I hope to see LANS Ozil play in the flesh for the first time on Sunday. Imagine a fit Ozil and fit Walcott and Sanchez in full flow. Getting ahead of myself of course - Stoke will wear their extra spiky boots and elbow pads on Sunday to give Per and co a hard time. |

He probably will. . . I expect Wenger to field him with a reaction in mind to all the stories about him this week. If he fluffs his lines though, a fit Ospina breathing down his neck is exactly what we need. I'll hopefully be at the Emirates on Sunday so I can give reports on his general performance and attitude beyond what y'all see on TV. |

LANS all over the place Ospina (barely played all season) Walcott (virtually hasn't played since last January) Ozil (over 3 months out) Ramsey Arteta Heck even Rozzi is LANS since he's played only like 5 games all season. Other candidates - Campbell, Akpom, and the best LANS of all: Abou Vassiriki Diaby. |

Now that was fun wasn't it? Nothing like self-induced tension to get the heart pumping after all that Christmas food. I hope Walcott gets a look in for the next game - Welbeck has been abysmal playing wide. . . maybe his luck will improve if he's played centrally. See as papa Santi a whole 30 year old allowed Sanchez to chance him off a penalty? Next time just tell am say scoring pens no be by muscles. |

Once I sell players they regain form. . . .just look at Sterling and Gylfi today.  Thank goodness RVP scored though, I couldn't bear two complete captain fails in a row. |

^^ The man will have to leave someday - or is he immortal? Of course transition can be tough on a club's performance/form which is why we should start planning from now. Besides, there are other clubs that have managed to change managers and keep being successful - Bayern managed it relatively well with Pep, so why can't we do it? It's not the job of fans to even say who should take his place - those getting paid all the £££ should be doing what they get paid for. |

I don't think we 'people at home' are clueless and need that much of an education from people who don't live in Nigeria. Granted, being a bit removed from the day to day situation may provide some perspective, but let's not be condescending. Unfortunately people even in 'developed' countries vote on 'sentiments' (whatever those sentiments might be). I think the enlightenment must come from within Nigeria as those of us in the country feel the effect more than our brethren abroad. The person abroad cannot feel the pain of lack of power and running generators more than those of us at home, or the effect of poor schools, insecurity etc. 6 Likes |

Overall we were lucky to get anything out of this abysmal performance. Of course, if you look at things from being in the lead till the end, we dropped two points. Not much else to say really - When young Chambers is busting a gut to try to intercept and while 'experienced' Per is ducking, it tells you some players should simply be eased out of the club. We need 2 CBs in January now, not one. |
