This will involve working in close collaboration with engineering colleagues to ensure that technical and social aspects of WASH programming are closely integrated and with EFSVL and Protection colleagues to maximise the potential for cohesive programming for protection crisis – undernutrition response and cholera outbreak.
Engage with women and men in the affected population in the assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring of public health activities and play a key role in ensuring that communities are informed and consulted about Oxfam’s work and have opportunities to give their views on, and influence programme activities.
Contribute towards planning and proposal writing in order to provide clear objectives and establish indicators for monitoring and evaluating the programme including indicators relating to participation and gender.
Plan weekly and monthly activity and ensure closely communication and collaboration with support department as logistic, finance and HR.

Programme learning and reporting:

Write regular reports adhering to Oxfam reporting formats at intervals to be decided by the line manager.
Document meeting minutes for any internal and external coordinaition meetings, or agreements with other stakholders.
Contribute to donor reporting, budgeting and new proposals when required

Coordination and representation:

Act, on occasion and as acting , coordinating public health activities within Oxfam and with external agencies. Share good practice examples from Oxfam PH programmes at interagency coordination meetings and TWIG

A suitable mix of qualification and experience in any discipline relating to Public Health Promotion or Social Science. Experience could substitute for a formal qualification, but not vice versa.
At least 2 years experience of working with local partners and an understanding of community-based and gender-sensitive approaches to water sanitation and hygiene behaviour change work in emergency relief or development programmes

A private hospital located in Lagos Mainland currently seeks to hire a Billing/HMO officer.

Duties and Responsibility:

• Prepare treatment estimates for Clients as required
• Ensure all patients encounters are adequately billed according to the contracts signed with HMO and Corporates and according to approved tariff for Privates

Essential Duties and Responsibilities;

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems;

• Maintain, operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management system, and building repairs;

• Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations; • Monitor and supervise HVAC preventive Maintenance contracts; • Respond to emergencies;

• Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken;

• Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, BMS system, fire/life safety, and other systems;

• Comply with all safety procedures and requirements;

• Maintain compliance to City, County, State ordinances and codes;

• Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required;

• Attend training sessions and seminars; and

• Other assigned tasks as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of Nation Diploma and Certifications

• National Technician Certification

• 2 - 4 years of related experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Computer Literacy.

• Communicate effectively both orally and writing

• Maintain detailed and accurate reports

• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with contractors and all tenants.

let me share my story...Back then in school,there was this girl who was always topping the class...its even surprising because it was one of the engineering courses.She was so keen in getting her grades and coming out with first class..well after the project defense she was summoned by the school senate to ascertain her level of understanding aside the academic grades.....it was a rude shock because she knew nothing else apart from engineering courses.Several questions were asked aside engineering and general life...she couldn't answer well.Her level of understanding about life was so so low.
Well she eventually left the university with her first class....only for me to hear that she spent over 2 years at home without a job.She couldn't fit into the society...she was so conscious of her grades that she didnt pay attention to other aspects of human living.
The last time i saw her in the east....i was not impressed and i felt so bad .

To my greatest surprised,the university didn't offer her any lecturing job as the usual case.
They didnt see qualities in her.

Bottom line....while going after academic pursuit....prepare for life after school and equip yourself to face the world beyond the walls of the higher institution.
