Both Corollas are okay, but cosmetically, avoid the 09-010 because it's body isn't strong at all and the bumpers are a nightmare. I drive one and my friend drive the 05 Corolla, his body is really doing fine compared to mine.

Getting my Results evaluated Na wahala on its own, it's not easy here at all.

So I had my interview yesterday at the Lagos Embassy, find within my transcript, so I can be well prepared for the next time I go, probably Abuja next time. Visa officer was a White lady probably in her middle thirties, she was actually nice and jovial until someone stressed her for like 30mins on a visitation visa.

VO: Good morning, pass me your passport please.

Me: Morning ma'am, here's my passport.

VO: Can I have your i20?

Me: Yes, have it.

VO: You're going to where?

Me: Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to have a bachelor's in Civil Engineering.

VO: Why the US?

Me: Having just completed my HND in Urban and Regional planning, getting a degree in Civil Engineering, an environmental related course to my HND will make me well qualified and skilled to take over my pman's firm bla bla company.

VO: How did you know about this university?

Me: I got to know it through my pman as he made consultations through his associates to choose the best option for me to have a degree in Civil Engineering and that's his goal so I'll be well versed to take over his company when am done with my studies.

VO: Who's going to sponsor you?

Me: Definitely my Dad, he owns Bla bla company a firm that deals in bla bla bla

VO: Can I have his bank statement?

Me: Here you have it.

VO: I can see Polytechnic on your profile? And returns the Statement.

Meanwhile, I went there with all supporting documents from CAC certificate to EFCC certification, a pension documents stating the retirement wages of his employees, a signed and stamped letter from my dad stating he'll be supporting me and one from my mum too, my last tuition fee payment from my school and some of my school documents, school ID cards and dad's bank statement as well.

Just take a genuine statement to the enbassy, dont use any fake statements

We wer praying for the white lady to interview us cus she was nice to others especially students… but yea we got the African American lady. She thrilled us! Lol first question- why University of Saint Thomas? I told her that’s where I got my master of liberal Arts degree from back in 2014 and the school does more than teaching, it focuses on morals and ethics and it’s a tight knit community cause it’s a small school that makes it easy to interact with lecturers … She then asked when last I visited the US… I said 2019. She said how long did I stay? I said 5 months. She said why did I stay for that long? I said cus I gave birth. She asked if I told the consulate officer that I was going to give birth? I said yes I was taken through secondary interrogation where I showed them my doctor’s invitation letter and receipt of hospital bill… I then had to back track and explained how I went for my sister’s graduation and during the visit I had to do a doctor’s routine checkup. Then the doctor told me he could help me through the pregnancy with ease as I had gestational diabetes that he wanted to control through diet…. So long story short, she said my visa was revoked when my husband applied for his visa while I was in the U. S then. I told her I wasn’t aware that it was revoked because I didn’t commit any offense. That The consular officer then thought I wasn’t going to come back and that I have no reason to overstay. Then she said ok. Do you know that it’s now illegal for foreigners to give birth in the U.S that hope I don’t plan on having kids during my program. My husband and I said no o that we have two for now and we are ok until after the program…. Then she asked Who will be sponsoring your program? I said my dad. Then she asked what he did. I told her… she then faced my husband and asked what he does… my husband said he has a restaurant… then I whispered to him to add Cotonou that our restaurant is in Cotonou… then he added it. Lol. She asked who will be running it when we travel… he said he has staffs that run the business. She said staff as in? He said he has staff and a brother that will be running it on his behalf. Then she typed and faced me again. What do I plan to do with the program… I said to add to my current business which is for African youths and that I plan to use my doctor of education program to create a training institute for young adults… plus she asked if I had any relatives in the US. I said yes two sisters. She asked if my two sisters are citizens. I said no they are non immigrants. She said what are they doing there. I said one is on H1B and the other is a student. oh I forgot to mention that she noticed I didn’t write my full name when asked for other names used… I thought I was meant to write any other name I’ve been called so I used my short name and maiden name instead of using my full name… anyways she was like she was going to correct it manually from her end…. So yea she gave us the Visa… we packed soooo many documents and she didn’t even care to look down at any… I even tried to show her some , she didn’t even look; she was just looking at the system…

That same White lady rejected mine.

Our discussion was short and brief and boom, blue slip

That Black American was later nice and the white one was brutal, the White lady interviewed a lady for almost 30mins, still later gave her blue slip, the woman wanna cry.

Buy a new generation laptop.

No PC out there can beat the M1s battery wise. And Gaming laptops? You're a joke, they are made to work best on external power, priority is not given to the battery at all so zero out Gaming laptops.

Besides, why didn’t you try to get your OND and HND transcripts evaluated and apply for a masters If you haven’t been to the embassy before, I would advise you sit this one out and try master’s admission for the fall 2022 admission. I understand what getting a denial does to people. Keep the faith!!!!

I have really tried to be as candid as I can. Since your case is also unusual, it might actually be helped if you have full funding from the school or some substantial funding. Also, rather than apply as a freshman, you could have attempted to apply by transferring some credits from the college courses you already did. This would have required your transcript being evaluated. Like I mentioned, the embassy fixates so much on funding. This is not to say other factors are ignored.

Quick note: let’s say there is a protracted strike going on currently in Nigerian institutions, this might likely help your case.

Just adequately prepare for the interview so you are able to convey your responses to the VO convincingly, & most importantly, don’t leave out that element of prayer.

You can almost anticipate that you will be asked what is informing your decision to crossover if you have indicated in your ds-160 that you have done some college work.

I finished school 2012, I'm 23 and I'm going for a bachelor's in civil engineering in Wilkes University (I've not seen it mentioned here before sef and might be one of the Red flags school, I don't know) I did URP for OND and HND. $10k funding from the school, $43k deficit covered by an uncle that we don't have the same surname, I don already zero my mind. I'll just prepare and pray for interview, if dem reject me, I'll just lockup.

My dashlight for ABS and Steering as on and the steering became somehow stiff and i was told the ABS system has failed and needs to be replaced.
