Why not look into Australia PR with this your course. Just an advice though Snowkel: please have been thinking about moving to Dubai for greener pasture ,I studied Social work, and currently working as a client Service Executive, what are my chances over there for a job. |

Please I need a response, is it advisable to state in my GTE statement that my sponsor's children are in another country say Canada/America for their postgraduate study just to reinforce his financial capacity and love for education. Please kindly reply. |

A quick one please, how many words should a good GTE statement be? |

It definitely helps. Thanks a lot. Nenyeroz1: I submitted the same SOP that I used to apply for admission for visa also. However, before lodging my visa application, I'd carried out more extensive research on my field of study, in terms of the opportunities (job wise) that abound in it in Nigeria and which ones I target to get after completing my masters in Australia. Also, I gave examples of existing establishments where I'd apply to and what additional personal professional practice I'd register in order to be able to get contracts with gov. and non-gov. organisations upon my arrival in Nigeria after studying the Masters in Australia.
long answer abi. Lol So, short answer is, I believe you can upgrade the SOP you gave your school and use it for visa application. Just ensure its the same essay. (That's what a professional advised me to do during my time) Hope this helps. |

Thanks for your response Nenyeroz1. One more question to ask, is it better to have all that one state in his SOP during course application in the GTE statement or the GTE statement can be better fashioned to seem appealing to the case officer? Thanks in anticipation to your response. Nenyeroz1: I believe it's not bad to state your FUTURE intention of getting a PhD but write all you can to convince anybody who reads your SOP that the Masters degree you are going for NOW is just what you need to get that big job, or to qualify to apply for that better position/company. It doesn't have to be that there's already a job waiting for you. In my case, I did mention in my SOP that I'd get a PhD AFTER I've acquired some professional experience with the position I'd work in using the master qualification I'm going to study NOW (from Feb 2020) in Australia if my visa is granted, and my visa was granted. During a Skype interview with my school, they asked me if I intend continuing with the PhD (which I mentioned in my SOP) immediately after my masters in their school. I said no, that it's a future years plan and I haven't decided on which country I'd choose for it for now. So I think it's okay to mention the PhD, just don't say you intend to stay back after your Masters for any reason. Good luck |

Greetings, a quick question please. Is it advisable to put one's desire to pursue PhD after completing one's master study in the GTE statement in place of getting a job offer. Please respond. |

With my little experience, the visa that will be issued to you is a two year Visa that will end march of the following year. The stated date is when the academic calendar end and that doesn't stop your course from being a two year course. braindamage: Good Morning, good people. Fantastic job with this topic (wished I had found about it earlier). Hopefully, I will share my successful full experience one day. For now, there is a lot learnt, and a lot still to learn This place has been very educative and helpful, even at short notice. Thanks, and God bless.
My question/concern. A course on its website states '2 years full time', but when the CoE certificate comes out, course start date(24/2/2020), and course end date(31/12/2021), which is clearly 22months.
I am worried because, I have seen post(s) here that clearly stated, if the course is not exactly 2years(24months), no chance for a Post Study Work Visa. How unsettling should I be about this ? If a case for PSWV will not exist, how can this be solved.
I anticipate every truthful response. Thanks once again guys. |

Yes. Do you have a something to share on that. Thanks for throwing more light to my initial question. Barth88: Did u say u got offer from RMIT? Is that an Assessment level 1 uni were a bank statement isn’t required? And to your question, there are heaps of places you can enroll for an aged care program, it mustn’t be at TAFE, and yes u can run an Aged care program alongside ur post graduate, as aged Care programs are usually short, sometimes 2 or 3 months. |

thanks for your response sir. What I intend to ask with my last question is, can I enrol for a TAFE course like aged care alongside my postgraduate studies. So combining the two together at once. From the example you gave. Let's say am studying a master program in Adelaide already, can I at the same time apply for a TAFE course and do it alongside my master program in Adelaide?. I hope you get my question now sir.

|

Thank you sir for your response. Your response so far on this thread has been nothing but encouraging. My course is a post graduate course. And the fee is around 39000 per year. You mentioned working for 8hrs per day, thought international students are allowed to work for just 40 hrs every fortnight. Will the student be all allowed to work for unlimited period during the study leave? Please sir, how possible is it for an international student to enrol for a another while still studying with the present education provider. I anticipate your response sir WestAfrican. I appreciate your words of wisdom. WestAfrican: The simple answer is YES. It's doable. A lot of us went through that path. The other truth is that it isn't easy as either school or work has to suffer interchangeable.
The key words like you mentioned is hardwork, perseverance. You also need to be focused while keeping a simple eye.
Am not sure of the duration of your program or what degree you will be pursuing. This is an insight to what a program would cost in Australia:
Study costs in Australia Education program Average tuition costs ($AUD)
Foundation courses $15,000 to $39,000 in total**
Undergraduate bachelor degreee $15,000 to $33,000 per year*
Postgraduate masters degree $20,000 to $37,000 per year*
Doctoral degree $14,000 to $37,000 per year*
If yours was a bachelor degree, that's where the stress is enormous. You would have to be able to work at least 8hrs a day, 16hrs on weekends and probably as much as you can during your school holidays.
Moreso, the good thing in Australia is that you can take study leave although you need to notify your UNI to get a leave of absence, that is when you need to work hard to gather enough money for the coming semester/trimester. |

Thanks for your input sir/ma. The A$40k is per year fees. Taught immigration doesn't allow bringing in of food items. Can you please expantiate on this. Most importantly, my research shows that aged care course take around 1 year in Melbourne to complete and can't be done by international students with study visa. Can you please explain this better in a way an inexperience person can understand and the possible cost. My course is a post graduate course in RMIT university. Thanks as I anticipate your help in this regard. Joan011: 1. Is the A$40k per year if yes. Of course you can meet up
Get a room for $150/wk. Spend only on your necessities(bring lots of stuff from Nigeria that will help greatly)
Moreso, there are lots of jobs. Getting one ain't hard. P. S Prepare to take the aged care course or disability course.... There's money in that sector
What University did you get accepted into |

Great people of nairaland, please I need an answer to this...... My sponsor is willing to pay my full tuition of one year while I sought the rest out myself. Do you think I can pay meet up with let's say forty thousand Australia dollars while staying in Melbourne for my second year tuition fee with other personal expenses like feeding and accommodation. I am quite hard working and can persevere in difficult situation. Is it achievable please. Your sincere and encouraging response will be so appreciated @ bligs, WestAfrican and others. Please don't ignore. |
