Wike nurtured them, bought their form for all of them, can offer them plenty more, and has connections at the Presidency..

Fubara is a newbie,,, and even if he can offer them anything,it won't be much more than Wike.

Looking at the conditions above, no politician would trade what they already have with Wike, for Fubara!

So it's not about anything other than the loyalty to Wike for putting them in the assembly, his ability to pay them well, and his close ties with Tinubu.

If thats the way you are,not everyone is like that,their are far more loyal people in politics than they are turncoats..... politics especially in our country is patronage based and thats how structures are built and sustained.......why does wike still have that huge loyal followers despite being in direct confrontation with his State gov,what could wike offer them that fubara couldn't 3 times over......ame with tinubu,jow was he able to still maintain that wide network of loyal followers despite not being in govt.......it's not all about money,the character and antecedents of the leader tells alot.

1. Wike once boasted that his budget in FCT is more than Rivers,, so leave that talk!

2. Fubara never had any personal relationship ties to the legislators, he was a civil servant, Wike knows why he didn't allow people like Felix Obuah or Austin Okpara to succeed him.

3. All those following him have read the body language of Tinubu. Tinubu is not Buhari and they know Wike would use Tinubu's power to fight them if they dare.

4. Lastly they know who will be giving them money and they know Fubara will not.

There are levels of political desperation.

Here in Rivers I know many politicians who were brought out of poverty by a certain governor.
He gave them jobs and appointments. They pledged their souls and lives to him.

If you are the type of politician who does projects and empowerment for the general constituents, your ward EXCOS will not be loyal to you.
But if you share money only to the EXCOS they will never renege on you.

People voted for her because she was in labour party, not because they think she has anything to offer.

Wike was voted in as governor in 2015 because Patience Jonathan endorsed him and because Rivers people wanted to protest what they perceived as Amaechis betrayal of Gej, not because they felt Wike had anything to offer.

Any statement you make when you are not under interrogation cannot be used against you once you disown that statement; perhaps say you were just joking/pranking.

That's why an arresting officer would always tell you that you have the right to remain silent until you see your lawyer or until interrogation begins.
