Odibembem:lol E be like say na today wey you know say politicians dey use court play. Wike did it a lot during his 8 year reign. He used Rivers courts to frustrate Rivers APC and Amaechi. Amaechi could barely take a stroll on the streets without a Rivers High Court ordering him to go back and maintain status quo. Even if a mad judge gives a ruling you must obey it and then proceed on appeal. A Rivers High Court recognized Edison as speaker,, And so for that period he was legally a speaker. You know this is the truth. |
Na by force to endorse Ibas? NBA has said it and it's final.. Ibas as the Governor is unconstitutional, illegal and an aberration. Ibas and Wike should stop being bitter about it. Just like an 8; year old girl who tells her friend when she's offended,,, "Where is that my sharpener that I dashed you?, give me back." Ibas is an interloper who should be redeployed to keep peace and order in Plateau state. That's where he is needed. |
E be like this 70 year old Calabar man like trouble. |
RichBoy247:SlaveBoy247. That's what you are. |
showboy2301:Just put a sock in it, would you? This is too complex for you. |
AguluLiar:Shallow people have nothing to say... Go to Ogbomosho and conduct your taxi. |
Odibembem:I quite agree that only the speaker can declare a seat vacant based on defection. And the law says it is a MUST. Where the speaker declines and fails to declare the seat vacant, then the court must come in. Any aggrieved fellow house member or the political party which lost the members can go to court to force the implementation of the declaration. It's so simple,, it doesn't even need a lawyer to explain this. In the case of Rivers, somehow, someway, rightly or wrongly Edison Ehie found himself as speaker backed by a competent Rivers high court. He was the one who declared the seats of the 27 vacant. All those names you mentioned didn't lose their seats because no one was really interested in following them up... With a fair judiciary, there is no way on earth that someone who leaves their party that sponsored them to the Legislature without any division at the NATIONAL LEVEL of their party would not lose their seats. No way! I reiterate WITH A FAIR JUDICIARY!! |
showboy2301:You're the one who is dull and can't even think deep. The sole administrator talk is just a sarcastic comment. He is the one in charge of the whole economy.. If he could remove a governor after declaring a State of Emergency why can't he remove himself after declaring a state of emergency on food! It's a very reasonable question to ask. |
Akpakomiza2:It's very easy to support the ruling party and subsequently be happy with everything illegal the courts do. My point? I could very well begin to support Tinubu and Wike,, and be happy with the obvious misjudgements of the Supreme Court. But no, You are not doing anything special. |
Salewa97:I wish you family was involved and then other people will be telling you "I believe with time, everything will get better" |
Kam2021: ![]() Oga that is walking like a 70 year old man, is that one an Oga? Even Tinubu wey dey stagger walks more stable than him. ![]() |
The Supreme Court made a judgement on a matter that was never brought before them in Appeal. Then they proceeded to talk about how there was no defection because there was never a house of Assembly..(that's the one and only reason they gave for judging there was no defection.) Such triviality! Same manner a Country's Senate would treat a case of Suspending an elected Governor by using a voice vote to determine 2/3rds approval. Is Nigeria really not a joke?? The same Assembly that were sitting at a section of the assembly complex and passed over 20 bills, a few of which they attempted to rely on to impeach Fubara. Any way the Supreme Court has always said we must obey them because they are the final. Not because they are not fallible. Surely they are fallible,, and there are many circumstances that make them fallible,,,, In some cases they are genuinely fallible, in other cases they are "willingly" fallible. |
TimeManager:The irony about you is always your closing line. 😁😁😁😁😁 ~kiss the truth! The way you drop that line, and then proceed to say every other thing in the world but the truth. The Supreme Court made a judgement on a matter that was never brought before them in Appeal. Then they proceeded to talk about how there was no defection because there was never a house of Assembly..that's the one and only reason they gave for judging there was no defection. ![]() The same Assembly that were sitting at a section of the assembly complex and passed over 20 bills, a few of which they attempted to rely on to impeach Fubara. Kam2021:Bow in respect? You must think that everyone is like you. Respect for what? Tell me sincerely from your heart,,, respect for what? Lemme guess; He invented a new type of kind machine? Or he won a Nobel price? Or perhaps he pulled a GEJ and declared his ambition was not worth the blood of any Riverian? Exactly what? GTFOH. |
Afterthought.. It's funny this Ibas doesn't like hearing that he's an interloper in Rivers State. The man doesn't like hearing that his role is unconstitutional.. 70 year old man, better buy form and contest for Cross River Governor 😄 f the tin dey sweet you too much. |
BondRiv:In the minds of touts and miscreants, Wike is better. Only in a zoo like society like ours can Wike be more respectable than Dele. Dele Momodu is a self made, self accomplished.. Wike nkor? Government money from day one to today... Only in black Africa, government people who steal public funds are more valued than hardworking business people and career people. |
Kam2021:Not sensible but a glutton. A power drunk glutton. Not only BAT, such a man like Wike can align with Lucifer just to remain in power.. That's the meaning. |
Putindbutt:Can you quote the section or sections of the constitution which say that demolition of assembly complex or any building is unconstitutional? Which sections? |
Fayose was done and passed him on to Wike. When Wike is done maybe he'd pass him on to Okpebolo.. Lere the werey. |
The NBA is correct to reject Rivers state in protest of the gross constitutional desecration of the constitution by Tinubu and the Legislature. But they should do the honorable thing to refund the money.. Doesn't change the fact that their stance is in order. |
Mrhonesty:In your mind now, you have said something. |
Slurity:Don't body yasef. Wike cannot unmake Fubara. Wike made Fubara,,, Tinubu is trying to unmake him. Our grouse is with Tinubu, not Wike. |
And what is the meaning of "no to Fubara"? The man was elected for a 4 year tenure. What manner of asslicking and shamelessness is this? |
This POTUS na agbero. He will do well as a Nigerian President. |
efemena5050:Couldn't agree more. Give it to those Hausa Fulani guys. You can't try this nonsense with them. Honestly I am still appalled by the response of Rivers people to what Tinubu has done! Even those big leaders on Fubara's side are still calling Tinubu "Our father" "Mr President" "The President was misled" "The President should revisit the issue" None is even brave enough to blast Tinubu. Only a few young activists are doing that. |
Cromagnon:I am not sure about Sani but I know he was 1 million percent loyal to El Rufai when the latter was governor. And as for Reverend Father Alia, need I say any more? He had nothing in politics but was offering mass every Sunday when Akume single handedly brought him in to run for governor. The only difference is that Akume wasn't half as greedy as Wike. How can a man buy forms for everyone? How? Have we seen that before in Nigeria?? |
But But But,, Who was supposed to handle security that time sef? Was it Shetima or Tinubu? ![]() Oh I remember now,, Tinubu will handle economy while Shetima will handle security. ![]() |
Cromagnon:I don't even have to think too far. Let me start with the ones in this administration. Uba Sani revolted after about 6 months in power.. Alia revolted after about 6 months in power. |
hatchy:See how this one is freely and easily calling an accomplished career accountant a fool because of governor position. If they check you well now, maybe you couldn't even pass WAEC. Yet you open mouth waaaaaaaaaa calling Fubara a fool. |
hatchy:What is this olodo talking about? Are dyslexic or stupid? You're suggesting a Governor should struggle with the President when a SOE is declared? ![]() Are you always this foolish or is it just a one-off? |
blaise26abj:How many successors waited for their second term before they fought their godfathers? Not Obaseki, Not Udom, Not Uba Sani, Not Aliya, Nigerian godfathers are so corrupt,, it takes the godson to get into office to realize that they can't honour such agreements. I tell everybody,, Fubara didn't even want to be Governor, it was more or less forced on him. Wike wanted Fubara to be Governor much more than Fubara wanted to be Governor. Wike wanted someone whom he thought would be loyal to foolishness, a yes man, a stooge. He saw Fubara that way.. I still think Fubara should have turned it down.. I swear I have never heard such a stranglehold on a successor before in my life... Where the Godfather selects Deputy governor, all assembly members, all LGA chairmen, Chief Security Officer, Chief of Staff, SSG, All commissioners.. Every goddamn thing... Has there ever been a godfather like Wike in the history of this country? |
hatchy:Of all the states of emergency declared in this country, which governor ever resisted the President? Lol, why are you guys reasoning like children? As soon as the president declares state of emergency, even your own security police DSS will leave you and return to base. Fubara did the right thing. It's just that the man Tinubu has no conscience.. |
