President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said he hoped that those who held #ResumeOrResign protest in front of the Abuja House in London, United Kingdom, would also join him in Nigeria now that he had returned home.

The President said now that he had returned to Nigeria, he hoped that those Nigerians would also return home.

Buhari also said that he was happy about national prayers held for his quick recovery, noting that the prayers cut across all religions and ethnic groups.

But the present alaafin of oyo had once challenged the authority of ooni of ife throne as the head of yoruba traditional rulers in a court of law with his lawyer then, chief afe babalola but best reasons known to him to have discontinued the suit that later was thrown out of court. Ever since I was born, I have not seen many people arrived late to the airport when the person is travelling. In fact, when the plane is taking off at 11:00pm, the person will be at the airport by 7:00pm, wow! That's how much people value travelling overseas. But on a Sunday morning when Church has long begun that's when you see men and women with 'swag' gliding like pregnant serpents to Church, they know they are late, but because they have a new armani suit on and the latest michael kors bag, they want everyone to see it. Church starts at 7:00 or 8:00am, but people will come at 10:00am, why? They think praise and worship is for the uncivilized. Just take the test to call them on Monday at 5:30am, you'll realise they are already on their way to work and some will be there already.

Know this today, anytime you go to Church one minute late, you have NOT attended Church at all. There is a register of God, where angels record the name of those who come on time, and you'll be surprised that in Heaven they will tell you, you never attended Church. If Christ is saying 'where two or three are gathered, I'm in their midst', you think He comes late?
The time you give is the time He keeps.

What does it mean to arrive late to Church
1) Disrespect to Christ
2) Betrayal of Christ
3) Disregard to the Church and the Pastor
4) Interruption of an eternal Program

Now consider all these, and tell me they have not sin. Remember, Eternity's Flight is not a flight taking you to overseas, it's a flight taking you to Heaven. Don't miss it!

The WAIT IS OVER. National carrier RwandAir has officially laid claim to a brand new Airbus 330-200, proudly nicknamed ‘Ubumwe’ (unity).

The aircraft is the first of its kind in East Africa and will help boost RwandAir’s capacity to expand its wings globally, John Mirenge, the airline’s chief executive, told The New Times in Toulouse, France, yesterday.

The aircraft, with a capacity of 244 passengers, is expected to touch down at Kigali International Airport at exactly 11am today, with more than 80 passengers on board.

Mirenge said the new wide body aircraft is the biggest milestone for Africa’s fastest growing airline and opens up opportunities in terms of expanding the airline’s footprint.

“We are now set to compete globally,” Mirenge said, adding that the airline has been growing at an average of 20 per cent in the last six years and is currently positioning itself as the most efficient and reliable airline in the region.

President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria is “suddenly a poor country” due to significant drop in crude oil prices in the international market since his assumption of office.

Speaking at the state house in Abuja on Thursday while receiving Babatunde Osotimehin, executive director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and under secretary-general of the United Nations, Buhari said Nigerians are not feeling the extent o of the “severe shortage” because of his administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

“It has been a very difficult year for Nigeria,” Femi Adesina, his special adviser on media and publicity, quoted him as saying.

“Before we came to office, petroleum sold for about $100 per barrel. Then it crashed to $37, and now oscillates between $40 and $45 per barrel.

“Suddenly, we’re a poor country, but commitment to transparency and accountability is not making people know that there is severe shortage.”

Asking UNFPA to bear with Nigeria in any area where the country is not living up to its responsibilities for now, Buhari said exploding population and different cultural practices in the country provide fertile ground for research to organizations like UNFPA.

He thanked the UN agency for its commitment to saving lives in Nigeria, particularly of women and children.

On food security, Buhari said reports from the north-east were encouraging, as internally displaced persons had begun returning to their farmlands, with the guarantee of relative security.

Osotimehin, a former minister of health in Nigeria, reiterated UNFPA’s determination to promote health care facilities across the country, noting that reduction of maternal mortality is doable if the country pays more attention to access to health facilities, and the human resources to run them.

He also encouraged Nigeria to commit to providing resources for health care on a rollover basis, pledging that the UN would work with the country to provide humanitarian assistance not only in the north-east “but even extended to the Lake Chad basin.”
