Been busy with other things bro. . . .I haven't popped in here for ages but I see some things never change. ![]() |
Hello scumtwats! Still going for the league? ![]() Count your lucky stars Liverpool couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, if not na 5th or 6th place for too sure for una. ![]() |
One man gang DK still doing his thing. ![]() Make una Kontinu. ![]() |
Well done to the gooners in the house...keep representing. ![]() Result at the weekend wasn't great, but I'll take a 0-0 against the soon to be crowned champions thank you. I'm not fussed about beating or not beating Chelski personally - we beat them 5-3 a few seasons ago and still struggled to finish 4th so not much of an indicator there. I would very much like to batter the scumtwats at OT, come second and win the FA Cup. If we do that this season then it's progress - not yet where we want to be, but progress all the same. |
Y'all have the cash so you can spend it. ![]() |
edi287:Not sure he's working any magic yet - Arteta has been missing virtually all season with one type of hamstring knock or the other, Flamini has also struggled and ditto with Ramsey getting crocked on a regular basis too. We're still having too many repeat injuries at the moment for me to be convinced. |
coogar:Very much alive. Just been busy providing blood plasma to ebola survivors worldwide. ![]() |
Why all the noise sef? It was clear JM was worried about the game even before it with all his comments about PSG being 'aggressive' and all that. It worked for him in getting Ibra sent off, but unfortunately the 'world class' defenders called Cahill and Terry couldn't organise a simple defence to guard against headed goals even when facing 10 men. That's the long and short of the story. Move on. ![]() |
It does feel good to see an ex-United player do the damage against them at OT. That's the best thing about the win - the rejected player comes back to bite them. Thanks for signing Welbeck Arsene. ![]() |
AirborneLacer:Abeg play me Shekini by Psquare. I no be Footballer but I sabi score pass Falcao oh. ![]() |
Welbz is not United quality eh? Morasuckers. ![]() |
DJ come and camp on this thread and torment the scumtwats. |
So bad midweek performance followed by a half decent weekend win with a clean sheet to boot. Didn't watch the Monaco game so I can't say too much about that beyond the abysmal finishing on the night that probably has cost us a place in the next round again, unless. . . As for Sunday's game, despite a few anonymous performances we had more than enough quality to win - if we'd picked up more wins this way, we would be even closer to Citeh. The main 'positive' is that we've not had the 3-4 game slumps that usually followed one bad performance. And as for Pazienza's comments, no - I don't blame Per for those goals specifically, I blame an overly attacking performance completely at odds with how we've approached games in general this year. If your CB's are both in the opposition half and it wasn't for a corner and your fullbacks were also high up then it's suicidal. In reality, Wenger gets the majority of the blame and maybe a little on Giroud for the loss. On to the next one - QPR. |
SailorXY:Quite confident aren't we? Why don't you think you'll lose more than a game from now till the end of the season? |
Quite a good weekend for us in the end, now on to the sweet music of the CL. ![]() |
Madame XY well done and hope the decision you take is the best one for the little girl and the family as a whole. One thing to bear in mind is that admission to nursery is not necessarily a guarantee that the child will get admitted to the primary (especially if it's oversubscribed). I think you should find out what the latest admission criteria was and whether you'd fit in (of course projecting out 2 years away) at the time of application. Secondly, if it only 3 hours a day at one nursery and the rest at the private one, the benefit appears slim to me, especially if (see above) nursery admission doesn't guarantee primary admission. Kids are more resilient that we often give them credit for and I'm sure she'll settle down nicely whichever choice you make. All the best. |
Long ball United come to a crashing halt. Man United is the best team in the premier league? In Van Gaal's nightmares ![]() |
Where is Elamps? He was saying Herrera hadn't scored for a while but he did today. Did Rooney play? Did he have a shot on goal? Just asking qweshuns, nothing more. ![]() |
Chelski fans are not feeling this ref, but me I dey feel am wella. ![]() Abeg who is the resident DJ? Spin Feeling dat Nikka by Dbanj for me ojare. ![]() |
Trying to decide on a venue to party on Saturday night - does your DJ play better Shoki or Sekem music? |
I'm trying to decide where to dance in advance - is the DJ here better with Shoki or Azonto? |
pazienza:No they can't easily build stadiums; even if they decided to, they would be effectively using revenue (which goes to all the clubs not just them) to build while their rivals can use same revenue to buy players. If they do that then they'll suffer a similar fate. The only way to build and avoid dropping below your peers is if an outsider pumps money in (like at Citeh) - if the source of money is available to all the clubs concerned then you have to match quality while they spend more than you, or drop below them. |
Meanwhile, Wenger has made the same comparison to the Henry era that Walcott did and got crucified for. I hope those of you that lined up to insult Theo will do so again now. ![]() |
4llerbuntu:**Dancing etighi, galala, shekini, swo, azonto, shoki and supersonic sekem** Biggest congratulations bros. Welcome lil gooner - here's hoping they give you a good present against Palace today. ![]() |
pazienza:Study in contradiction here. Can you clarify the difference between the 'likes of Boro' and Leicester given they are, in effect only one place apart in the league at the moment? Ahem, make sure mertersacker continue staying on the bench, Paulista is a big upgrade, good solid performance from him today. Koscielny was even overlapping, knowing that Paulista has the pace to cover up for him, something he(Kocielny) would never try when paired the German snail.Sure - having a decent game against Boro is now the measure for determining when you should bench a WC winning defender. |
pazienza:Sell Per? Are you attempting humour? Serious clubs are holding on to and some even buy vastly experienced CBs yet you're advocating selling Per - next thing you'll start another rant that Wenger is clueless when our defensive performances worsen. One would think Per was missing when we had a run of clean sheets a few weeks ago. Just because of one decent performance against Boro we should start easing him out. Talk about short sightedness of the highest order. |
damiso:You mean okporoko? It's just the dry fish. Makes me remember my secondary school days - we used to call one guy okporoko the crayfish because he was as stingy/tight fisted as they come. Getting water out of okporoko was easier than getting that guy to spend money. ![]() |
sukkot:So this fella is still alive? I thunk you had been taken away like brother Enoch. ![]() |
Spy360:I don't think it took much to get ahead of Chambers at that moment - the guy was worn out and struggling badly so it wasn't that much of a surprise. That said he has delivered competent performances, just conscious of the weaknesses in his game. Question: What can Arsene do to this present crop to ensure we win the title next season? Your thoughts.Keep the team fit? ![]() That would be the start IMO - you can't keep racking up injuries like we do and have any chance. There's a limited number of players you can have (and Wenger isn't a big fan of rotating) hence keeping your best guys fit is the best option. Add to that a DM, bring back Jenks from loan and the magic ingredient called consistency and let's see how far we go. |
Bellerin has been OK, but not much more than that. I think the Spurs game showed how vulnerable we are on the right if the opposition targets that wing. Both goals came due to mistakes on the right - first goal because no one picked Harry Kane as he drifted to the far post after the corner, the second from poor closing down of Bentaleb allowing him all the time in the world to pick his cross for Harry Kane. Not that I'm solely blaming Bellerin for the goals, but it does show that we can be exposed in that area so there is definitely room for improvement. |
chrisley024:Are you Van Gaal in disguise? ![]() |
A big top of the long ball table clash tomorrow, I wonder who will lob it forward more. ![]() |
