If this won't seem to be deviating from topic. Potential candidates for American institutions should check out if their proposed educational institutions is indeed accredited/legitimate.

The website below lists all fraudulent institutions in US (including those offering "online distance learning)

This forms part of the reasons why most visa applicants would give evidently good answers whilst being interviewed, yet they would be denied visas. The consular is quick to visit this website and once your institutions falls under the category that has been listed there, your denial is imminent.

Save time, efforts, and more importantly your money by researching before applying.

Goodluck (No be Jonathan Goodluck oo) to all applicants.

TravelRe: Ireland Embassy by debouy: 12:11pm On May 18, 2010
There is an administrative office of the Irish Embassy in Sinari Daranijo str, Victoria Island, Lagos. It's beside the South African High Consulate.

However, they only offer comprehensive information and administrative processing of all documents that you shall be needing and submitting for your visa application. The consular section is located in Abuja.

I was there. Very helpful staff.

Dear Nairaland,

I want to apply for an Msc program in Luxembourg, does anyone here in nairaland know how i can go about the whole process of getting the study permit and visa,is there a guide to applying just like US,UK and canadian study visa?is there anyone here who can assist with any ideas?

Hope to hear from you guys soon,

Cheers!
debouy:
To the best of knowledge, there is no diplomatic representation of Luxembourg in Nigeria.

For visa purposes however, you can apply for a Luxembourg entry visas from any Belgian or Dutch embassies in Nigeria.

Should there be no Belgian or Dutch embassies still in Nigeria, then you are entitled to apply for visas at any Schengen embassy.  So act fast and get more information from these embassies that i have mentioned.

Goodluck.
What other information do you require? What else don't you understand? There is no Luxembourg embassy or representation in Nigeria and the only way is to apply at any Belgian Embassy in Nigeria , and for that Student visa requirements applies. You were advised to contact Belgian embassy for student visa requirements and application process.

A student should be proactive in gathering information about his proposed studies in Luxembourg, even more so, for someone proposing to study M.Sc.

i do not know what you call yourself, your are breaking law of south Africa u can not use any temp permit to work, if u want to work apply for work permit, if u want study apply for study permit, that's where i said can help, u need not to pay me any cent about, i asked you again where do u come from, someone that have study permit that's working anywhere i have seen naja people doing that but that is off job and their employer is breaking the law
Again, i reiterate, study permit entitles student to part-time work no more than 20hours a week (contractual or whatever)

No need to come on public forums and insult people.
TravelRe: Question On S.a. Study Permit by debouy: 7:14pm On Mar 13, 2010
A temporal residency permit, Study Permit, Spousal visas etc all allows you to live and work legally in SA. AS for work, you only need to quote your temorary residency control number on all employment documents as evidence/rights to work in SA.

Depending on the university, expect to pay between N500,000 – N600,000 for tuition alone. Accomodation is expensive and also depending on the location, budget an average of N600,000 – N1Million per year ,  Food is relatively cheap. Do not expect to pay your tuition with a part-time job!
@ Amiable 2

Can you pls show me where I quoted such amounts as being fees for MBA? That’s why I said “depending on the university”.In any case, those amounts that I stated above are only estimates and its based on my programme. (MA). I’m sure you can always contact the universities directly about tuition inquiry.

@Mobuch
Well all programmes do have bright career prospects,. It all up to you & Perhaps destiny

@Dis Guy

Thanks for clearing the misconception

South African universities are ranked among the best in Africa. Most notably, University of Capetown, Univ of Pretoria and Stellenbosch as well. The standards of education are quite high, and the degrees are recognized globally. The universities are better organized, hence the large influx of exchange students from Europe & USA.

Depending on the university, expect to pay between N500,000 – N600,000 for tuition alone. Accomodation is expensive and also depending on the location, budget an average of N600,000 – N1Million per year ,  Food is relatively cheap. Do not expect to pay your tuition with a part-time job!

The job prospects are high depending on proposed course.

I’m rounding off studies on a Master’s programme ,  I can tell you, its worth studyin here.

Pls feel free to ask further questions (if you have any) .

Good luck in your educational quest!

Yes, you can use your own bank statements as evidence since you are sponsoring yourself which is not a sin. The repatriation fees is paid at the embassy visa your debit/bank ATM cards.u will simply need to load N110,000 and additional N8.600 as application fees on that card, and it will be deducted from your account via the card with you on a POS. please ensure you get a receipt for this.
bear in mind that Thursdays are the only day set aside for students applications unless they have changed the system

Goodluck once again.

TravelRe: South African Study Visa by debouy: 12:55pm On Oct 06, 2009
Study permit is also Student visa. "Permits" are commonly used in Commonwealth countries to denote this.
Upon securing admission into any educational institution in SA, you are expected to submit:
Admission Letter
Evidence of accommodation arrangement
In some cases (payment towards your tuition/studies at the institution)
N110,000 Repatriation deposit (Returnable upon completion of studies)
Bank statements and other documents
Educational documens (such as WAEC ETC)
Medical insurance in SA (Very Compulsory) It's best to pay for this in SA and not use the embassy recommended clinic around Herbert Macaulay (YABA) as they are expensive.
Lastly, documents to prove you will return to Nigeria upon completion of studies.

I hope this helps?

Goodluck in your quest

i would recommend Airk Air unreservedly to anyone. I flew with them last weekend on a Johannesburg-Lagos-Johannesburg route.
Arrive and depart in time, the aircraft is new and clean. In-flight entertainment was excellent and cabin crew service was superb. Drank lots of wines on board. (at least na my money)

Support the Nigerian cause .

RomanceRe: Why Do They Keep Coming Back? by debouy: 4:30pm On May 22, 2009
Lolarde,
Taking time away from guys wont do you any good as you will only end up missing on "vital relationship  experience " with men by the time you decide to resume from your "break".

The way i see it,nothing is wrong with a 2nd chance, but a 3 rd chance gives reasons to raise an eyebrow. At the 3rd attempt of any relationship, the blame could be on either party and not just you.

Its not strange that men act the way they do,likewise the women as well, but to be honest with you when u're are "truly" commited to a man like u said you were, and you dont get the desired result from the other end, then its time for you to find out what could be the bane of the problem. In most case,it could be pysical turn-off about you from these guys which they may be ashamed/shy to discuss with you. Cases of offensive vaginal odor, mouth odor, etc could arise and they move on to the next lady who doesnt have these.believe me, no man ever wants to leave a good woman, EVER!!!  He prefers to actually marry the Good woman at home and still find time to frolick with his numerous girls elsehwhere,(if need be, )

Even the bible says" he who finds a wife finds a good thing" The bible itself knows the importance a good woman is to any relationship.
My suggestions may appear somewhat biased or discrimanatory to some extent , its only a comment.

Should you require further advise, i'd be happy to communicate via email to you with  other suggestions/ comments.

Wish you the best!

TravelRe: After Ur Bsc, Is It Still Worth It Going Abroad To Hustle? by debouy: 1:25pm On May 16, 2009
Sorting out your data once again,

1.your mum is classified as 'middle class' Which means she's doing not bad financially.
2. You have 3 job offers already (two banks and a microfinance)
And you are thinking of going abroad to "pursue Your masters degree and hustle while doing that so i can support myself and family in nigeria" Believe me,There is no job that you will pcik up as a student in any developed country including some of those you have mentioned that would pay you as much to further your education and also be able to send money back to your family at home, (Believe me)
Life as student is all rosy in any country especially for foreign student as you have restrictive hours of working and limited shcolarship/bursary opportunities and note that will surely pay double the fees being paid by local students,

My advise, If truly you have been offered a job here, take it and grow yourself finacially in investments and savings for now and the good news is that you can always visit any of these countries and see things firsthand before taking the plunge further.
Like i said, It's just an advise,

The Lord will show you the way,

the relationship stands a better chance if they dont live in India I guess. And if the man especially has minimal or zero contact with his family.

truly love and marriage has no boundary.Yes u can marry him provided you shall live in Nigeria and not India, As for staying with his mom i would advise u take d trip and experience firsthand what u're going into.
