There are some trending posts on Facebook claiming that typing the word ‘BFF” into the comments of such Facebook posts will reveal if your account is in danger of being “Hacked”.

 
The post claims that if the letters BFF appear in green, it means your account is safe but if it does not, it means your account is at risk of being Hacked.

An example of such posts is below:

 
"Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, invented the word BFF. To make sure your account is safe on Facebook, type BFF in a comment.

If it appears green, your account is protected.

If it does not appear in green, change your password immediately because it may be H@cked by someone."

Though it is true that typing BFF into Facebook does, usually, result in those letters turning green, this does not in any way indicate whether your account is safe or at risk.


Fact

A fact check by GLtrends.ng finds out that the letters BFF turn green when typed because they have been chosen by Facebook as a “special” comment that, upon being typed, produce a brief visual animation to appear on the screen.

It seemed like another normal day at Oke Baale Osogbo Today 4th of June 2017, until the mutilated body of an undergraduate was discovered behind the hostel.

A Final year (400 level) student of Microbiology Department of the Osun State University, Osogbo campus,UNIOSUN, Oluwafemi Oluwatimilehin Shonibare had earlier been reported missing since last week Wednesday, 28th June 2017.

The young guy who was a fourth-year Microbiology student at the Osun State University was last seen on 28th June.
Confirming the development on Tuesday 4th July by GLtrends, Osun State Police discovered his corpes along Campus Road abandoned on the road side with his Head removed and other Private Part.

Students living near Jafaria Street told our correspondent, who visited the bush that the Alfa, who was arrested in connection with the student’s disappearance showed the policemen the place where the corpse was dumped.

Some of the students close to the deceased burst into tears as they perceived horrible stench oozing out of the bush.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fimihan Adeoye, when contacted on the telephone told our correspondent that he could not speak because he was in a meeting.

But the Deputy Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students in South West, Saheed Afolabi, confirmed the development to our correspondent.

Elderly man buried in his beloved car

A man who loved his car so much before his death has been buried in the vehicle in a bizarre funeral.

90-year-old man, Lonnie Holloway, who’s from South Carolina in USA, had stated how he wants to be buried with the car – a 1973 Pontiac Catalina.

His last wish was granted. He was dressed and made to sit in the driver’s corner while his many guns were put in the passengers’ seat. The car was then put into the ground, next to Lonnie’s wife, who died two years before him.

Nigerian football icon Stephen Okechukwu Keshi died suddenly in the early hours of Wednesday in Benin City, Edo state, The Cable is reporting. Here We Highlights Top 20 Things You Need to Know About Keshi



1. Keshi was married to his wife Kate (née Abureme) for 33 years. She died on 10 December 2015, after battling cancer for three years. They had four children.


2. Stephen Okechukwu Keshi (23 January 1962 – 7 June 2016) was a Nigerian football defender. He was also a football manager of the Nigeria national team. He was one of only two people, along with Egypt’s Mahmoud El-Gohary, to have won the Africa Cup of Nations as both a player and a coach.


3. In 1996 he was joined by Augustine Eguavoen, who once coached the Nigerian national team. They played together in California as the backbone of the defence for the short-lived Sacramento Scorpions. Keshi has been a part of the coaching staff for the Nigerian national team, most notably as head coach for the Junior Eagles at the 2001 African Youth Championship which also served as qualification for the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship, without success.


4. Between 2004 and 2006 Keshi coached the Togo national football team, surprisingly bringing them to their first World Cup tournament, Germany 2006. Having secured Togo’s unlikely qualification, he was promptly replaced by German coach Otto Pfister prior to the World Cup finals, after Togo showed a dismal performance and failed to advance to the knock-out stage in 2006 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
However, Pfister did not last beyond a controversial World Cup campaign that nearly resulted in a player’s strike over pay and Togo remained without a manager until February 2007 when they re-engaged Keshi in time for a friendly against Cameroon.


5. He worked as manager of the Mali national football team, after being appointed in April 2008 on a two-year deal. Keshi was sacked in January 2010, after Mali’s early exit in the group stages of the Africa Cup of Nations.
6. Keshi became coach of the Nigerian National Team in 2011.


7. He led Nigeria to qualification for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, which they went on to win, defeating Burkina Faso 1–0 in the final. The following day Keshi handed in his resignation, only to reverse his decision the day after.


8. Keshi led Nigeria to the 2013 Confederations Cup, defeated Tahiti 6–1, and lost 1–2 to Uruguay in the second game, and also lost 0–3 to World Cup winners, Spain in their final group game.


9. On 16 November 2013, Keshi’s Nigeria secured qualification to the 2014 World Cup by beating Ethiopia 4–1 on aggregate in a play-off
10. On 18 November 2013, Stephen keshi set a record in African football by being the first African coach to successfully qualify two African nations (Nigeria and Togo) to the World Cup Finals.


11. He also helped Nigeria become the first country to achieve an African Cup of Nations trophy and World Cup qualification, both in 2013.
12. On 25 June 2014, Keshi’s Nigeria progressed to the knockout stage of 2014 World Cup. They started the tournament with a 0-0 draw against Iran, followed by a controversial 1-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina. They lost the final group stage match 2-3 against Argentina, but progressed to the knockout stage, courtesy of a 3-1 win by Bosnia and Herzegovina over Iran.


13. On 30 June 2014, the Super Eagles lost to France in a 2014 World Cup Round of 16 match. After the match, Keshi announced his resignation as Super Eagles coach but later reversed the decision after the Nigerian Football Federation renewed his contract.


14. On 14 October 2014, his team failed to win a single game in the ongoing Morocco 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifying series and he announced he would move to another job if pressure continues to mount because of certain people, whom he refused to name, were trying to “sabotage” him. However, he stated that he will continue to coach the Super Eagles because he loves the team and he loves his country.


15. In July 2015, following Nigeria’s exit from the World Cup, Keshi’s contract with the Nigerian Football Federation expired and was not renewed. A statement by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee said the decision was made, having thoroughly reviewed the reports/findings of the NFF Disciplinary Committee and NFF Technical and Development Committee, as well as having reviewed the actions and inaction of Stephen Keshi, in the performance of his duties as Super Eagles’ Head Coach, which NFF found to lack the required commitment to achieve the Federation’s objectives as set out in the Coach’s employment contract.


16. Played for A Lot Of Clubs All Over the World When he was playing himself, he was a center back. He participated in 386 games and scored 61 goals. He played in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. He received training in the USA.


17. He won the Africa Cup of Nations both as coach and as player Keshi is the only person (apart from Mahmoud El-Gohary, but he died in 2012) who has won the Africa Cup of Nations as a player and as a coach too. He was the captain of the Nigerian team when he played at the Africa Cup of Nations in 1994.


18. He didn’t apply to be a coach He stated that he has never applied to be a coach for Nigerian team. It just happened that in 2000, he was invited to assist Bonfere Jo. And in 2013 Keshi coached Nigerian team to victory in the African Cup of Nations, defeating Burkina Faso 1–0 in the final. The next day, the coach resigned for unknown reasons. But the he returned a day later and reversed the resignation. Later in 2013 he led Nigeria to the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil where the Super Eagles ended up losing to Spain in the final match of Group B.


19. He makes controversial squad decisions Of course, when it comes to national teams, it is hard to pick up 23 players for the World Cup, especially in a country full of talented players. But the decisions of the Big Boss cause a lot of debates. For example, he excluded Ejike Uzoenyi, voted as the Most Valuable Player after the 2014 African Nations Championship in South Africa.


20. He has his own sense of style He will never put on white trousers or a suit. He just doesn’t feel comfortable in it. So often times, he wears just a track suit of Nigerian colours. Keshi is quite a reserved person. He prefers to spend his free time with his wife at home. Even when he was young he didn’t like partying. Keshi is a person of self-discipline. 2016 barely just got started, but the way the music industry colleagues have picked on each other ehn! They are tales that should perhaps never be retold from my mouth. Many many thanks to Olamide’s feud with Don Jazzy which hatched itself out on the Headies award stage and continued with a series of fatal tweet-disses. Although it seems they have buried the hatchet, now Dammy Krane has gone to dig it up from where they let it lay and swung it viciously at Wizkid with careless disregard.

While Quilox happened to be the battle ground where Wizkid was alleged to have attacked Dammy Krane perhaps to teach him a lesson on how not to mess with his person, I’ve examined a few other lessons to learn from this izzue.

1. Wizkid Is Indeed A Grown Man Now

It is not news that the Starboy lord literally has no chill. Unlike before when he is called out on social media, he doesn’t hesitate to slam his opposition as evidenced from previous twit-banter with colleagues including Davido, Skales, Saeon, Samklef and even his fans. But this time, despite how the Gbetiticrooner maligned the person of Wizkid, going far as to label him a ‘b*tch n!gga’ amongst other accusations, he remained mute up until the wee hours of this morning when he officially handed Dammy Krane his response and in person too… like a MAN!

2. Dammy Krane Is A Terrible Songwriter

The bone of contention here is songwriting credit. Dammy Krane claims to have written the hook to Kcee’s award-winning song, Pull Over, on which Wizkid got featured to sing. It takes really less than simple or common sense to decipher the hook to that song, especially if we’re to strip it down to the lyrics. So don’t you wonder what Krane’s hullabaloo is all about?

Secondly, he also claims ownership of Wizkid’s most recent recording Final (Baba Nla). Now here’s the thing about this. I really cannot place Dammy on Kcee’s song, but on Baba Nla? Abeg, leave story! DK would have owned that song to the last vocal sound. And it most certainly would have been the song to advance his artiste prowess. I mean, it takes just one song to do that giving the success stories of Korede Bello, Yemi Alade, Skales and even Kiss Daniel. It still doesn’t make the song less crappy because he might have been better off singing it than Wiz.

Regardless, it sure is painful! But then again, aren’t most trending songs by the industry acts full of crap? Thus, it is not an ill common to him alone. And that’s why it really hurts.
