Regarding camera, I haven't seen either of them and not interested but your tests isn't enough proof to conclude that. Yes, you can see some camera reviews about the C9 pro online but it's not compared to phantom 8 which makes it difficult to read a conclusion .

Okay, since you haven't seen either of them or shot with any of them, then you have no idea what we are talking about here. Then, this makes you trying to undermine my experience with both null and void.

I haven't seen a team defend the 3 point line like Raptors did yesterday. They went pound for pound last night making Rockets settle for jumpers and drawing fouls. Rocket players got frustrated especially Harden who got double teamed occasionally forcing some TOs off him

Let's not argue facts when we can easily do a spreadsheet of specs and compare and contrast through videos online

First of all, the c9 Pro goes for 135k or more. If he got it for 118k, it's not new. Even a meagre A5 2017 by Samsung costs more than the phantom 8.


Second of all, I never said Phantom 8 is better than the c9 Pro. If I had to choose one, I would go for the Samsung cos of the screen; processor and consequently, battery life.

But for someone that can't go that high for a smartphone, the phantom 8 is plenty good.

Lastly, Samsung made some compromises when compared to their flagships or even A series. Phantom 8 tends to be better in those aspects:

1) C9 pro utilized metal in their design. It's sturdy and of good quality but Phantom 8 upped them here. Phantom 8 has that nice fit and finish plus a 2.5D curved body, making it feel expensive.

2) C9 pro camera is a hit and miss. Don't let the megapixels or focal aperture deceive you. It's good in daylight photos [not better than Phantom 8] but below average in low light mode. Both phones aren't that good in the latter scenes but Phantom 8 shows more details. Even Samsung deprived the selfie camera with features.

3) C9 pro's speakers are a hit and miss. Add an earphone to utilize the audio quality, you still get same bland sounds. Phantom 8 did better here with loudness, clarity and highs.

4) This may be personal opinion too but I prefer Phantom 8's fingerprint sensor to C9 pro


I have close friends that use both. I myself use a Samsung s7. C9 pro is good in power and performance. However, Samsung made few compromises in media aspects to bring the price down. Everything isn't about specs...

C9 pro had some compromises in the design and camera. Phantom 8 is better in those 2 aspects.

Korver is just a streak shooter. He has to get into rhythm and most especially, get people to create shots for him. He brings a game close but cannot close out one.

Curry can shoot a 3 when you want him to, creating it; another advantage. That's why he's one of the best in clutch 3s. Again, he does that with a defender on his face. Breaking almost all 3 pointers records in that short time makes him better.

Any coach knows who to pick...

The only thing Oneplus got going for it is performance and multi tasking. That's negligible to me if I were in your place cos s7 edge is plenty power already.

Tecno Phantom has HDR, NFC, USB type C. Every Nougat device (7.1) also has some form of 3D touch


There are also third party apps for some features listed there: Always On Display, Dual video recording

There is also Google assistant, a good substitution for the Bixby

Samsung Pay is non functional in this part of the world where the Tecno's market is

I don't think anybody is comparing Phantom 8 to Samsung s8. The strong point here is Phantom 8 is a huge bargain for the people that can't spend that much on a phone.

Samsung will find it hard to release a phone like phantom 8 at that price point without some compromises.

Both capture a different type of market. That's why tecno devices will continue to outsell Samsung flagships in this part of the world.

Tecno Phantom 8 is decent at that price. The only gripe I have with it is the processor. Regardless, it's very hard to purchase a 2017 phone with its features for less...

An s6 of 2015 brand new is at least 80% more than the 2017 phantom's.

Samsung is one of the OEMS that release expensive gadgets. An A5 2017 (130k) or A7 2017 (150k) released 10 months ago costs more than this phone but pales in specs when compared to the phantom .

So what's the essence of having a 20mp camera that can't shoot ordinary 4k video?

Camera and 4k are unrelated. If you don't have the right processor to put up with that resolution at that frame rate, 4k won't work. Tecno used a mid tier mediatek processor. They focused more on image quality from what I can deduce

Xiaomi mi 6 is made with a ceramic finish with gold accents. One of the most beautiful phones ever, in the league of S8 and it cost just a little above the ridiculous glossy steel Phantom. You think that glossy 'stainless steel' is premium?

Xiaomi mi6 is metal
Oneplus 5 is metal
Even the C9 pro that's metal looks less premium than Phantom 8, yet more expensive

This design is not outdated. This design is still the norm of mid tier devices. Premium, high range smartphones simply moved to bezeless, 18:9 screens. Those cost $900-$1000. This phone is $345

Besides, HTC/Xiaomi/Oneplus uses glossy finish on their flagships. Nobody has complained. You're getting a very good design for $345

To your question, can I pay 128k for this? Absolutely NO, there are lots of better smartphones in the market at same or similar price range.

There aren't "lots" in that price range. The only 2 new smartphones that can favorably compete are C9 Pro (more expensive, uglier looking), and Honor 9.


The only issue I see with this phone is the processor. It's very disappointing. A higher MTek or snapdragon 625/653 woulda been better.

Save for that, this phone is competitively priced especially in that packaging.

1st quarter is usually tricky
The second quarter is usually <28-33
but the 3rd quarter is usually around >34-40.. Use is to your advantage.
Don't even try 4th quarter cos the starters might not even play and point differentials would fûck you up. They can be up by 30 before the starters sit and the game would end up with difference of 15.

My brother, apart from 3rd quarter, every other quarter is way too unpredictable. 3rd quarter sef just sure for now but hin don do me something. Na why I leave quarter stuff for Warriors. Na only Rockets, Nuggets, Jazz, Heat, Celtics and Bucks that are fairly constant for quarter.

In M. Plumlee (when he comes off the bench) and N. Jokic, the Nuggets have their own twin tower. Jokic is so talented, he can bring the ball up the court, he is a very strong rebounder on both ends, a good jump shooter from outside the arc and more importantly, a very good passer. He handles the ball so much and so well that it opens the court for the guards. The Manimal is no longer the best player on this roster and this is best for the Nuggets especially since the inclusion of P. Milsap. The Nuggets are quite underrated for how good they play and their guard play which is rotated between J. Murray and E. Mudiay from the point looks good and coordinated. While their 3rd position in the western conference may be short lived I think it buttresses how this team has gelled.

If Nuggets were in the East...

Face unlock has been on android for years now, even on ICS (4.0). Apple didn't invent it but made it less limiting than Android's.
