Politics#twitterban: You Met Me Here Boy – Shehu Sani Replies Inquisitive Tweep by deantimes(op): 7:35pm On Jun 15, 2021
An inquisitive tweep got a belittling response from Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker on Tuesday over his continued use of Twitter, a micro-blogging platform suspended by the Nigerian government.

The former Kaduna Central lawmaker comically tweeted about owning an electric car with the low supply of electricity in the country.

“To buy an electric car in this country you may need a generator in your boot,” he said on Twitter.

Moments later, one of his followers, @Sadaukiusman1, queried his presence on Twitter despite the ban.

“So u are still tweeting,” Sadauki asked shortly but the politician responded swiftly. “You met me here boy.”

The President Muhammadu Buhari regime propagandist, Lai Mohammed, weeks ago announced the ban of Twitter, two days after the social networking giant deleted a remark of his principal deemed genocidal.

Since the ban became effective, Nigerians opted for Virtual Private Network (VPN) to bypass the ban and access the social network where most discussed issues in the country trends.

Mr Sani, like other prominent Nigerians, violated the ban and have continued to send out tweets probably using VPN, a similar mechanism Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation, used in deactivating his account on Twitter.

Politics#TwitterBan: Akeredolu, El-rufai defy FG directive by deantimes(op): 1:30pm On Jun 07, 2021
Two state governors belonging to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) have defied the directive of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government regarding the use of Twitter.

The federal government through its propagandist, Lai Mohammed, announced the indefinite ban of Twitter on Friday but the presidency said the ban is temporal.

On Saturday, the ban became effective as Nigerians were not able to access the micro-blogging platform without the use of Virtual Private Network (VPN). Later, Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, threatened to prosecute those still using Twitter despite the ban.

Without citing which part of the constitution was being violated by the continuous using of the social networking site, the AGF who doubles as Justice Minister told Premium Times that those arrested will be notified of the sections they violated when arraigned not minding the shut down of courts nationwide.

On Sunday, Rotimi Akeredolu and Nasir El-rufai, governors of Ondo and Kaduna states respectively, defied the directive of the federal government and made use of their verified Twitter accounts.

While Mr Akeredolu, at exactly 7:11pm, tweeted to condemn the alleged killing by violent herdsmen in Igangan area Oyo State where about 50 persons were reportedly massacred, Mr El-rufai, whose son had earlier violated same directive, at 9:37pm, shared an article titled, “Based Nigeria: African country teaches US lesson in how to handle Big Tech tyranny.”

Meanwhile, radio and television broadcast stations have been directed to stop using Twitter and reporting events thereof.

Christianity EtcI Will Not Keep Quiet, Defiant Mbaka Says After Resuming From Suspension by deantimes(op): 7:46am On Jun 07, 2021
Controversial Catholic priest, Ejike Mbaka, says attempts by anyone to shut him up has failed and will continue to fail.

Mr Mbaka who resumed religious activities in his Adoration Ministry on Sunday after a one month suspension by the Bishop of Enugu Catholic Diocese, Calistus Onaga, confirmed he is being wanted for questioning in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Addressing his audience, Mbaka, who clashed with the presidency last month over misgovernance before being suspended, said he will not keep quiet and will continue to voice out when necessary.

This is despite being told by the church authorities to steer clear from commenting on politics related developments in the country.

“I got a call that the DSS people from Abuja came here (Enugu) with a letter of invitation to Abuja,” Mr Mbaka is heard saying in a video on YouTube. “Over what? What I cannot understand is that the mother church in Nigeria should be “cowed down” to lilliputian.

“The church is a lion and lamb. The bible says if the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do. Every priest is a prophet and a king. We must protect the sheep. In this time, when killings are every day story, when there is hunger everywhere, people do not have hope again. The only hope I have is God. Anybody who will stop people from worshipping here will regret it.

“I am the servant here. They don’t understand history. I spoke against Abacha. I went to Minna to tell Babangida what was wrong in his time. I spoke to Obasanjo face to face. I perform under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I ministered to the late President Yaradua. I am being used by a higher being called the Holy Spirit.

“If they are attacking me here and there, no wahala (no problem). The Bible says if God is for us, who can be against us? Only God can be God. I heard the security people did not accept the letter. They asked them to come on Monday to give me the letter. If they know the anointing here is too hot for them, let them change. I will not keep quiet,” he added.

PoliticsPHOTO: El-rufai Flouts #twitterban, Tweets by deantimes(op): 2:19pm On Jun 06, 2021
Bello El-rufai, son of Kaduna State governor, has flouted the Twitter ban placed by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

The young lad, who threatened to gang-rape the mother of his critic, is also a supporter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) which has backed Mr Buhari which initially ban the micro-blogging platform indefinitely but recently said it was temporary.

The violation comes hours after Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) threatened to arrest and prosecute those still using the social networking site after it was banned.

The social media giant which has promised to help Nigerians bypass the ban is not accessible in Nigeria except through the use of Virtual Private Network (VPN) which most Nigerians opted for when the restrictions became effective Saturday morning.

It is unclear where Mr El-rufai is tweeting from as at press time, but he tweeted Sunday afternoon soliciting for followers on Instagram.

thebosstrevor1:
The civil war wasn't a genocide, it was a war between Nigerian military and Biafra military.

Both side killed each other, now the losing side who are biafrans have started creating a false narrative that 5 million igbos were killed. This is the fake news spread by ipob agents.

If 5 million igbos were killed during the civil war then where were they killed?

Let everyone remember that the war was between Nigerian military and biafra military, not Nigerian military and igbo civilians.

Most of the war were fought in the bushes, soldiers from both side suffered casualties but Nigeria won and biafra surrendered.
So why didn't the military face their armed rivals ? Why bomb innocent civilians at markets, hospitals and schools?

Why starve the general population if it wasn't a genocide or you were not told all these?

Igboid:
Exactly.
People protest peacefully and you turn them to Target practice while Nigerians clap for them.
The people pick arms and retaliate, shameless Nigerians start preaching hypocritical peace.

You will not see the hypocritical NIGERIANS preaching for ESN and UGM to drop their arms here. They are innately Happy that the Biafrans have no arms and have made themselves easy victims of shooting practice.

But immediately the Biafrans acquire arms and go for self defense, the hypocrites would crawl out from their holes.
That's why I believe Nnamdi Kanu when he calls this shithole a zoo because all this can only happen in a zoo.

For me, any Ibo uniform security agents against the BRF which has claimed responsibility for unknown gunmen attacks, should be sent to his or her maker sharp sharp.

PoliticsIPOB Speaks On Ahmed Gulak’s Assassination by deantimes(op): 3:37pm On May 30, 2021
The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has reacted to the assassination of Ahmed Gulak, a former presidential aide to Goodluck Jonathan.

Mr Gulak was killed early Sunday morning, according to a police statement which blamed the All Progressive Congress (APC) for perambulating around without escorts.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful on Sunday, the Nnamdi Kanu leader led secessionist movement, said the killing has political lining and governor Hope Uzodinma and the APC should account for what happened to the politician.

“This is political assassination; we are not in the same party with Gulak,” Mr Powerful said. “Uzodinma and APC knows about Gulak’s death, we do not know anything about his movement, talk more of him being in the state. Nigerians believe this because they hate IPOB, Biafra.”
