New joint control owners are committed to growth and building on the tradition of unparalleled football excellence.

The consortium led by Todd Boehly, chairman and CEO of Eldridge, and Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. (together with its affiliates, “Clearlake”), today announced completion of the ownership transfer of Chelsea Football Club (“Chelsea FC” or “the Club”). The consortium also includes Hansjörg Wyss, founder of the Wyss Foundation, and Mark Walter, co-founder and CEO of Guggenheim Capital. Walter and Boehly are owners of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Los Angeles Sparks. The transaction has received all necessary approvals from The Government of the United Kingdom, The Premier League, and other authorities.

Under the terms of the agreement, Boehly and Clearlake will share joint control and equal governance of the Club. Boehly will serve as Chairman of the holding company.

Boehly and Clearlake are committed to investing in key areas that will extend and enhance Chelsea’s competitiveness, including the redevelopment of Stamford Bridge, further investment in the Academy, the Women’s Team, and Kingsmeadow stadium. The owners will also continue the important work of the Chelsea Foundation.

Prince Omoha Bags African Young Entrepreneur and Humanitarian Personality of the year Award

One of Nigeria's youngest real-estate entrepreneur and philanthropist, Prince Omoha Nduka, the chairman and founder of Prince Luxury Group (PLG) and Prince Omoha Foundation (POF), was yesterday, received the African Young Entrepreneur and Humanitarian Personality of the Year 2021.

It is an award reserved for young Africans in recognition of their outstanding display of excellence in the effective leadership and entrepreneurship development along with humanitarian activities on the continent.

Prince Omoha who was nominated by Africans across the continent was presented with the award tagged “African Value Awards 2021” by The Board of Trustees at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria, at a grand reception ceremony.
He received the prestigious award alongside the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Governor of Narasarawa State, HE Abdullahi Sule, T.S. Jack Rich, Boboye Oyeyemi and other notable icons who received awards in different categories.

Omoha Nduka John is an award winning Nigerian real estate entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He is the chairman of Prince luxury group and founder of Prince omoha foundation.

Omoha Nduka was born in the city of abakaliki on 3 September 1995, he hails from umuebe ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state, Nigeria.

The president, in a video released on Twitter, said he has called the Katsina State Governor to congratulate him on the release of the boys.

He said: "I spoke with the governor, I congratulated him and I congratulated the army that organized the operation and settlement of the abductors and getting the children.

"The military is well trained. I think they are sufficiently motivated. The governor, he has been up and doing since it happened and I congratulated him that the children have been successfully recovered."

He continued: "We have a lot of work ahead of us and some of the things we may not say. I don't want to compromise the security and the efforts being put by the law enforcement agencies.


"But, really, we are acutely aware of our responsibilities. Our responsibility is to secure the country, so we have a lot of work to do."

Singer, Queency Benna has taken to social media to cry for help after allegedly being raped.

According to Benna, a man raped her in a hotel in Abuja, leaving her feeling depressed and suicidal.

She shared his name, photos, and screenshots of chats they allegedly exchanged to back her claims that he raped her.

She said the man who is said to be a doctor, invited her for dinner and she was initially sceptical. She said she later went and it turned out she made "a big mistake".

She called him a "bloody hell rapist" and added that she's waiting for the doctor's report to be out.

She tagged the Nigerian police to her post.

Singer Peter Okoye aka Mr. P and retired footballer, Osaze Odemwingie, have made peace after the latter apologized to the former for calling him out online as he explained his reasons for doing so.

On Tuesday, December 1, Osaze took to his Instagram page to call out Peter for running a betting company and also for sharing a video of people dancing while breaking bottles on their heads to celebrate the yuletide season.


Peter saw the post, attacked Osaze, and called on Nigerians to pray for him.

Reacting to Peter's post, Osaze shared a video of himself explaining why he called Peter out and what he thinks is wrong with the singer's betting business and the video he shares of people dancing

In his words:

I didn't mean no offense, to be honest. As you offered to pray for me feeling like things aren't right with me, I thought I will do the favor back because what you sow is what you reap. You pray for me and I pray for you.

When I watched your video about the guy that took his mum's last N500 to gamble, what you are doing is that you are encouraging gambling. Some people win, some people loose. So he went into tears saying his mother is ill, she has cancer, she is on chemotherapy and you asked him why was he crying and he said because he took his mum's last N500 to buy a ticket. Luckily he won but I believe there are some guys who didn't win on that day and possibly took their dad's or mum's or friend's last money feeling like they would win because gambling is an addiction.

In that situation, I am not condemning your business completely but in that situation, I think what you should have said to him was that he is lucky today but he shouldn't do that again because if he didn't win, that means they might not have a meal that day or the next day and that is stealing because you have to ask your mother to take her last money to go gamble. I believe some people borrow money to do these things and when they are in debt, they end up getting arrested, they get beaten up and all that.

So that was my worry really. If he took his mum's last N500, you should have rebuked him as a brother. Most of my friends are footballers. They all are into gambling but it is a big issue here. People commit suicide because of gambling. It is an addiction. I am not condemning people that are doing it but if you can control it, that is another thing''

On Peter's dance challenge, he said

''When I saw the video you put out encouraging people as they break bottles on their head and dancing, I asked you if these were your sons, will you encourage them to do that? So this is how our Christmas should be in Nigeria now? Guys breaking bottles on their heads and dancing like crazy. I am just saying my opinion. I don't think it is right. Maybe once a year you want to go mad, maybe you go to somewhere and do that but not to bring that kind of thinking into Christmas because it is family time, a nice time.

A lightweight female fighter beat a 529-pound man to win an inter-gender MMA fight.

The fight, which has been described as a "freakshow" by many in MMA, took place in Russia between professional fighter Darina Madzyuk and blogger Grigory Chistyakov.

The fight lasted only one peculiar round.
Chistyakov appeared to take the upper hand early on, pinning Madzyuk in a choke hold by the side of the cage.

The referee broke them apart, and after a few poorly aimed punches from both fighters, Madzyuk managed to get her rival on the floor, and began bludgeoning the top of the amateur’s head for several seconds before the referee pulled her off and gave her the win.

In light of the defeat, the male Russian fighter claimed he would be training actively and lead a healthier lifestyle.

"After this fight, I will start to train actively," the beaten Chistyakov said.

"I will try to lead more or less a healthy lifestyle. Blogger Nastya Tuki-Tuk will be my coach.

"It happened. She hit me fine and I fell. Although she is small, I lay on her back, but she did not fall, and than I didn’t know what to do."

The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to the viral video of its officer that was filmed while he was drunk.

The officer was seen in a drunk state at CBN junction close to police command headquarters in Abuja on Saturday, November 28th. Residents disarmed him to prevent him from shooting sporadically.

In a statement released on Sunday morning, November 29, the spokesperson of the Abuja Police Command, ASP Yusuf Mariam, says the officer has been arrested and will undergo a psychological and medical evaluation before he will be made to face a disciplinary panel. Read the statement below...

A CCTV footage making rounds on social media has showed the moment a lady reportedly stole a bone straight hair worth 200k.

The owner of the shop was lamenting on the incident and also calling out her sales girl for not noticing what happened.

Bone Straight is a human hair wig which is currently trending in the fashion world.

In a footage, the customer of a big hair shop, can be seen stealing one of the wigs on display in the shop.

The customer places the wig behind herself, away from the view of the unsuspecting shop attendant.

She goes on to ask the shop attendant to take pictures of another bone straight hair, as a form of distraction from the crime.

According to the store owner, the stolen hair is worth N200k.
