A recent documentary which was aired on Africa Independent Television (AIT) has drawn the attention of the Nigerian electorate to the person of former Lagos State Governor and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The expository documentary, which was sponsored by the #GodBlessNigeria group x-rays the political profile of Tinubu, from his early days, to his ascension to the Lagos State Government House in Alausa, Ikeja until the present day where he plays a pivotal role in the presidential campaign team of General Muhammadu Buhari, with the rumour mills stating that he, along with Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi are the financial sponsors of the APC presidential train.

Since it was aired, the documentary has elicited comments from several quarters, as many of the information revealed were hitherto unknown to most Nigerians.

Why do men want sex in the morning while women get frisky at night? Mystery solved

Why is it that a man feels at his sexiest when he wakes up in the morning but a woman wants to go back to sleep? And why, late at night, when a woman is in the mood for love, is her man just lying there, snoring? It all comes down to hormones. Here’s why our sex clocks don’t always tick in time.

5 AM
Even before a man wakes up, his testosterone levels are at their peak -between 25-50 per cent more than at any other time of the day. That’s because the pituitary gland -which governs the production of the male sex hormone -has been switched on in the night and levels have been steadily rising until dawn.

Women also make testosterone -the main sex drive hormone -but produce a fraction of the amount and it rises by only a tiny bit overnight. It is also kept in balance by oestrogen and progesterone. Men need only a normal amount of testosterone to feel like having sex. The raised levels in the morning means most men will wake up two to three times a week with erections.

6 AM
Slept well? A good kip is another reason a man may feel even more amorous in the morning. Studies have found that the longer and deeper a man has slept, the higher his testosterone levels. Research in the Journal of the American Medical Association shows getting more than five hours’ sleep can raise male levels by an extra 15 per cent.

7 AM
While a man’s levels of sex hormones are at their highest when he wakes up, a woman’s are at their lowest. Male and female testosterone levels are at their highest at opposite ends of the day, so they are out of sync, says consultant gynaecologist Gabrielle Downey, of the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.

Downey says it takes more than hormones to get a woman in the mood, so men need to make an active effort.”

Women’s hormones rise and fall more over their monthly cycle than through the course of a day. At their height -midway through her cycle -a woman’s levels of testosterone will be 30 times higher than at the start.

8 AM
As both sexes get ready for the day, levels of the stress hormone cortisol rise to help them wake up -and dampen the effect of sex hormones. Cortisol, studies show, lowers the sex drive of both men and women.

As the day goes on, men steadily make testosterone. The hormone is needed to trigger muscle growth and sperm production. Levels will fall and rise every 90 minutes through the day as part of the body’s in-built clock.

12 Noon
An attractive colleague wanders into the workplace. But it’s his nervous system and not his hormones that kick into action.

Pandemonium broke out in the Akwuke community of Awkunanaw in Enugu State after a pregnant woman, Mrs. Mercy Chintua,poured hot water on one of her neighbours because he allegedly peeped at her while she bathed.

The victim, Emmanuel Anyebe was reportedly about to take a bath on the fateful day of Monday, February 23, 2015 when the incident unfolded.
Police operatives from the Enugu state police command have arrested Chintua for committing such an act.

Anyebe was reportedly badly injured from the attack and was thereafter rushed to an undisclosed hospital.

Chintua admitted to committing the crime, her reason being that the man saw her unclothedness.

She said, “On that fateful day, as I was taking my bath, Anyebe peeped at on me while trying to gain access into the bathroom, and in the process, saw my unclothedness.”

After noticing what happened, enraged Chintua took to her kitchen where she boiled some water and subsequently poured it on the man.

Now, she is remorseful for committing such an act and blames the devil for pushing her too hard.

According to Punch, Anyebe who denied peeping at Chintua reportedly lost consciousness as a result of the excruciating pain, and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

He said, “It all happened as I wanted to enter the bathroom to take my bath, only to be stopped by Chintua, who wanted to take her bath first.

“I simply left after Chintua rushed into the bathroom to take her bath before I could do same.”

Anyebe claimed to have reported the incident to Chintua’s husband and went to have his bath after she was through.

It was in the process of having a bath that Chintua unleashed terror on him with the hot water.

The state police spokesperson, Amaraizu, confirmed the incident adding that the suspect was truly sorry for her actions.

He said, “The suspect is with us and has been helping the police in the investigations into the incident.”

Nigeria’s first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 took a swipe at the presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) general Muhammadu Buhari, saying he is too old to rule the country.

Speaking at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women presidential campaign rally in Kogi State, Dame Jonathan questioned why General Buhari is hell bent on becoming president when he didn’t do much during his first stint as military Head of State.

Speaking in pidgin English, the first lady said: “Wetin him dey find again? Him dey drag with him pikin mate.

“Old man wey no get brain, him brain don die pata pata.”

As the cheers became louder, Dame Jonathan began singing thus: “If you vote Buhari, na your prison; if you vote APC, na your wahala”

“What is change? Why did you not change things when you were there? Is it now that you want to be doing the things you weren’t doing before?” she continued

“Jonathan looked at us and said women, I am giving you the position of the chief justice of this country. Okonjo-Iweala is a woman, Diezani is a woman. Seventy percent of his cabinet are women.

“He also gave us the opportunity to start enrolling for the regular combatant course at the NDA (Nigerian Defence Academy).

“He wants continuity because he has vowed to do more. He places Nigerians in his mind and if he says he will do this, he will do it. So what are we looking for? If we women of Nigeria don’t appreciate Goodluck and we are looking for bus conductor, it is left for us.”



She besought the people to collect their permanent voter cards (PVCs) and vote en masse for the PDP.

In her words: “Remember that your vote is your power and it is good to vote wisely.

“Those of you that do not have PVC should endeavour to collect it because all these things you are doing is meaningless without PVC.

“I thank you very much the people of Kogi. This is time around I came to thank you very well. I brought some gift for you, I brought rice, I brought meat, I brought brocade. I brought many things for you. It is not for election but to thank you very well.”

A 36-year-old man flew into rage and stabbed his girlfriend 13 times on the hand inflicting serious injuries on her because she served him a cold meal.

Michael Keeney of Cabin Creek was arrested by County police operatives in West Virginia, United States.

A criminal complaint was filed against Keeney at the Kanawha County Magistrate’s Court and he was charged with a 13 counts of malicious assault or battery.

According to the police investigation, officers arrived the scene of a stabbing around 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2015, reports World Wide Weird News.

Police officers discovered the victim with multiple wounds although she tried to cover up by telling them that she fell on the ice outside her house.
She later opened up and told them how her boyfriend battered her with a kitchen knife because she gave him a cold food.Apart from the kitchen knife, Keeney hit the victim on the hand with a hammer.

Meanwhile, he was booked into the South Central Regional Jail, with bail set at $5,000.
