A40: Kawhi Leonard had 17 free throws last night too. If you guys are keeping score Harden has had 8 40+ point games where he's made <10 FGs. 13% of his 40+ games are where he made less than 10 field goals. No other player in NBA history has had more than 2 If you take the number of 40 point games he's had with 12 or less FGs, then that'll be worse. Harden attempts roughly the same number of 3 pointers as Curry. The same number!!! But who gets fouled more on the arc? The number of times is 126 against Curry's 18 last season. Isn't that a player that begs for the foul? Harden uses that leg work of a defender recovering from a pick to get fouls almost every time. It's smart, good but that sort of offense is very lazy especially when he isn't a skinny PG or slow. The NBA can't do anything cos the fouls he gets are clear but you can't deny the fact that his type of game isn't making this modern game fun. Issa lie... |

rotimi9: LeBron, westbrook, simmons, capela, harell, shaq, all poor free throw shooters even though dey get those amount of calls they probably won't convert em as well as harden does.they then have to rely on their physicality athleticism and power to score d basket Are you telling me that the reason these people always attack the rims is partly due to the fact that they're afraid of shooting free throws? Or are you saying unlike the poor FT shooters, Harden isn't physically strong to score at the rim without being fouled? Unconfuse me brother... |

rotimi9: He made 21 outta 27 free throws,u think converting dat amount of free throws is easy,If u watched d game u will c dat dey double teamed him all through d night and dey ended up fouling in most cases. Even if he draws 100 fouls, dats just d easy part. Convert em first. Ask LeBron or Westbrook if u think converting em is easy. Hez mastered d art of offensive play, don't hate just appreciate greatness This your point, I nuh understand... So he should get calls more cos he can convert them or others shouldn't because they can't? Ehn? So we should appreciate his greatness at free throw making? I no understand at all... |

Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Decale: 12:52pm On Dec 23, 2018 |
Roland17: Like @Khanben said, we really need to credit Brodie for some of the success PG13 and by extension the Thunder are enjoying. He has kept his game simple and now defers to PG especially during clutch situations. That is the maturity I have been looking for from Brodie. Remember critics argue that he can not play alongside another superstar? Well, he is proving a lot of us wrong this season. The big difference in WB is his learning ability. He's now taking each quarter at a time rather than rush it. He understands he now has a deeper roster and he's relieving himself of the star of the show. That sacrifice is evident with their record. OKC is just silently taking one game at a time; and that's the environment PG13 seems to be flourishing How Melo will feel now! Leaving two franchises who simultaneously start doing better. He should just join Celtics for my sake |

Khanben: He has been unplayable these past 6 weeks. Thumbs to him, Russ and the coach. Westbrook has really reined in his excessiveness and pigheadedness and the coach has seriously done his job in fitting both his stars into his system. If PG13 continues to play like this especially on the defensive end (i have him currently as the DPOY) and OKC finishes in the top 2 in the west then he will definitely be in the MVP discussion top 5 at least Isn't he top 5 now? For me at least: Giannis Kawhi Curry LeBron PG13 Jokic Harden Embiid And my DPOY currently will be Gobert. His game against Warriors did it for me. |

M.v.p-most valuable player
Lakers last year after 24 games were 8-16 and at d end of d season finishing 37-45 11th in d conference not earning any playoff spot. LeBron joins Dis year and after 24 games are 15-9,5th in d western conference, the warriors only one place higher. Cmon man yet we talk about VALUE.
Jeez man, curry could sit out d whole season left wit an healthy Thompson Durant, green and cousins.yet d warriors make the playoff spot and possibly getting past d 2nd round. Dat ain't d case for LeBron... Let him sit out d whole season Lakers are surely not earning any playoff spot. Cmon man ur curry adds value, dats facts. But u can't compare d value LeBron adds to the Lakers to d one he adds to the warriors.u a Curry fan but b real. We've argued this rationale of MVP here over and over again NBA giving the MVP award to a player never connotes the "most valuable" as you put it. In that case people like Kemba Walker would be in the conversation MVP as well as any other sporting awards are given largely to the best player in the best team. A player that consistently helps with his stats to take a team to the highest echelon there is and wherein the team suffers a setback, though not major when he's out. Your basis of putting LeBron over Curry is not a crucial part of MVP selection unless LeBron averages a triple double for the whole season. Even when he did average that for a full series, he wasn't given the finals MVP cos his team wasn't better. The genesis of this argument is with each player's stats, who has been the better player? LeBron or Curry? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Decale: 11:10am On Dec 06, 2018 |
Curry is having these numbers in a team with one player averaging 29.8ppg and in the MVP conversation; another with 22.3ppg
But it is LeBron that the next player is averaging 16ppg that we should be saying he's doing better.
Lmao... |

rotimi9: damn did u really say Embid rookie season wasn't standout.averaging 20.2 points and 2.1 assists as a rookie isn't stand out? Even for a centre? Even luka doncic is averaging lesser ppg. Dammn.u just a curry fan bro he's not in LeBron's level now or anytime to come look up d stats and watch d games well.. :Dnumbers don't lie Why am I even arguing with you? How does a rookie who played 35 games in an 82 game season averaging 20 points per game with a team that didn't reach the playoffs a standout season? Warriors is 12-3 when he plays and 5-6 without. Curry leads LeBron in points, PER, win shares, offensive rating, BPM, FTM%, eFG%, all with less minutes but no LeBron's season is better Prior to Curry's injury, he's on top of MVP ladder by NBA.com. But you Rotimi from Ajaokuta thinks LeBron is having a more spectacular season Continue... |

rotimi9: den how will u name someone who hasn't played 70% of NBA games an mvp contender embid last 2 seasons lost d rookie of d year to Brandon due to fewer games played despite averaging better numbers Because Embiid's rookie season was not a standout one. And he only played 40% of the total games Curry's 15 games are greater than Bron's 24. And I repeat; with minimal effort. He remains healthy playing at this same level, then he's winning that MVP no question about it |

Curry is only high up in 3 points made...bro day pic u showed earlier was early Dis season...pls look it up again Lol. 30.2 is his current ppg. Use stats from Nba.com and go to general You won't find him in traditional standings cos he's not played 70% of Warriors games. Thought you or everybody knew this |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Decale: 9:53am On Dec 06, 2018 |
rotimi9: made an error there.. But yet it still doesn't change d fact dat in d league as of today LeBron has higher chances of bagging d MVP dan any other player (especially someone playing with 4 other all stars)apart from Kawhi(reason being he has d better team record)
Look at d history books,no MVP has come from a team below 3rd seed except Westbrook ,who won dat year bcus he averaged a triple double which had never been done since Oscar robertson. LeBron Dis year is averaging monstrous numbers in a team with no current all star,he leads d Lakers team in points made assists, boards, he's basically carrying d Lakers team which is very obvious. The only fault in his resume is his team record which places Kawhi(who has lesser numbers) over him. For now LeBron has better chances Dan curry You just supported my opinion there. What's making LeBron unique to join Brodie? Nothing Now look at Curry: He's averaging less minutes than Bron with more points. He's making 5 3s a game at over 50% . Yes!!! 50% He has a +/- of 10.3. Yes!!!! 10.3 Bron barely has 2 He has an offensive rating of almost 120 when he's playing. 120 points!!!! He's the game changer in a team that's struggling with the all stars. His numbers aren't like yesterday or last season's (unlike Bron). These are game changing numbers that you can't help but admire. Someone that ends up with 40s playing only 3 quarters shouldn't be lower than Bron that barely scrapes a win LeBron is in the conversation but most definitely not "way higher" than Curry. Thanks! |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Decale: 9:31am On Dec 06, 2018 |
rotimi9: curry? Nah LeBron is even way higher Dan curry. D league won't hand d MVP over to someone playing with 4 other all stars.he only leads the league in 3 points made nothing more. Whereas LeBron is averaging a higher PPg and apg with a team that didn't make d playoffs in d last 3 years. Cmon man. You say? Kawhi/Curry Giannis LeBron Durant Not even an argument
