Muki codes please for league and H2H. ![]() |
Welcome is much appreciated. ![]() |
Excited to see The Arsenal take to the field of play again. First trophy of the season in the bag - no way the haters can claim this one is trophyless. ![]() No idea where we'll end up, but excited all the same. Let the footie begin! ![]() |
lalaboi:Lalaboi send me details. I'm back from the dead. ![]() Mama Muki - please send codes for the main league. You have my details. ![]() |
Nihilist:Dude send me details for joining this league. Thanks |
Any more h2h league places available? #latecomer ![]() |
Yaya 'Lionel' Sanogo should be recalled by Arsene ASAP!!! ![]() |
So losing to Barcelona is the source of all this noise? ![]() A little bit of perspective may help: Better finishing may have helped Arsenal no doubt, but one may logically have said the same about Barca on the night - they only managed to score one goal from open play and the other was a foolishly conceded penalty. We lost 2-0 to a better side - end of story. We are struggling to score at the moment in general, and it can't be purely down to 'poor strikers' in my view. The goals will come soon. |
elampiro:It can pain ![]() |
All hail Petr Cruyff Cech - that dribble was epic! Unfortunately Leicester with all their 'fairytale' nonsense are no different from any other team. Vardy kicked Monreal to con the ref into a penalty, Mahrez dived in an attempt to con the referee again and Fuchs nearly broke Ramsey's leg. Clearly the pressure is getting to them hence the antics but good on them for what they've done so far. I wish them the best. Whoever has hidden Ramsey and Alexis' shooting boots should please release them - their shooting was beyond abysmal. Two good things about yesterday - Welbz the rejected came on and scored and Debuchy admitted that Wenger refused to let him join the scumtwats. Revenge sure is sweet. ![]() |
Happy New Year Gooners. Let's hope 2016 brings us trophies just like the last 2 years. ![]() |
Happy New Year folks. Here's wishing you all a prosperous 2016. ![]() |
Ibime:The revisionism comment is squarely addressed at your wingers and ninnys comment, not your pre-existing condition - Emenalo obsession. ![]() My point remains - if Leicester can be top, then alleged midfield deficiencies cannot be a rational reason for Chelski being 15th under JM. |
When I told Ibime months ago the issue was with JM alienating his players and everyone else at the club he disagreed. hammering on his debunked 'no midfield' postulation supported by oft-repeated Emenalo is at fault thesis. One would think the midfield of Watford, Leicester, Crystal Palace, Stoke, West Brom, etc. were better than Chelski's. Sow the wind and you reap the whirlwind - encouraging bad behaviour by Costa and co till they finally decided it was OK to also display the same behaviour to their own manager. Now Emenalo has left a team of wingers and wusses LOL. Weren't y'all crowing about Costa and Fabregas a few months ago? Now they fall in the wusses category? ![]() Revisionism is de rigueur for Chelski fans right now anyway so no surprises there . |
Top 4 hopes of Chelski slightly brighter after that Man Utd loss - I doubt Spurs will slip up against the barcodes though. |
Unfortunate for Martial really. . . .the boy is being asked to do the job of a man. I'm sure he'll come good eventually - he's just showing the inconsistency of youth. I hope y'all will chill on the 'next Thierry Henry' rubbish now. ![]() |
I haven't been on NL for a while but had to log back in to celebrate this great result by my seaside boys. Hope your filosofi is going well ![]() |
^^ Giroud is a very good striker who is delivering as expected. Aside from buying a Lewandowski-level striker y'all should be happy with Giroud's delivery and ask the fellow strikers (Walcott and Welbeck) when they return for similar output. |
Keky:I have to respectfully agree with Roland17 that this is akin 'akara analysis'. ![]() He's struggled against more physical midfields at times no doubt, but that's no fault of his. Kudos to Wenger for making a half-time change - usually things would have to get much worse before changes happen. A draw against Spurs is decent result considering fatigue and lack of rotation due to injuries. Personally I'd have taken Alexis off instead of Campbell who seemed to provide more of a threat, but it was a decent result in the end. What might have been with a more clinical striker than Giroud? I guess we could say the same thing if Spurs had a more lethal striker than Kane. Lots of rest and recharge required - hopefully with Arteta fit we can rotate Santi a bit to use him as a more offensive option from the bench while the other injuries recover. Without a doubt we should be going for a striker of some sort in January, even if it's only a loan. |
If your success strategy is dependent on constantly creating enemies soon enough you'll create enemies out of your own squad players and alienate them. As for all the midfield yarns by Ibime and Nateevs, it may be a problem but it's not why Benteke had time to take 5 touches in your box before scoring yesterday. For goodness sake this is slow Benteke we're talking about, not silky skilled Messi or super fast Suarez. |
This is pathetic now. . . .almost no effort being put in to defend. How much time did Benteke have there? |
How bad was Debuchy yesterday though? He has regressed so badly it's shocking! Add that to Gibbs switching off, Mertesacker looking like the malaria is still dealing with him and Chambers, well...being Chambers really and you're not surprised at the score line. The team was massively unbalanced I think - too many youngsters in midfield and little creativity. When your defence is also that awful there's little you can do. However with Swansea, Bayern and Spurs coming up I don't blame Wenger for giving the other guys a rest. This is one competition we could do without in reality considering our thin squad. |
Another good win by the gooners. Satisfying after the Bayern win to see the team deliver again in front of the home fans. Long may it continue ![]() Can we please be civil and stop the insults? It's completely unnecessary and unwelcome on this thread |
Chestar you better come and join the Gunners. I'm sad to see you heartbroken like this by Chelski. We'll take care of you ![]() |
Good win there by the excellent gooners. . . .also good to see some unity in this place. Passion, drive, intensity and quality- Arsenal had it all on the night. Long may it continue. |
Boatank? Neuer? Lewa? All neutralised and made to look ordinary by The Arsenal. ![]() Trust DK to come up with the 'we were just helping you' tosh. . . .Pep said after the game that they came to the Emirates to secure qualification for the next round. The reality is that Bayern were soundly beaten despite all their aimless passing. Where is the DJ here to continue the party? Abeg I need someone to play me Duro by Teckno. . . .that's what the Bayern defenders were singing to Bellerin when he zoomed past them like a comet. ![]() |
^^ Did Ramsey make it possible or was it more due to Bale? No need to overstate his contributions in my view. Good outcome though. |
Coogar how did you enjoy the whupping at the Emirates on Sunday? ![]() |
Spy360:The majority owner cares, so long as his investment keeps appreciating. The fact is winning the league would only serve to make Arsenal a more attractive brand for marketing/sponsorship and so on, so I do think winning is in the interest of the owners. The key question of course is how much extra spending would be required to achieve such a win compared to the anticipated income winning would produce. That's the bit I don't know much about. |
Spy360:Confidence or utter hubris? Time will tell. He isn't paid to 'not to bad in the league' - he is paid to win it. Wenger has no excuses - if the team fails to deliver it's all on him as he had funds to spend but didn't spend. Granted his favourite targets may have been unavailable, but there's no excuse for failing to sign anyone except Cech if it all goes downhill. |
elampiro:How can almighty Van Gaal do that? He has filosofi behind him and it always works. ![]() |
Our ex players are really doing well in the championship - Afobe and JET scoring braces and even forgotten man Wellington Silva scored for Bolton too. ![]() |
