I greet everybody. Officially team 1KVA courtesy powerbox. com. ng. 2 150W felicity solar panels connected in parallel and 1Kwhr Lithium battery.

Would like to upgrade the solar panels to something near 1KW as I need more current to suffice for additional load and remainder for battery charge during the day but for now I dey enjoy the setup for my load need and also learning from other ppl's experience in the thread.

I just got the Airtel ODU Mehn,

It’s not what I expected at all,

The reviews here made me go for it,

Max speed have gotten on it is 15mbps,

And I noticed when I have it on for some hours, the network starts to misbehave, only WhatsApp messages can be sent or received, every other things won’t load up,

It’s a huge disappointment for me,

I still did 20gb on top of the 200gb that came with it,

Nothing show.

Bros avoid 2008/2009 with 2AZ engine. it burns oil a lot. Go for the V6 Highlander or Rav 4.

Very good point here. The inbuilt charging function of inverters undercharges batteries most time. I have used a 1kva 12v Brighton inverter and a 24v Luminous inverter before to charge batteries. On all occasions, i had the usual small voltmeter attached to the batteries.

For batteries whose absorb voltages were 14.5-14.9v, these inverters never charged them beyond 13.0v after which it indicates as being full the stopped charging and I kept wondering why I was having low backup time from my batteries at the time.

Until someone from here advised I get an external charger and that resolved it. My batteries now hit 14.6v and float easily.

Mine won't charge pass 14.0v and when I use external chargers, it reached 14.6v.

300w 12v panels will be hard to find.. u should be looking out for 100 to 210w panels. u can get brand new 210w(12v) for 40k

Yes I don't have appliances pass TV and Light bulbs, the rest are phone chargers.


For other heavy loads, I have a big Gen to power them if I wish.

So I'm planning on going off Grid and off Gen, I need the cost breakdown for these setup:

4 150w solar Panels
200ah Lithium Battery
30A Charge Controller
1500w Inverter

Anyone with the average cost should please help with their prices 🙏🏾

There are cheaper alternatives. Airtel ODU, It's a better alternative.
MTN also has fiber but it's only available in Lagos, ilorin, Abuja and few places. Check your location for it's availability.

Sir, Airtel MiFi is sold for 5000 naira at their office outlets and it'll come with a 30gb bonus. That's the amount I got mine for. Also, the person you quoted made mention of Airtel and you went ahead to drop a screenshot of MTN MiFi price. They are entirely different.

It appears you overfilled the reservoir. You need to drain the excess oil and gauge properly.

I filled it to the point the gauge was full and I can see the oil from afar.
