Which of the top political parties no dey rig in Nigeria's electionshuh

The answer is non.

This doesn't invalidate his assertions...either by rigging or not...Ballot boxes are not online...they are at the polling booth. This is his statement and what we are talking about
Absolute g1bberish...

If you brag that there is no ballot box on social media, what it means is that you are able to win your votes at the poliing units across the state and country..

Yes I believe that almost all, if not all of them are involved in vote buying,, so any of them who is involved in paying 20k to buy votes has no moral right to mock anyone for "winning on social media"

That is akin to playing the big fat ostrich.

Are there ballot boxes onlinehuh

The man is saying the truth.

Opposition should go to the grassroots and work.
That same Governor who was handpicked by a Godfather was sharing 20 to 25k on election day.

Yet he is shamelessly opening mouth to say there is no ballot box on social media.

Maybe I agree,, there is no ballot box on social media because the ballot box is inside his babariga.

These cr1m1nal politicians like this malo governor who was himself handpicked by a godfather to become governor would always say "There is no ballot box on social media"
Or
"Elections are not won on social media "

But on election day they go about sharing 20k just to win the same elections..

Whom are they receiving?

A man wants to prove that he is not popular on social media but he is popular in the field but he goes paying 20k to poor indigenses just to buy their votes!

And he goes around bragging about it!

Shameless d0nkeys!

ADC won’t be achieving much obviously. Obi did well by making a point in contesting separately away from PDP 2023 after Atiku bought everything and everyone buyable in that party but after that wonderful outing he was supposed to return to PDP immediately. He already showed them the youths mostly are with him and he’s no baby politician. That way he would have a lot to use against power that be in that party.

If we are going to be honest. The only party that can indeed wrestle power and match APC in everything is definitely PDP. All the so called coalition is just BS no doubt. If they mean we’ll for the country and they are not just looking only after themselves they were all supposed to return to PDP to start with. Wike is a single man in PDP and the only reason he was able to win in 2023 was Atikus greed and the injustice. The south still had a 4 year tenure to complete in PDP and other than that, North shouldn’t be leaving while you are looking to return the North again so Wikes action is well justified.

So like I said earlier, if indeed they are after the good of the people then they ought to know better that only PDP can wrestle power from the APC in today’s Nigeria. Every other thing na just play play.
If Peter Obi could singlehandedly carry LP that far in 2023 then it can happen again.
Trust me Obi still has his movement intact.

The only thing that saved Tinubu in 2023 was Obi and Atiku splitting votes.

Even though I see the coalition scattering,,
But if somehow they pull off a miracle and all support one candidate especially Obi,,

Tinubu won't survive a free and fair one.

It is a lesson to learn that APC still retain the trophy despite noise of bad economy coming from the opposition

It is a lesson that coalition has no grassroot to dislodge APC now and in future election.

It is a lesson that the mantra of Masses verses APC is just a hogwash and the appropriate slogan should have been masses vs coalition.

It is a lesson that the masses are still massively in support of APC regardless what minority like you think.

Get that bro
I don't care about your lessons..

I only care to say that it is not a lesson to say that APC and PDP are still the predominant parties,, there is no lesson in him telling us this.

And pls let's stop playing the ostrich in this fantastically corrupt enclave.

Let's stop pretending we are having elections here when;
1. The President appoints the INEC chairman and consequently all the INEC commissioners.
2. Elections are still highly influenced by the sharing of 5k and 10k on election day.
3. Voters are still being intimidated and chased from polling stations.
4. Glitches are still being experienced at elections.

So spare me the hogwash about voters being interested in APC or about grassroots or flower roots.

Be real, stop kidding yourself.

Many people would like to know the quality of those they are voting for. Serious politicians meet and connect with voters. In 2022, Tinubu was going round the country to meet APC delegates, while one dude sat in his house and sent text messsages to canvass for votes. At the end, the man who met delegates won the votes, while the one who sent text messages won by text messages as he got zero response.

In 2022, some people said they no dey give shi shi. Between 2023 and 2025, he has done more acts of giving shi-shi than he ever did in his politcis. Same man said he didn't need manifesto.

My advise to you is do not campaign. People will vote for you nonetheless.

In your dreams.
To add to what you said, Tinubu was going around the country meeting delegates with a briefcase of dollars and probably trailed by that famous bullion van of his. I just thought you forgot that important detail so I added it for you.

Also in advanced democracies, you can go around doing humanitarian gestures prior to an election but you cannot be sharing 5k at polling units on election day.

I know you understand what he meant by not giving shishi but still choose to play dumb0.

1. APC should realize that the extremely low turn outs were because the people disappointed and frustrated with the ruling party stayed away.

2. Money politics is still on the rise, despite INEC and Police promising to curb it.

3. The ruling party still controls INEC, something any serious democratic country cannot be doing in the 21st century.

There was live transmission of APC campaigning vigorously for their candidate in Edo State. ADC did light campaigns in Anambra, Kaduna and Ogun.

Elections and social media noise are anti-correlated. ADC and LP performed as if they were fringe parties. This is a pointer that they are not on ground. The weakness of the political weight of the arrowheads had been exposed. They have a lot of work to do.

Sadly, since it was exposed that NNPC GMD ferried funds to the inlaw of the promoter of ADC, the promoter has left the country and had refused to involve himself in ADC matters: a pointer of ineptitude in administrative competence.

ADC failed because their leaders did not prepare.
Campaign?

How Many of Tinubu's campaign promises has he fulfilled for instance?

You still think anyone goes to a campaign rally to hear politicians lie?

People go to campaign for the 2k they will share nowadays.

The lessons so far have overwhelmingly revealed that the APC and the PDP essentially remain the dominant parties in the country, despite the coalition of political parties and bigwig politicians.
This shows how deeply entrenched the two-party dominance is in our political system, and how difficult it remains for smaller parties or new alliances to break through.

Seems Jagaban is going to have quite a smooth ride come 2027.
So you actually expect a coalition not up to 2 months old to win any of these bye elections?

It is only in black Africa that people expect things like this.

We want to host world cup we start 6 months to the time but whites start preparing 8 years to the time.

We want to participate in an international even we start preparing 3 months to the time while saner people begin even 2 years to the time.

This sort of mentality is the real why anyone would expect ADC to defeat over 10 year old parties APC and PDP in the bye elections.

Jeez.

Nothing like lesson anywhere.

Politics › Re: FCT Vs Lagos: Is Wike Nigeria’s New Political Godfather by ddippset(m): 6:39pm On Aug 17, 2025
sleezy106:
FCT vs Lagos: Is Wike Nigeria’s New Political Godfather

— By Prince Festus Oyom (Political Analyst)

Nigeria may be heading towards a new kind of political cold war: not between North and South – but between Lagos and Abuja, wrestled over by two masters of the political dark arts — Bola Tinubu and Nyesom Wike.

For more than two decades, Lagos has stood as the unquestioned seat of godfather politics under Tinubu’s grip. His iron-clad control over the political machinery from Alausa to the grassroots has become the stuff of legend. But these days, all attention is shifting to the FCT — where Chief Nyesom Wike, former Rivers governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is rapidly building what looks like a rival power base.

Wike’s rise in Abuja has been loud, bold, and disruptive. Roads are being torn open, buildings demolished, billions of naira in land rent recovered, contractors realigned, and agencies shaken up. Under the guise of “renewed hope for the FCT,” he is installing loyalists, expanding patronage networks, and positioning himself as the new landlord of Abuja politics.

This is not unfamiliar territory. Wike perfected the craft in Rivers State where, despite loud denials, he played the role of godfather to the hilt. His handpicked successor, Governor Sim Fubara, was tolerated only so long as he remained obedient. When Fubara sought independence, hell broke loose — impeachment plots, burned Assembly chambers, defections, and eventually a state of emergency. At the end of the drama, power quietly returned back to Wike’s corner while Fubara was politically neutered. That episode sealed Wike’s reputation as a godfather who doesn’t just install — but controls.

The fear among political watchers now is simple: Rivers was rehearsals, Abuja may be the real show.

Already, traditional power brokers in the capital — contractors, land speculators, councillors, business elites, even FCT legislators — now flock to Wike’s office in Area 11 the same way Lagos politicians once besieged Bourdillon. With President Tinubu eyeing re-election in 2027, Wike’s growing relevance makes him too powerful to ignore — or too dangerous to leave unchecked.

The question then is no longer if Wike is emerging as a godfather, but where his empire ends.

If left unchecked, Abuja could soon become to Wike what Lagos is to Tinubu — a fortress from which the next presidential alliances, betrayals, and victories are forged.

Nigeria moved the federal capital from Lagos to Abuja in 1991, supposedly to escape entrenched power structures. Yet in 2025, it seems we may have simply exchanged one godfather city for another.
Too much turenchi.

Tinubu spared Wike's blushes and saved him the huge embarrassment he had coming to him in Rivers.

Fubara had already annihilated & destroyed Wike until Tinubu stepped in to save the day..

Don't overrate your Obio Akpor God.

Obasanjo was dashed presidency because of June 12, he imposed Yaradua, Goodluck was lucky and Buhari with his block vote and Tinubu brought him in. Tinubu fought the incumbency, the system, the opposition and still won and you call that desperation. That’s resilience my guy.

What is there not to be desperate about expecially when you know you better than the rest of the candidates. It is presidency not local government chairman.
