It’s a month and 3 days from airport arrival to handed over to last mile delivery and there’s about 80% chance it’s not a tablet or mobile phone he ordered.

It doesn’t mean anything, it’s just a routine notification from AliExpress.

Just have patience - there is still well enough time for them to deliver if they want to.

SpeedAF is very stable and trusted to some extent.

I still do not understand AliExpress rationale behind still using posting to deliver some items. Is it that they don’t some basic data checks to see the rate of delivered items to the rate of refunded items when sent via post especially to Nigeria?

I feel SpeedAF should be able to deliver most of the things sent via NIPOST so far the price of the item is under $300 which is generally duty free.

It’s a random package update - check postal ninja, if there’s an actual update, you’ll see it there.

Welcome to the wait! It’s always very swift for it to reach Airport but will be stuck there for God knows when - sometimes till the buy protection ends and you have to settle for Refund!

If possible go to your nearest PO and try padi one of them for there to be on the lookout for your item - you just might be lucky 😀

They don’t disappear yes, it’s with NIPOST 90% of the time they just don’t see it as their responsibility to deliver it promptly

It can't be tracked at Nipost. They will tell you it's an ordinary item e.g mails,letters and correspondences. Items that are trackable are the ones registered and starts with R e.g RE, RT, RX, RR, depending on the country it is coming from. The best they can advise you is to check your nearest post office and you may be lucky to find it. I don't know why AliExpress keep sending expensive and high risk items without registering them. Items gets missing or stolen and they make the customers dissatisfied and they keep on refunding. This is very bad of them

Major reason they keep using small items route to ship packages is cos of customs problem. Most of the mails ain’t meant to pass through customs - if they use registered package and it goes through customs, it might even be worse cos customs can charge up to x3 the cost of the item as customs duty. Unless you have receipt of purchase and you know someone that knows someone, one will pay huge fees as customs duty.

Some of the gadgets that are being shipped are declared as accessories if need be just to bypass customs cos they are duty free.

In some cases, NIPOST do collect customs charges on some items if it falls under what duties are meant to be paid for.

This isn't exactly accurate. It is true that NIPOST can't specifically track small mails, and the vast majority of items that is couriered by AliExpress through NIPOST are under the "small item" label.

This however is the case because NIPOST isn't responsible for the shipment of said items from source and are therefore unable to track them until they receive and scan them into their system. So until items brought into Nigeria by Malaysia post, Singapore Post, Netherland Post etc are handed over to NIPOST, they are unable to tell you the status of your parcel until they personally receive it.

I personally experienced this too, when my parcel arrived Nigeria, I reached out to NIPOST and they told me they couldn't track it cause it's a small mail etc, but the thing really is they were yet to receive it. Once I got notification that the item was now with Local courier, I sent another mail to nipost and this time they could tell me exactly where my item was. I could also see from the tracker how it moved from one office to another.

It’s true that NIPOST can’t track items until it’s scanned into their database, but at the same time, it’s not all items NIPOST scans into their database reasons best known to them, some of the items are received, sent to the nearest post office waiting for the owner to come and claim it - they sometimes call if they wish, all these without it being updated on AE tracking.

I ordered for phones and tablets. I used Uba MasterCard discounts for all my purchases, but the items never arrived since November 2025. I have even been to the airport Nipost but they said they couldn't track the package stating that they are not registered meaning that items that comes with LP usually comes in bags full of letters so they are not trackable and can easily get missing or stolen. Hence the reason why a lot of packages with LP, LX,LT and so on have such issues

90% of the issues stems from the anyhowness of NIPOST and their staffs. Same POS Malaysia (even PostNL, Singpost and Morning Global) that delivers to Nigeria does deliver to Ghana and some other west African countries, mostly no issues and prompt deliveries.

Since the staffs at NIPOST knows that if items are not delivered the burden is on Aliexpress and the seller, they either thief it or do not consider it priority and since there’s no one to checkmate them, they keep doing it.

Some sellers on AE now do not ship some certain Items to Nigeria again cos dem don too pay refunds to customers.

If you check the Nigerian reviews on Goldway store, some items were delivered some were not - so it kinda all boils down to luck, proximity or something - my order is coming to Ibadan, I feel it’s close to Lagos and shouldn’t be much of a hassle for NIPOST to deliver but they can never be trusted.

If I don’t get my order in the next 30 days, I’ll seek for refund - before rates turns something else entirely.

What was the item you ordered?

You’re best seeking a refund as it is, you’re most likely not getting the item again.

BTW, have you checked post offices close to you? Sometimes the items are there and they just hasn’t been updated on the tracking page.

it’s always better to use a usd card, refund won’t be a problem. When first ordered my tab im waiting for and saw the CNG tracking no, was confused so told seller to cancel, and aliexpress took 2 days to do their judgement thing, the refund was processed on a Saturday, i got my refund that same Saturday .

I paid for mine with Kuda Visa Card, I wanted to use Opay but my limit couldn’t allow for such transaction - refunds are fast if Opay was used too - got to know about Bybit card after I made the order

What did you order?

That tracking was Sing Post I believe - most people got their items handled by them same goes for PostNL too

Expect it to be at Airport 2-3 days after departed from global transit center.

It’s a 12.7” Xiaoxin Tablet - from Goldway store - that I ordered.

How I wish I get such hope, I’m jejely waiting for my order to remain 15 days to the end of buyer protection so I can jejely get a refund and as it is, due to exchange rate I’m already at 50k loss only God knows what it’ll be when I eventually get refunded.

Before buyer protection ends the refund button will show - I think from when the buyer protection remains 15days.

bad luck, if only speedaf was used, i usually don’t check speedaf orders like this coz i know i will always receive their text in 2 weeks after order. I thought aliexpress dumped nipost

You wey just dey start, mine will be 3 weeks e reach airport by Friday, I mailed NIPOST, dem say it’s not in their system yet even when I gave them all evidence it’s at the airport.

So, it seems I’m not getting it my item anytime soon (if I get it)

Some flights may move - probably priority items, but definitely expect delays due to the extended holidays.

That confirms my claim kind of, stuffs like this gets delivered but when it comes to phones, tablets, EarPods etc hardly gets delivered.

I wanted to ask sef, in the case items were not delivered and refund was gotten, what happens to the items that got to airport and was never delivered? Does it get sent back to the seller or what?

If someone is not patient, aliexpress would teach them how to be, and the tab is on temu, but i wanted the pro GT version, coz it more powerful

It was after I ordered I read this thread from last year January till date - there are lots of informations here to digest about NIPOST and their crazy Saga. If I had not made my order before reading here, I won’t have made the order at all.

I am in the same shoe with you. I paid $9 for shipping fee and they also gave it to NIPOST. I have already threatened the seller that if my item doesn't land within 3 days, I am requesting for a full refund because I didn't ask him to use a terrible shipping line after paying $9. the delivery timeline that was quoted for me will elapse in 3 days and I am patiently waiting to file for a refund. I no send him papa.

Sellers don’t usually have a choice of shipping items, it handled by AliExpress unless you have someone in China or Hong Kong the seller can ship to, there’s pretty much nothing the seller can do.
