i have traveled round Nigeria and have visited lot of GRA's in many states in Nigeria, the very first day someone gave me his address to visit him at GRA Sagamu, i made up my mind that i am will be visiting a serene environment with trees and flowers planted by the both side of the road, a well tared road with organized structural setting. Low and behold when the bike man took me there and told me that this is GRA, i argued with the Bike man that this place can never be a GRA. What they called GRA in Sagamu was an eye saw, with bad road, poto poto everywhere, the structures were zero planed. The funny thing was that the people around the community celebrate there as a GRA. I really don't blame them, because they hardly travel out. Ogun state is either the second or the 3rd largest IGR state in the federation but one of the worst state with the worst basic amenities. The state Capital Abeokuta has no water; people will have to go through long stress to access water especially during dry season. Ogun state ought to be rubbing shoulder with state like Lagos in terms of infrastructural development, the state is supposing to leverage on it’s proximity to Lagos to even add value when it comes to development, but due to lack of a visionary leader they remain redundant the way the state has always been. The state remains one of the state with the worst road network in Nigeria. [b][/b] |

Broo, God Him self has given up on Nigeria, what happens here in Naira Land is a typical example of the Nigerian society for you, if an election is to be held tomorrow, majority of their foot army who are placed on monthly N20,000 pay will still vote for the same set of leader. A byelection was held some where in Ogun state last 3 weeks or so, i saw where a particular political party was sharing N10,000 each and was canvassing for vote, the same people who will come tomorrow and start shading tears and wailing Ebi npa wa, we still collected the N10k and vote for same Shaku Shaku leaders. I just shook my head. As it stand now, there is no single hope for the nation, all this is because of the kind of followers we have. So we should stop attributing God to our failure. One of biggest and greatest problem in Nigeria today, is tribe and religion, by right these two were suppose to be our strength, but on the other hand, they are now our greatest misfortunate. Even when it is obvious that a leader doesn't have what it takes to be, we will be tribally and religiously blinded to let the fellow to remain, so long we prefer tribe and religion in place of competence, we will always be having bad leaders. 2 Likes |

I hope & pray we all get connected soon.. people like you are some of the problem we have in Nigeria, why do you need connection to succeed in Nigeria even when you are qualified? that can only happen in Africa and especially in a nation like Nigeria. Personally, someone like me who have lived and have traveled round the 36 states of this federation and Abuja, and can at least speak about five local Nigerian languages fluently, years before now have always been an apostle of hope, an advocate of New Nigeria, preaching to Nigerians to have faith and Hope in the country, that the nation will work. Yes, we are blessed with everything we need to succeed and be a prosperous nation, but what do we get in exchange, stack poverty. I regret ever advising those who had wanted to japa back then never to japa, that they should have confidence in Nigeria. As it stands, it is all obvious that the nation is making no move and there no evidence that the nation is going to work. I knows that tribal bigots will come after me but I careless. What's the essence of staying behind in Nigeria to make the billions and millions in Naira and kidnapers, armed bandits, herdsmen both on our high ways and in our neighborhood, won’t give one the peace to enjoy the wealth made, or the ill-trained Police officers who will in turn start manhandling innocent citizens, or our judiciary system. you should have rather said, “why 9 out of every 10 Nigerians want to relocate”. if I had known that Nigeria will be this bad, I would have seized the opportunity to join my friends to japa as at 2012 when they were japaring, to the extent that I will keep preaching and telling them that, I so much believed in Nigeria, that Nigeria will certainly work, I kept assuring that to them, little did I know that we aren’t seen anything as at that period.
