Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Halliburton Test Questions Here by Debbie1010(f): 3:24pm On Jan 14, 2008
Robbie Lex:

Aptitude tests are designed to see how well you fit into the advertised job.

The key to passing them is preparing for them.
Find out from past test takers the format of the tests
Practice similar questions, work on your time, develop your own personal strategy for answering such questions,

Don't waste your time looking for "real" questions or whatever, except the company makes it available on their websites, going out of your way to get these questions which may have been gotten illegally is a distraction and doesn't speak much about being a person of integrity which is a key trait most companies look for in a prospective employee. If you always look for short cuts you'll end up not getting to your destination.

Work hard at passing your test on your own and i believe if you do so you'll be rewarded by success, and if you don't you'll have gained something to use next time you sit for the test or similar ones.

All the best

My thoughts exactly.

This is the problem with this Country. People no longer want to spend time to study and pass exams. We want already made questions so we allow people tell us all sorts of stories and lies.
If somebody cannot study and pass exams based on what he spent 5 years doing in the University, but will rather look for "EXPO" then I pity the Company that will hire him and send to the Rig because thats a disaster waiting to happen. He'll just mess up all the way even after being trained. No wonder lots of people get "run off" the rigs these days,

My Friends, spend time and study and God will surely reward your Hardwork with Success. It must not be Halliburton. God will definitely give you the one thats for you.

Romance / Re: I Keep Mixing Up My Wife's And Secretary's Name Together by Debbie1010(f): 12:25pm On Dec 18, 2007
Mix ke?

WHat do you have with your Secretary that would make you mix her name with your wife? How will you feel if newly married Mrs calls you her Manager's name?

Methinks you're having or you've had something with this Secretary, o.

Just start calling your wife some Pet name and save yourself this embarrasment,
Romance / Re: His Mouth Smells; Should I Tell Him? by Debbie1010(f): 12:17pm On Dec 18, 2007
SweetLizzy,

If you want to keep that Guy, Abeg DO NOT tell him he has Mouth Odour. Some Men just cant take such bitter truths especially when its a blow to their ego. He will just take off and you'll never see him again. If you really like him, abeg buy Mouth Wash for him. You could also encourage him to lick a lot of Glucose D as I hear its good for such problems. Buy lots of Baba Blue (Vicks sweets) whenever you're with him, that way his breath will be fresh and you wont have to keep your face away when he's talikng.

I once had a colleague that had the same problem and the Bobo was sooooooo fine. I felt sorry for him. I wonder what the root cause of this MO is.

Family / Re: How Much Should A Man Earn To Sustain A Marriage? by Debbie1010(f): 3:34pm On Dec 17, 2007
I think a Guy should be sure of himself before he ventures into Marriage. Ability to pay the dowry and organise a Big Wedding Celebration is not the main thing in marriage because there may have been contributions from people.

Life is generally hard in this Naija so You Must be able to cater for your Wife & Kids in addition to your Family(extended). You must be able to provide very basic amenities if you want peace in your home. No matter how religious a Woman is, Some day, she will definitely show her other side if she's the one all her friends are looking down on. You must not eat Chicken every day or wear designer stuff but at least you should ensure your Family is not described as being un-tidy or poverty stricken,  or even have your kids appearing greedy because they've never seen some things in their own house.

My 2 cents though,
Food / Re: Indomie, Chikki Or O! Noodles: Which One Tastes Best? by Debbie1010(f): 2:57pm On Dec 17, 2007

Culture / Re: Book On The Ibibio Culture by Debbie1010(f): 5:01pm On Dec 04, 2007
Zequisha:

I would love to learn this language. My hobby is from Akwa Ibom and i can't speak a word of the language. Can anybody help please? Will be gratefull.

Ibibio isongo,

This is my first post here and I'm really thrilled that we're represented in Nairaland,

I'm from Akwa Ibom but reside in Port Harcourt. I schooled at UNIUYO (pre Akpan Ekpo problems-o),

My 2 cents, God Bless you real good. This will definitely help. I have cousins who can't speak a work of Ibibio even though they were brought up right here in Naija,

Zequisha, I can help you out a bit with spoken ibibio not written.

My People,  Yak Emem Abasi akem afit owo udeme.
