discovery of the root cause of pathological in_saneety and hut-ism would surely be made.
Pesin talk say he tap my call and even went on to describe everything I said in the conversation and was later arrested, then one Nairaland's resident lawyer is here claiming I must provide evidence that my phone was truly tapped before the court can nail the one who willingly claimed he was responsible and even got what I discussed on the phone correctly
Like, I SINCERELY hope this is not how you reason irl🤣 I sincerely hope so!
If your laughable verdict is allowed to be the norm, it means whenever a terror group claims responsibility for an attack/killings, the Government should first investigate their claims to know if the events happened or not and if it did truly happen, the government should work further to establish if they were truly the ones responsible with the aim of proving their innocence or involvement before convicting or killing them since we can't unjustly assume they are truly responsible just because of a [b]mere oral confessional statement😂
Una get doings for this forum o.
Do you now realize how comedic that sounds?
Dear muteturu, on the contrary, El Rufai (the person who claimed/alleged) should be the one saddled with the responsibility of refuting his claims and revealing how he got those Intels if it wasn't through his earlier phone-tapping means claim.
He should be the one proving his own innocence because why should your prosecutors be the ones to prove your innocence? What kind of law is that?😂
Finally, about your last paragraph, I don't rate the NSA himself and his inability to safeguard himself from cyber attacks is not my business and me stating facts shouldn't be misconstrued for supporting him (I'm not you, I don't support ppl blindly)
Yes, he's incompetent, if that's what you want to hear, we will discuss that later😂 the discussion now is about Mr El Rufai's silly mistake and what the law says about it.
You are now being ignored, emergency lover of El Rufai, the same man you once called a Christian-killer😂
This thing is not this complicated na!
Haba!

Obviously you are not a lawyer, if you were, you would have said so.

Find a good lawyer around you and get some knowledge!!

ANY CONFESSION OR STATEMENT I MAKE WHEN I AM NOT UNDER INTERROGATION BY THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CAN AID INVESTIGATION BUT CAN NEVER BE USED SOLELY AS EVIDENCE FOR MY CONVICTION.

The prosecutor would call me for investigation and ask me that question again. If I insist on what I said under investigation, then it is used against me.

But if I deny the statement or I say I was joking, that doesn't let me off the hook, however the onus then shifts to the prosecutor to provide proof that I actually did it.

What do you think is the reason for the statement upon arrest;
"YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT, ANYTHING YOU SAY HENCEFORTH WOULD BE USED AGAINST YOU"

What do you think this means?😂

It is because they know you have the right to disclam whatever you have said prior to that arrest.
COMMON SENSE!

To summarize;

*El Rufai was on TV saying what he said, he wasn't under interrogation by the law enforcement.
*El Rufai has been invited for interrogation.
If he grandstands and insists on what he said about being an accomplce to tapping the phone, then he is declared guilty.
"But if El Rufai changes his statement and says he was only joking or he was just chasing clout, the police or DSS must now be the ones to provide proof that El Rufai actually did what he claimed he did.
*If NSA are unable to provide such proof, the worst they could charge El Rufai with; is misinformation.
(As long as El Rufai has said he was joking)

If El Rufai didn't actually tap or know anyone who did, a good lawyer would just advise him to say that he was only joking.
CASE DISMISSED.

It's like you love watery beans. Anyway that your cup of tea. Elrufai is now in better position to tell you how far.
In Europe or America where the law works and all systems go,

El Rufai would have been arrested even before his so called confession on National TV.

Yet some d0fus think that an interview on Channels is their evidence.

Why am I not surprised?

They can't even have Intel's to track bandits and kidnappers talkless of detecting when El Rufai bugs their phone.
Politics › Re: Judge Withdraws From El-Rufai’s Case, Proceeds On Leave by ddippset(m): 8:53am On Mar 01
UrVillageChief:
So what if John is truly not alive?😂 Because that's the right analogy since Mr Rufai did get the NSA'S plans to arrest him correctly.
What nonsense are you even trying to defend?
The NSA indeed, planned to arrest him and Rufai's revelation of their planned arrest shows he truly had the Intels and not a mere bluff but an intelligent person would have claimed that he got the Intel through someone working in the NSA'S office rather than saying he employed people bugging his phone conversations. The fact that he got their plans correctly validates his phone-tapping claims, so what exactly are you on about?
So you want the government to start acting as his defense attorney saddled with the responsibility of establishing his innocence? Where is it done that way? How old are you epka? 🤣
More croakings of f00lishness like a toad on heat!

If the NSA knew his phone was tapped then why didn't he raise the alarm before the NSA's interview?
Oohh the NSA wasn't aware! 😁

Community sense would tell you that the NSA's phone wasn't tapped or worst case scenario he is to incompetent to detect his phone was tapped so he had to wait for a confession on National TVhuh

Anyway malu,, the point is that if the NSA's phone wasn't tapped, a confession on national TV is never enough to nail him especially if his lawyers advice him to just say he was joking.

The incompetent and unaware NSA needs to take proof to the courts that his phone was actually tapped.

I pray you are able to process this basic logic, which I admit might also be an uphill task for you.

Okay o Senior Advocate, please first thing tomorrow morning, go to the nearest police station and claim you are the one responsible for the killings and kidnappings happening in your area, don't worry ehn? Our ever gallant and hardworking police officers would start working hard to prove your innocence since you dey kolo na why you talk an but don't worry, the Nigerian court will be the one to painstakingly work to prove your innocence and to shame that demon that forced you to say such an atrocious thing🤣🤣🤣
They would understand that it's a case between you and your demon and would be siding with you to shame the demon🤣
It would have been an entirely different case if it was the DSS that made the allegations against him or if he had said it while in their custody, one would have easily dismissed it to be false or that he was made to say it under duress. He didn't only stop at claiming to have bugged the phone, he actually got the plans of the NSA'S office to arrest him correctly but you are here yarning mvmv talks and calming he didn't know what he was saying 🤣
Your first paragraph ultimately gave you out as a kid and someone who's obviously naive and I honestly shouldn't be wasting my precious time on you since you appear to be naive and new to Nigeria😂
Was Nnamdi not guilty of inciting violence? Are the proofs not there on videos online? How long was his trial delayed? Even a kindergarten kid knew they had every evidence to nail him (Kanu), yet they still resorted to using series of postponements to frustrate the hell out of him. You must be naive my friend, they are only frustrating him and the delay tactic is working. They would make sure he doesn't participate in the forthcoming elections before deciding what and what to do with him and nobody would claim they are being unfair because they aren't doing anything illegal afterall since they have a solid case at hand and no country jokes with its national security.
If this had happened in the US or Europe, the Secret service would have picked him up right away in that TV studio within minutes. Just pray you don't walk straight into your enemies pit. Mr El Rufai will be wishing that his only case was the Money misappropriation issue with the EFCC and ICPC but national security? Bro, no country takes that lightly.
Rubbish..

Responsible for the killings in my area?

That's like 1000 people and that's a very s1lly context you're providing.

If I say I am responsible for killing John and the police find out John is alive, what could they do to me?

If El Rufai says he tapped the NSA's phone and he later disclaims it,,

It is left for the NEA to provide evidence that his phone was tapped by El Rufai.

And if he fails then El Rufai is not guilty..

Common sense, simple logic!

😂😂😂😂

Very senseless analogy and iam shocked someone even liked.

"Someone was murdered"?

Well in this context no one was murdered because the NSA did not raise any prior alarm that his phone was tapped.

So your analogy is s1lly.

The right analogy currently is this;

No one was murdered yet I come out and say that I murdered someone.
If I later say that I was kidding and the police fails to produce any dead body to support my claim,,

Then they got nothing on me!

Simple analogy,, common sense!

As innn, I used to think this guy El Rufai was a bright soul until this saga. It still feels like he was jinxed or something because why would a man of his caliber not know the implications of that weighty admittance in a period when the country is facing this much security issues?.
Even if the federal government frees him, the Armed forces who have lost hundreds of men to ambushes caused by information leaks can easily sue him as being responsible for the leaks.
Every sane person knows that you can't even bug the mobile phone of an ordinary person but Mr Rufai just had to raise the bar; bro tapped the phone of the country's highest security officer and still had the mind to broadcast the atrocious act himself without being coerced. Bro just walked directly into the hands of his enemies. Him sleepless night go long pass monkey own. One needs to be prayerful, this doesn't seem ordinary.
Nothing like bright soul dia,, stop being biased and sentimental.

If his incarceration till this point was legal, then what is the need of playing hide and seek with the judges?
Just like that judge has returned case file.?

Why not allow due process? Why playing hide and seek?

Try him and let him face the prosecution.
If he is entitled to bail then grant him bail and let the judge stop running.

Also it is common sense that if he claimed to tap the phone of NSA, you cannot hold him unless the NSA is able to present proof that his phone was actually tapped.

If El Rufai claims he was just joking, then CASE IS DEAD ON ARRIVAL!

Even if I claimed to have murdered someone, and I later say I was joking,, no one can jail me unless the prosecutor proves that I actually murdered someone with proof of the dead body.

Tinubu knows this, that's why the judge is running...

It's just political impunity and persecution going on.
